I've always found that tagging the wall on the chicane exit (I assume that's where the conjecture is) has lost me 2km/h or thereabouts. If that's the case on your lap Millross, I find your time even more impressive . I would be disappointed if you didn't submit (even if that meant I didn't get a division win - I know I'm making a big assumption here with still two days to run so no offence is intended to any other driver 👍)...

Given that I've always detected a loss of speed, I do restart as CLS has suggested. Have you gone to photomode Millross to determine if the 'tag' is real? Can you hear contact on your replay?

My submitted time has an associated 'slow' lap that is close on 3 occasions. I've ran the replay several times, detected no contact sound, and checked all 3 in photomode and am 100% confident that there is no contact anywhere on that lap or my fast lap.

I would be equally disappointed if w-g-e (Wes, I think) does not submit. It would be a crying shame for skill of that level to not get recognised or for that lap to not see the light of day for others to marvel at.

I encourage both of you to submit.

EDIT: CLS, nice splits man. And to think you were going to throw in the towel at the start of the week!

Point well taken if in fact his shows were done on the 1st lap

If you didn't look at your RPM for a drop in the DATA LOGGER you might get blind sided, I didn't notice if DATA LOGGER was available in replay theater mode given that this isn't a best lap replay.

Splits from yesterday:

27.036
32.581
40.789

My best T1 has been a .830
ABS3 brakes 3/10 , shifting up at 87/120/158 km/h - +/-2km/h
Using 3rd gear for the chicane , speed thru it 77-81 km/h

MadMax

Got this splits using Mad Max's setup exactly as he said...even though I couldn't go thru the chicane that fast (around 72-75 km/h).

T1: 27.079
T2: 32.872
T3: 40.450

Trying a few changes abs, brakes, got a little faster, Nothing touched, before or after start line.

T1: 27.808
T2: 33.319
T3: 41.866

New splits... I know I still left a few tenths out there.

T1: 27.682
T2: 33.279
T3: 41.455

(1'42.416)

Yeah it is - will take a look - thanks Lefty 👍

btw...why are you guys talking about hitting walls? I thought that was a big no-no in the WRS?

...before the start of the first timed lap.

Question seems to be, if the clocks not running, is it ok?

I didn't think I was going to be able to run this week. I found some "spare" time today and got in some good runs. I hope to get a few more laps before submission time as I really screwed up the final chicane on my slow lap.

T1: 27.114
T2: 32.841
T3: 40.191

(1'40.146)

Unless something changed since I raced here a few years back the answer will be a definitive no. Even if you're not caught it is against the spirit of WRS and wall contact is forbidden whether the clock is running or not.

Fahrvergnügen!!!

27.381
32.946
40.865

(1'41.192) 2nd lap was very un-Fahrvergnügen. 👎
This is probably all the time I have this week, but heck this hot hatch is fun!
Thanks Admins!

Damn Red, wicked T3 for some "spare" time 👍
Think i'm almost done for this event, had quite a few 1:40.3xx but my second lap is always a disaster. New splits, personal best 1st lap, but awful second lap and only 0.1 faster average :ouch:
Do I get some kind of prize for duplicate 1st lap times on 2 separate runs

27.016
32.883
40.364

Taking time out yesterday to wring the BMW's neck at the creek did me a world of good.
Think it's about time to get ready to watch monza.

I agree with you Strop. Walls are always a no-no, and a WRS race starts when the replay begins. 👍
@ millross: you've done it once, do it again. Enough of 2nd. :)
@ Carlos: run a little harder, and you just might win! :sly:

Go D3!!! :gtpflag:

Race On!!

Yeah that ghost likes to pull away from me at the end of every lap. I think the GTI was extra skinny through the chicane on that lap.

Sid, can we combine your T1 with my T3. Do we ever have a team week? Match up with a pal from the same division and combine sectors for the fastest lap.

I guess the battle will be between our slower laps this week.

OK, throwing in the towel, I just can't get any more speed. Last run.

T1: 27.524
T2: 32.919
T3: 41.941

Like Carlos said, I can't believe i was going to submit a 1'42 lap, glad I stuck in there, still don't like the track, but it's been rewarding shaving time, even though I didn't get to submit even my best lap. It woulda been awesome to put my bests (26.9 32.5 40.1) together, but its not going to happen. A 1:40.162 will have to do, wish lap 1 was quite a bit faster too.

Gonna come down to the 'slow' lap Chuk. I'm very happy with my current run, and I think the delta between the two laps is respectable, even if a pro wouldn't necessarily call it consistent. Turning my ghost off really helped here, as I had a few runs earlier in the week where the ghost just plain got in the way and distracted me!

Not going to get much if any running in tonight, between Mother's Day and the F1 race (10pm local time for me), but I'll give it another bash tomorrow and see if I can't improve the overall time a little more. I always seem to get twitchy at the second run through the chicane though...:nervous:

@CLS - certainly got your groove on now buddy 👍

Hmm. By the looks of things, most improvement still possible in the first hairpin, but I'm running out of patience.

T1: 27.378
T2: 33.104
T3: 40.743

That's not a bad idea actually, however it would just mean that the aliens in D1 would be MEGA quick. Perhaps a more fair option would be D1 pairs with D5 , D2 pairs with D4, and D3 can pair together? I would prefer that we paired our best laps instead though :sly:

There's a slow lap, and then there's my 2nd lap. 👎

Thanks for your comments re: the pre-lap walls. I'm just checking my replay and may have started a conversation topic for no good reason and wasted your time LOL :dunce:

I run very close, within perhaps 6 inches at times, but I can't see contact. Just making sure....

If I find a wall hit I will not be submitting it though as the majority of commenters have given their opinion that it's not in the spirit of the WRS and I can't argue with that. 👍

Edit: Submitted overall time. Watch out for rounding on that website, it doesn't do a good job at it. You get .099 for example when it should be .100

So, does anyone think there is a mirror touch here, if so I might have to have another go.

Since there where some isseus with my lap some weeks ago, it would be best to ask.

Bit difficult to tell from that angle, Poolhaas. Perhaps do an overhead shot? You're insanely close with the wheels and bodywork though!

Poolhaas... I am pretty sure from your "incident" in week 7, we learned that mirror/wall rendering doesn't constitute contact. I believe Hugo Boss was the admin that weighed in on that. But I think it is important that it is just a "rendering." If there was actual game contact, then it would be a dq. Game contact meaning contact that changed the direction or speed of the vehicle.

I know, big gray area. Best to always submit a lap that you are sure is clean. But, personally, I think a mirror rendering is still clean. In a wall/city course, there are a lot of apexes that are very close to walls.. but I think after running multiple laps, you get a good idea of when you are not clean.

This of course is just my opinion of how the rules have been applied. If there is a problem with your picture, I am sure an admin will let us know.

Nice lap.
Even though your still beating me I wish the leaderboard would show my fastest times not the very first ones I posted.
Still I'm very much looking forward to many leaderboard battles in the future.

There is no speed drop, sound or anything, I've been trying to get a better lap, the problem is I need 2 good laps.
