T1: 22.540
T2: 21.126
T3: 17.934

Hmm, I best get back to it - by my reckoning this is about .150 quicker than me đź‘Ť

Concerted effort tonight to try and break 1:01.500 so that I'm in with a slim chance come the end - assuming of course that you all just stay with the times you've already got, don't go getting faster now ya hear!? ;)

There we go again:

T1: 22.102
T2: 21.709
T3: 17.532

Slightly faster at the line.

Ballast position set to its default position this time, there's no exploit, there's nothing.

Had another session...

T1: 22.303
T2: 20.898
T3: 17.604

I've been .3 up on these, but this lap has my best final corner and my ghost just keep driving through me to the line!

Amazing splits Ramon, but I'm sure you mean 20.709 for T2, not 21.709 đź‘Ť

I think you've put T2 in wrong, cos these splits have dropped you down 13 places!! :)

Nice splits Chris! I have found T3 to be pretty fickle for me. I am not sure how you guys are going so low in T1. My times are usually in the 22.4 to 22.6 region with an occasional 22.3. T2 to seems to be my best, consistent sector.
Thanks mate :) I'm now making a mess of T1 and keep over cooking my entry into turn 1, leaving me too far to the left for turn 2. Keep repeating the same mistake over and over today - very annoying. I don't think I'll be catching the podium for D2 this week but I didn't expect to do well - I have mixed feelings about stock cars and have only driven Indy Street once before, so I'm pretty happy with my progress - knocked 1.7 secs off my first run.

I'm trying sir!! My main car from this week only has 1628.7 miles....
 Your dedication shames me as ever matey. I've only used the one car and its done 371 miles so far. I think I'd better put some more miles in this weekend... :)

I'm still using my own setup but given the other tunes available, I expect no-one else is using it. Here anyway:

Transmission:
Top speed 211
1st gear adjusted to 2.372

LSD:
10/50/16

Suspension:
-25/-25
13.3/12.4
7/6
7/6
6/6
0.9/0.7
-0.07/0.00

Brakes:
4/7
ABS 9
TCS 0

I'm still walking sideways, lost the plot in T1 but ok T2. T3 is still proving a mystery to me but improved 0.05 at the line:

T1: 22.413
T2: 20.879
T3: 17.965

Starting to think that may be it this week. I can go to a T1 of 22.2xx if I get it together but I've only seen a T3 of 17.7xx once - now I think it was a fluke. So maybe another 0.2 to find on the lap but its a bit desperate.

Ash - you've made a flying entrance to D2. You're not easily pleased though are you mate? I'd be ecstatic with that T3. :)

Wohoo, I'm quicker than Ramon!!!!! I am a racing legend, I am the man, I am Alien material

What? Oh. Nevermind then...

Chris, you know what..."walk away for another day." Lots of time left till the deadline.

I been trying different cars and I find the PP on at least one that is higher than others. Does two or three PP really make a difference; the car handling does feel a little better?

Right now, trying to get the miles up on another car and see what it does.

By the way, I plan on checking your tune out before round two of the draft tonight. :)

Hi guys haven't been around since gt4 wrs. Tried this for fun, very tail happy! 2 kids later and I have very little timefor gt5 but I enjoy it. Using the controller doesn't help much either... Not sure of how to submit lap as my PS3 has no internet, I only have it at work.

I must be missing a trick (well, the right line) in T2, my absolute best is a .806. I don't know if the problem is attacking the first corner too hard which is then compromising me in the first hairpin. I also find myself drifting on the exit of the last hairpin in the sector, but that kills speed. Frustrating.

Hmm. I need to work on there tomorrow.

As it happens I am using your tune that you posted originally, except I changed the Brake Balance to 3/7 as I had been running that before I used your tune and was more comfortable with it. So thanks for posting it.

Also if you saw my T3 and the big slide in it, you would understand why I am not happy with it.:sly:

I have now changed car again to see if this one is any better than the other two I have already used. Earlier I set a lap only two tenths down on my best at only 875bhp, so maybe I can beat my time with it once it has full power.:)

Make that 1,870.9 miles. :dopey:
This lap starts off slow, without a great sector time, then just takes off into the great wide open. I've been up on it by .150 at t3, only to miss turn 11 by a foot to the inside. There's always tomorrow!! :)
T1: 22.505
T2: 21.053
T3: 17.687

Race On!!

I'm just wondering how many got screwed by having a car that was broken in on their other account. sigh.... I bought two this week along with completing the Jeff Gordon challenge.

I'm also curious as to what lap you guys are running your best times. For me, its lap 1, which is very odd because the tires are so cold, but its always the only one I come close to my ghost.

Double screwed Mr Brinkley sir - couldn't trade my car from the main account and was only at lvl 17 on my GTP account and I only finished levelling up Thursday evening. Tried the Jeff Gordon challenge, but now that they've forced SRF on it was becomming quite frustrating so cut my loses and went shopping. Only used one car - unless there are night and day differences I can't see it making a huge difference was the set-up is dialled in.

My fastest lap is usually on my second after a warm-up lap - I like the reality of this as well, kind of like a shootout!

My splits are still not showing on the leaderboard though :grumpy:

Apparently you're very anxious to have your splits on the board, so I decided to input them manually for you đź‘Ť
I've no clue why they weren't picked up by Fetchy and also don't know if they will after this manual intervention.

Hope I didn't make any miscalcs :D

Apparently you're loosing a bit of time in the third sector so you might want to give that some extra effort if you want to make it to D3 gold.

Thank you Steven - My sector three time though was 17.934 (see post #294) for a total of 1' 01.600, but I agree, still losing time to Chuk in T3 :)

Carlos, I was in the same boat, level 19, and yes, the JG challenge was alot harder than it used to be. The only way I won the race where you pit and come out with 2 to go was to jump in front of the 4th place guy (can't remember who it was) and get slammed from behind in order to catch the front 3 guys. I tried about 30 minutes before I became frustrated and decided I didn't have time to kill beating it the correct way.

I can already tell I'm going to have to get back behind the wheel if I'm wanting a podium this week.... the fight is on in division 3. :-)

That's cool, thanks Ash đź‘Ť

I'm now setting 22.2xx's regularly in T1 but throwing it away at the left hander in T2. I think I'll take your advice Dan and kick it in the head for tonight. Spend tonight dreaming about my line through T3 and my braking point for the left hander in T2 and tomorrow storm the leaderboard with my best for the week. :dopey:

Chuk - awesome T3 mate. Can I borrow it?

Edit - Reposted current splits to see if the leaderboard picks them up

T1: 22.413
T2: 20.879
T3: 17.965

Now that I have given up on PSN restoring before the end of this weeks combo I did some grinding and purchased every one of the NASCAR models to now play one against each other. Right now my favorite car is Eclipse, I have tried the setup on the Toyota and the Ford. I still have the Chev to try it out on. After I get a winner I will then take the runner ups and use Chuks setup, the winner will be called Chuck. With one left I will flip between Vagabond, Stotty and Red. The models do handle different IMO :)

Just to make everyone’s search for that little bit of help a little bit easier I went through all the post in this thread for info on what to do, It’s kind of like one stop shopping for help…. Pick the thought bubble on the quote and enjoy, use the back button to come back here.
