Run in now. I remember now why Monaco always is frustrating. Never a perfect lap.

Hate this car, despise this track, but I'm giving it a try anyway. Finally got a tune on the damn thing that agrees with me, so here we go. Probably not going to fair so well this week because I'm not going to be able to put my usual 2,000 miles in, (only at 427 miles right now) but that's the experiment for this week anyway...to see how I do without putting in so much time. And its going just like I suspected, the less time I put in, the worse my results are....which, to me, makes me less than a D3 Gold driver. I'm going to give it my best shot while keeping my time/miles limited, but I can already see how its going to turn out. Unless I get lucky or happen upon a magic lap, I doubt I'll even make the podium. Fact is, my skill level is nowhere near a D3 and unless I run the piss out of these TT's, I can't even keep up with my division and that's not how it should be, which was my argument last week.

New splits:

The car now feels more controllable drivable thanks to Chris 👍

You need to relax a bit, sometimes stress can hinder your performance so if your not hitting your targets take a break and come back later and some better splits come. Now about you not being D3 gold, I think you wouldn't be there if you didn't have the speed, and if you were at the top of D3 after a few minutes then it means you should really be in D2. You have to remember that as you progress and gain speed, so too do other people in your Div, so the competition gets tougher and tougher so you might have to put in more laps to beat others. Another thing you should take into account is the track and car combo, sometimes you will get one that doesn't suit you at all, bogey track :) so you just have to take the week and learn as much as possible from these bogey tracks so that next time your a bit more comfortable there. So don't stress about it too much and just enjoy yourself, your sector 1 is pretty good you just need to fix sector 2 a bit and you'll be good :)

First go fully broken in. Using Vagabond's tune but not feeling comfortable with it. Particularly in sector 1.

You know what, you're probably right. Maybe I do just need to relax a bit and stop stressing so much about my performance. Its just that I put high expectations upon myself and when I don't meet those expectations, I tend to get frustrated with myself. I'm a pretty high-keyed person as it is, (medication is supposed to help that ) so it doesn't take much to get frustrated as it is. Thanks for taking the time to respond with your kind words of wisdom. 👍 Appreciate it my friend.

Improved .3 at the line. This is a hard track to run consistently good laps. One little mistake and the lap can be one second slower than my ghost.

53.230

I plan to have another crack at ittonight or tomorrow, maybe use of the hambrake will get me closer to the front times.

I Reckon without the hambrake I have another .3 hopefully I can gain more as I'm determined to get top 3 in Div 2.

Thanks for the tune, Chris.

Finally, some (slight) improvement.

Bloody hopeless last sector - totally botched the swimming pool exit. One more go later to try and tidy that up....

I've only run about 15 laps with a car not broken in. Bob's currently taking care of that. Hope I can give this another go this afternoon, or my handicap will be a look a bit LARGE.

Always a pleasure to be within a few tenths of you, brother. 👍

Well old mate, I’m a bit disappointed this week. Didn’t get any running this weekend so got up a little earlier this morning to try and string a good lap together and extend my paltry 138 miles of running with the Mazda. Was looking for about 0.5s over the lap due to a couple of significant errors. And at about 6:30 this morning I ran a lap that went through T2 at 1:26.3 and knocked over 4 tenths off my previous full lap time – very happy until I reviewed the replay and saw that I’d clipped the wall coming out of Casino Square – swear I didn’t feel a thing when I ran the lap but there you go. As a result I’m submitting with the posted splits and a mediocre T3. Had a lot of fun running the combo, but I’m mighty glad my HC is protected

In that case I'll submit my initial unbroken-in no-handbrake lap too. :P

Had no time for any further runs on it, due to the Spa GT3 race that we did on Sunday.

Same thing happen to me, I didn't feel a thing, I checked and no contact but there was a sound like I hit something, I think theres an invisible wall at that exit.

Edit: It looks like Chris had a bit of a typo 37 is a bit too much time in T1

Nice splits Chris! 👍 very good t1!

Thanks Mike. How about this one...

PB in sector 3 for a 1 tenth gain at the line. Looking for 0.3 on the lap but I'll be happy with another 2 tenths (or even another 1 tenth to be honest :sly:)

Thanks for posting your tune Chris! I will give this one more go with your tune

Al

Man... life's rough... just beat my ghost, but on reviewing my replay, there's an unmistakable thud on the left side as I go through the very last turn, even though the car seems to stay clear of the barrier... another invisible wall victim! :ouch:

EDIT:

33.136
54.099

About 0.1 s at the line. Can't believe how much time I'm still leaving on the track. It's almost impossible for me to get three decent sectors on the same lap....

Ok, here's another 1/4 s at the line...

33.040
53.927

I think I'm done, submitting...

Submitted with splits on the board, can't catch myself consistently enough to beat my ghost, leaving about 2 tenths out there. the swimming pool section isn't very easy :(

Submitted with my current splits. Tried to get a last run in this afternoon, but after two laps I had two kids under 5 "helping" me. I didn't hit my goal for this week, which is a bummer, but there will be endless improvements to be found next week.

Submitting with these splits.

That's my best T1 but a little off on T2. Not sure how good the final sector will be. Used Chris' tune with the toe in and camber rolled back. Good luck to all who are still driving.

Thanks for the tune Chris! The car finally turns!!!! I had splits that were 2/10ths faster but I had a blazing T3! I tried but couldn't find the last few 10ths. I am happy with the final days production and here are my final splits for TT #92 in a row!!!!
