US - Daniel has a lap on youtube from GT Academy of this track which I've been watching to gain some insight. Insight is one thing however, repeating it is a whole 'nother ball game...

Be impressed...

Use lots of kerb on first right, full throttle, brake just before shadow in to left hander, down to first (easier to keep the car in to the apex imo) gradually bring up the throttle, shift to 2nd and then lift off with a dab of brake at the next shadow before the final right-hander, keep in tight and on the power early. I think the exit is the most important part of the sector.

Ok so I finally reached level 21 today and bought a NASCAR! Time I went on the attack :D

Tentative first splits for me.. Adjusted my gear ratios slightly and thats it. Missed the apex at 4, got a wheel on the grass in 6, (leaving me a whole car width from the curb all around it).. Missed apex at 8, almost lost it into 9, and I had a slow entry/exit at 11.

Pretty scruffy lap then, and I couldn't help but notice my hands swapping furiously to try and stay in a straight line! Plenty of time out there but I'm not sure my tuning skills can cover it.. Got work a little later too so it looks like a mad dash on saturday and sunday :(

Hey ho, cant win 'em all ;)

T1: 22.496
T2: 21.314
T3: 18.248

Congrats to all those promoted and welcome to the new drivers!
Special 👍 to Josh and Zoky on joining the elite.
Time to get back to racing as yesterday was consumed by the cooler at the restaurant going down again. :yuck:

Race On!

Lefty... I'm not an alien like Ramon and Zoky, but I'd be happy to run a few laps at 700bhp and see how it feels.

Stotty you are crazy fast and if you want to to be a testing ginny that woudl be cool, but the goal post got moved by Eclipsee’s setup and my ability to push the threshold. The dropoff that I was picking up on was the problem w/ my setup not the tires.

I just wish I could understand how this setup works so well but since I have to work today more testing will have to wait. I have to knock out a job and won't be able to come out and play, so it will be hard not peeking over the fence as I try to concentrate. It looks like the evening shift for me tonight as long as I still have any go left in me when I get done. I just know that I'm going to go through withdrawls :nervous: .

First splits.

T1: 22.523
T2: 21.035
T3: 17.771

I was surprised, that car can drift very well even on Racing Mediums. :dopey:

#OPPOSITE LOCK :D

Removed pictures, forgot about the rule about the choice of car...sorry :S

^...Quick, somebody throw a tarp over that car!!

Using Ramon's settings [I just wish I could handle all the "zest" that your settings deliver], but had to change the LSD 10/40/10; Active steering felt better for me on Mild. Also, I stomp the brake too hard so running ABS at 4.

I do believe I am running a different NASCAR than Ramon, so I'm going to switch over to my other accounts and try the same settings on two other cars...just in case Sony gets back up and running. ;)

Still going to take a look at the settings Chuk, Chris and Stotty posted.

After two oil changes and 251 miles......292hp, 567ft-lb....

T1: 23.269
T2: 21.876
T3: 19.123

I'm struggling to make progress, most laps turning out the same way... stuck in the groove I think its called. :dopey: Don't know if it's me, my wheel, or my tune - not getting alot of feedback from the tyres and I can't really feel any difference with setup changes.

This may be as fast as I can go with this combo but its still better than I expected after the first run. Car now at 892hp

T1: 22.331
T2: 21.025
T3: 17.958

You've got the bit between your teeth this week again eh Chuk? ;)

Great to see you back in for a slice Steve mate. Nice opening splits... rusty, my butt cheeks 👍

Nice to see you drop in for a round as well Roh. :)

Redreevos - holding the flag for D2 this week. 👍 Nice time matey.

Walking sideways...

T1: 22.397
T2: 21.021
T3: 18.051

0.1 down in T3 but 0.1 up at the line. After today's session I reckon if I flog myself (and my wheel) I can find another 0.5 over the 3 sectors and maybe another 0.7 on the lap. With a new wheel coming next week, my G25 may run its last this weekend and be sacrificed on the WRS altar.

Thanks 👍, will give this a try this night, think i got the braking spots all wrong :ill:

Getting the hang of T2 a bit more:

T1: 22.370
T2: 20.915
T3: 17.983

Another half second in T1 and 6 tenths at the line.:D
Looking good this week.

22.640
21.550
18.449

Another 20 laps. Still default settings except for top speed at 350:

22.762
21.243
17.897

It'll be it for this week.

Well I decided to work my way up to level 21 so I can take part because I like the sound of this combo!

Currently at 20, so hopefully tomorrow I'll be joining you on the boards! :)

New splits:

22.497
21.162
18.141

better t1, worse t2 and 3, but a gain.

I've tried the active steering at strong now, didn't notice any difference at all.
I have my best time with it on, but couldn't honestly I believe it did anything for me.
I'm at the point of submission though, sent my replay to the hard drive already, lol.

First 5 laps at 824hp.

22.770
21.493
18.361

still plenty to go.
And I thought I'd had it rough getting to level 21, lol.
I'd recommend changing the oil right away, the traction out of corners declining holds you back until you're used to the full 892hp.

Showoff! 👍

Nice splits A7X.. you know, you don't have to beat me every week.

Redreevos - holding the flag for D2 this week. 👍 Nice time matey.

Thank you Vagabond!(Chris).. Although I think the only times I have the flag, I seem to be just a place holder for one of you other guys. It was fun while I had it this week. :)
