Put in 651 miles which more than proves my point. I don't belong in D3 Gold. If other D3ers can put in the same amount of time or less, and come out with much better finishes, that has to tell you something. I'm just not that good.

Note that you're not the only one struggling. I've stopped my quest for speed this week and submitted with the splits on the board. Looking ahead to next week.

Mitch, if it can somewhat help, when i started running in wrs, i was already D1 gold with the qualifier, and at my first few try running an event i couldnt even follow the pace of D2 bronze... :)

needed some time to adapt, and i noticed sone combo i just couldnt be competitive for my handicap. i have worked on my weakness and its better now but still room for improvement, always.

everyone have their strong area and weakness :)
if i look at your results you belong right there it may require more time to improve, but you can do it. :)

This was not an easy combo. Under powered, understeery, feels like there are marbles under the tires and at Monaco! I have put many, many, many kilometers on this track so that helped me. My first sitting with this combo was 3 seconds slower than my final result. I thought I could never get this thing to go any faster. This was definitely a slow down to get faster combo. When I struggle with a combo I think about what I am missing and where my weakness is and try to compensate. Do I get frustrated? YES! I walk away and come back after a few minutes or just put it away for a day or two.

I see that you may feel that you don't belong (D3G) with this particular combo, that's only natural if you are not doing well. I enjoy your competition and have chased your splits on many occasions. Keep on pushing, it will get better!!!!

Thanks guys for your kind words and wisdom. I'm just really, really frustrated right now, that's all. Just a little venting above I guess. I'll just have to keep pressing on I guess. I just don't like the idea that it takes me 2,000 miles or so to achieve what others do in my division in half that time. That really bothers me.

I have run 1800km on this one, spent a good amount chasing the last few tenths though.

Well done everyone, not an easy week it rrequired a lot of smoothness and a good flow

I'm really properly bummed. I ran a 1'59.824 about 5 minutes before the deadline and submitted it as Week 126 :banghead:. That would probably have given me a good bit better handicap than the lap that will count. That's a whole 1.5 seconds :grumpy:. My own dumb fault for typing it wrong :dunce:.

(Just realized I discussed lap time in this thread which is a no-no, though I did it after the results posted... Hope that's okay).

May be the admin can fix that for you if the time was sent in time ?

Mitch like you, I have had thoughts that I do not belong in Div 2 for a while. I usually finish dead last among D2 drivers. The thing is I normailly finish ahead of most of the D3 drivers, so I guess I am ranked where I ought to be. Do I sometimes wish I were in D3, yes, as it would be fun to finish on the podium. I think I am actually becoming more competitive in D2 so I guess I am improving (finished ahead of some D2 drivers this week :)).

I did. They are going to see what can be done. If they can't do anything it's not big deal. It was my own fault, not theirs. I think it's just cool that they are even considering what can be done. We our lucky to have admins here that bend over backwards to make things as easy on the participants as possible :gtpflag::cheers:.
