Nice one Matthew. 👍 You might get me anyway mate, I might have to submit with what I have... :nervous: Had a short session earlier and my wheel has developed an intermittent gear shift fault. Sometimes no shift, sometimes double shift. I'm going to dig the old G25 out of the cupboard and see what I can do with it but not hoping for much given its state of wear and tear. :indiff:

On the plus side, its my birthday in just over two weeks... :sly:
 
After 40 laps here are my first splits, with about 1/3 of them being ruined on turn 1. As I said in the beginning of the thread, I like the course selection as I never really tried to figure out the best way around and usually muddled my way through turn 1. The more laps I run the better I am liking this combo. With a certain comfort level now, maybe I can try and push things a bit and see where I end up.

Sorry to hear about that Chris. You'd be relieved to hear that I'm nearing my limit; my perfect lap would only be about 0.25 quicker.

Out of interest, I've done 340 miles so far.

One question. After I ran this lap I went to see if I was at full power yet and found that I had 518hp. Upon closer inspection I found that my power limiter was at 97.9%, all other settings are stock. Will that dq that lap?

Hopefully it won't matter by the end of the week, but you never know. As it is, there's about .150 left right now.
 
Should be fine Baron. We didn't specifically say it can't be used, and you can get into a Tuning Prohibited lounge like that.

But I personally have seen slightly faster laptimes with a little power limiter on in certain cars, just due to it being a little easier to drive.
Could also be placebo. :D
 
Thanks Lucas, glad my dumb mistake didn't cost me.

I'm hoping 12 more hp will gain me a bit in t3 and the final straight.
 
Had another run but didn't see any improvement in overall lap time, mainly because it's too damn hot (both for me and my wheel). :ill:

Did see a couple more .8 S1s and a couple of .6 S2s along with another .2 to find in the bus-stop. So .3-4 to find. 👍

still a tenth in T1 and maybe a tenth or 2 through the bus stop, but not much more.

Great choice of car btw 👍 its so easy to drive, instantly on the pace with the top guys and chasing those ever elusive last tenths in the first session! Does kind of disappoint me how easy this car is to drive, was expecting something a bit tail happy but its solid!

scratch that, the shared car has modified settings, didn't think it was possible to edit settings on a shared car (wouldn't let me on the last car I borrowed) so didn't bother to check! Good job I did though, so beware anyone else using the shared car from 3D3. Going to re-run with them at stock in a sec

I'm having problems with the west horseshoe. I lift off a tad for the kink, then use the road on the left as a brake marker. About 1/4 in, I brake. I have no idea what line to take or where to get on the throttle at. I keep getting mixed results with the lines and its frustrating me. I'm 5 tenths off my goal for a lap and it lies in t1 & 2, but I've seen a low .7 for t1. Just need the 2-3 tenths from t2 to be satisfied.

Worse splits 1 -3 but overall better by 3 tenths. Finally started to figure out the bus stop, and what will red flag a lap.

Had a couple 5's in t1, and some low 7's at t3 but this lap has a nice bus stop on it.

OK, the correct car is on share now from GTP_3D3Racing. I borrowed it on my account and verified settings are at stock. But I *could* change settings on the borrowed car, so in theory you could have made yours stock.
 
Ok, I'm starting to get half decent laps, now... but rarely two in a row! Very fun combo, though!

By the way, if you'd stay low on the banking rather than drifting high you'd crack .4s in S3 easily (not that I really want to help you seeing as you're beating me :lol:). ;)
