Still not broken in. Using a tune from the Honda Integra used at Fuji a while back. I think my tranny needs a few tweaks so I won't post my tune until that is sorted out.

If you've posted, and you find you have something to add before another member has posted, please just use the edit feature.

You made 3 posts that were all within one minute of each other. Edits made within 5 minutes do not even show the "Edited By" context at the bottom of the post.

Yeah sorry about that, My post took ages to send so I mashed the send button a bit.

Before I get started on this, could anyone do a massive favour and explain to me what has changed tuning wise since the start of GT5 for different patches? I haven't tuned anything since the start of the game (the first set of seasonal time trials) and all I remember for FF cars was putting the front all the way up and the rear all the way down for turn-in!

This method of tuning seems backwards though, have they updated this?

Yes the ride height glitch has been fixed. If you have a go with my setup it will give you an idea of where to start if you're doing your own. :)

Great splits Chris, our tunes really look alike.👍
Thanks Wes. 👍 Where you been?

Great sector 2 there Baron. 👍

Jerome - I'll post a sector 1 video later when I get a chance if you like. 👍

New splits:

25.823
21.581

Went a little wide in the final hairpin so a tenth to pick up there. Seen a couple of .7 1st sectors too so maybe about 0.15 to find overall. Great fun combo.

That'd be great buddy, thanks. I think the line is a little inside the rumble strips for the first turns. It's maddening to know that if I was still on a controller I could make the car do what I want :ouch: I know I'd be close to a 26 flat.

My first WRS time trial as I managed to qualify to Div 2 Bronze and I'm 2 seconds off the pace was getting times like div 5 guys (no disrespect by the way) and then I realised I didn't do any weight reductions and I'm 200kg heavier :)

Let's see how I do now.

By the way what is "break in" ?

New splits, after break in, 197 kW, 454 PP.

First corner really is all or nothing for me
Using the Vagabond-tune but with 'acceleration sensitivity' on 23 and BB 4-6

New splits. Finally got the car to handle how I want it to in the first set of corners. With all the miles I have on this track, hardly any are with a FF car. Also, very close in the tunnel, but checked it several times by many angles and looks clean to me. Almost a carbon copy of another questionable call that was ruled to be clean in another TT here. Done for now until after my Doctors visit. Peace.

Engine break in, when you buy a new car, it takes 300km's before the engine reaches it's full performance. After you have done 300km's you'll need to change the oil, and then tadaaa, some extra hp's

Thanks. I knew it as "Run in" not "Break in" :)

I've been working on the first sector too much and didn't really try to improve on the rest of the track. I'll try to get a better time in tomorrow.

Really struggling with T1 atm, have seen some .0's but haven't got in to the 25's yet, any tips? Splits with full power:

T1: 26.213
T2: 21.537

Well, living life on the edge inside that damn tunnel finally caught up with me. I had an overall improvement of 2'03 on my previous best until I checked the replay. Too close to call so I just considered it dirty. Damnit !!!!

25.998
21.609

I have a best t1 of .910 and I'm off about .05 in each of the other sectors, so still plenty to keep me busy.

Edit:

25.974
21.587

Time for bed now.

Great going Baron. 👍

Not had time to put a sector 1 vid together yet I'm afraid guys... I'll try and get to it later.

Another small step:

25.854
21.500

Lost that tenth again in the final hairpin so still looking for about 0.15... so far...

This TT is fun just to drive around without worrying about times! The WRS is going to be fun too!
