Had a couple of short stints this week but my first proper crack at it this morning.

T1: 26.979
T2: 32.801
T3: 40.677

(1'40.457)

Had another go at it last night and got a slightly faster fast lap, but the big improvement was on the slow lap where I was just a car length or two behind the ghost until I chickened out at the last chicane and stepped on the brakes too early! :) Still much much better than my last one.

T1: 27.130
T2: 33.074
T3: 40.547

Strangely I haven't been able to get close to my first posted T2, even when I was much faster through the first corner the ghost kept passing me. So still something to work on there!

Spent the last hour before the start of the F1 having what will likely be my last crack at the WRS for this combination. Managed to drop a good chunk of time but still feel I could take another good step forward if I had another couple of hours... 👍
Will see if I can find a little more time tomorrow after Uni. ;)

T1: 27.038
T2: 32.743
T3: 40.517

(1:40.298)

Xerxes. :)

I think I've lost that loven feelin, stick a fork in me. "Relese the Hounds" my rubberband is sacked out and I'm ready for something fast and high performance.

I am surprised how this combo turned out...it looked for most of the week as a low assistance event and look!
Nice combo

Submitted with following time.
27.402
33.015
41.354

(1:41.771)

nice job "Ak" I'm burnt out on Madrid and now it's Littles turn 👍

Maybe one last go tomorrow but I don't think it will matter or anything will change for me, I'm toast

My final times for the night. May give it one last run tomorrow before submitting as I know from my various splits that I can go at least .15 better than this lap... ;)

T1: 27.107
T2: 32.713
T3: 40.378

(1:40.198)

Good luck to all those still running! 👍

Xerxes. :)

Had a last run and improved some

T1 27.514
T2 33.233
T3 41.207

Not my fastest lap but it will have to do, I lost some time is some important corners (last corner of T2 and the cursed final chicane).

Well done, 👍 glad to see you didn't submit that lap from the picture you posted.

If not 100% sure its clean, throw it in the bin and do it again, this is what we like to see.

Phillip.

I'm in the same boat as Poolhaas - reviewed my first lap again with some more intensive photomode (same corner as Poolhaas) and I'm closer than he is - maybe an inch...

There is no datalogger available in this mode of racing unless you review directly after making the run. This makes the reliance on the visual more important. I couldn't show contact with photomode, but equally I'm a complete noob with that part of the game so I'm going to run again tonight.

Will resubmit my previous splits to correct the leaderboard.

T1: 27.061
T2: 32.970
T3: 40.606

Disappointed, but there you go. Will have another crack at it tonight. If I can do it once, I can do it againg...hopefully :nervous:

Had a hard time with this one but I'm pretty satisfied with my run.

Anyway, good luck everybody and see you next week.

There is some time left in the 2 lapper for me.

Current splits:

26.787
32.696
40.697

brakes 3/10 , ABS 10..

MadMax

HOLY T1 & T2 MadMax -- Nice to see the leaderboard holding almost 50 drivers again too, hopefully everybody submits thats up there.

Here's what I'm talking about...

My previous post said that I beleived the lap to be 100% clean. These frames are slightly later on the same corner and show the car closer to the barrier. I have not been able to create a frame where contact exists so far. Datalogger isn't available in replay theater. I don't detect a change in revs or vehicle speed, but it's hard to determine as the car is jumping over the curbs then anyway...

From what you're showing it looks clean. I guess it's whether someone who reviews it finds a frame that isn't clean. Again comes down to the lack of slow motion in PD replays. As always the safest option is to do the lap again, however I know where you're coming from since you would need to do 2 good laps again.

For me it's not so difficult since my second lap is terrible anyway. Don't be fooled by my current position on the leaderboard, once my second lap is revealed I will fall like a stone in a pond :)

Appreciate you weighing in Sid - I still believe that it's clean, but will try and get another run with a comparable overall time, even if the fast lap isn't so fast. If I don't manage it, then I'm going to submit with the lap shown in the pictures. Like I said, I still believe it's clean.

Carlos, if you cant find contact and didnt feel the wall driving I would call it clean, if I were you. I have personally never hit a wall without realizing it driving. The curbs make it harder, but on the few times I checked my laps this week all were clean. JMO -- EDIT : I discovered once i post a time from a computer keyboard I can edit that post with newer splits. So I see Im between 3rd and 15th (I hope) depending on 2nd laps. LOL

I also like to turn off the music in the replays, turn up the volume and run the laps in both bumper view and chase view. Just listen carefully if you can hear any scrapes/rubs or sparks from chase view. Most likely will be clean if none of those happen and no detectable drop in speed/revs. I know you're a clean racer and pretty sure it will be a clean lap. Like CSL said, you should be personally pretty sure if it's clean then submit it. Again, if you analyze those frames carefully enough and don't find any touches then it is most likely no-one else will as well, because it is most likely clean. If you're only like 80% sure though and think it 'might' have touched, then i'd do it again.

I had a similar close call in Monaco, but the incentive caused me to run a faster lap anyway. So you never know, it could be a blessing in disguise 👍

Here's what I'm talking about...

WOW Carlos! That is close! :D
I would submit it personally if it were my lap, as like others have said it is hard not to notice if you tag a wall, even lightly. 👍 I thought my current fast lap was cutting it fine, but I am well and truly safe by comparison! ;)

Last splits with this one, will be submitting with these. My quickest first lap I've run all week. Kind of made a mess out of the chicane on the second lap and lost a few tenths but still bettered my overall time.

T1: 27.050
T2: 32.720
T3: 40.107

Submitting with the times on the leaderboard...the bad part for me is that I kinda felt in love with this car that now I want a red Golf GTI!...shame that here in Colombia cars are so expensive (a new Golf GTI here is about 45.000 USD).
Good luck everyone!
