👍

If you put 2 wheels into the grass on the outside and turn in, its possible to take the double right after T1 completely flat.
I haven't been able to go completely flat, but I managed to get a ghost going through that turn with a very slight lift and 216 kph at the slowest point. The next lap I had almost exactly the same T1, lifted slightly more down to 214 but then started to close the gap and pass during the "straight" because I could straighten the wheels and accelerate a bit earlier. I suppose if you manage a better exit than I did that wouldn't happen but I stopped obsessing about going 215 or faster after that lap :)

--- Looks like this holiday weekend is going to be a fun one; wish we were rolling on the SS tires though.

Nice to see you here. 👍

The race tires were my call. Makes it easier on the lower divisions, and tougher on the upper ones. Not a bad thing, if you ask me. ;)

I have some new ones. Really on the ragged edge overall here. I could probably pick up some by driving all out in some spots that I'm trying not to crash in, but for the whole lap?

I have to give that a try if I get another run at this! I had been doing the reverse, flat or slight lift in and run two wheels onto the grass on exit! ;)
But if you ran too wide it got very messy! :D ...Restart!
Cheers for the tip, will keep it in mind! 👍

New this was by far my best lap. Relaxed on the final stright to get ready for the last few corners and forgot to change into sixth :dunce:. Hit the rev limiter and lost over a second on what my lap could have been. Ended up with my fastest lap time so at least thats something.

I had done some laps early in the week but all dirty, then managed to cut my foot quite badly:ouch:, finally healed up just enough to start doing laps yesterday, today I actually finished a lap cleanly :) A little bit painful but still awesome fun 👍

Did you cut your foot on your pedals, or doing something else? ;)

Good thing the back straight is there to let you catch your breath!
I was fully panting.

Still have some investigation on a couple possible dirty corners :nervous:
Initial 30min replay inspection looks good though!

Back to the PS3! :)

Improved another .4 at the line.

Funny thing is, my final lap time improves at the same rate as my theoretical best, I can still see another 1 - 1.5 seconds. Is it simply not possible to nail the perfect lap? I wonder how close you can get... Surely to be within .5 - .8 would be a decent goal?

Right, I am done with this. Final splits improved about .9 to T9 and 1.4 at the line. This is within a second of what I think is possible for me, and I don't have the time or patience for how long it will take to find it.

Hello :)

Im new to this forum, and the reason i registered is because i like the concept, and i would love to be part of a competition =)

But i have a question:

*The event MUST be run using your GTP_Tag Account

Do i have to make a new account ? or is my account tagged since i registered here ?
And how do you get the results right from participants ?

thanks =)

Kristian

Nice splits there Nizzy 👍

After two hours, just one word - "hell" :banghead:
That's a very polite word for it. :sly:

Is it simply not possible to nail the perfect lap?
Not from my perspective (but you're an alien ;)) - like you, every time I set a quicker lap, I find I've lost time on a few sectors but gone quicker in others. My current fastest lap was up 0.8 on the lap but I was 0.7 slower through the last sectors after T9 so I didn't bin it. The glory will go to the brave this week I think...

This is all I've got for this week, made some mistakes but my better lap ended up in the wall after the long straight :ouch:.

T1 44.851
T2 34.223
T3 29.130
T4 51.066
T5 38.977

T8 35.171
T9 31.792

Nice photo Vagabond, here are my couple of pics.

Nice splits there Nizzy 👍

Thanks. Have put alot more hours in this week and it is showing. Still can't believe I missed a gear on the long straight. If I submit this lap I'm expecting to drop a few places but hopefully not too many. Will certainly be having another try before deadline.

I just sat down and crushed my OT by 4+ and my shows by 1.6+, isn't it amazing how you can drive for hours and get little results and then just sit down and give her another try and then do on your first attempt what you weren't able to pull off in the previous 5 hrs. I just love this track, it's like a drug

T1: 44.480
T2: 34.170
T3: 29.500
T4: 51.477
T5: 39.031
T6: 28.017
T7: 49.640
T8: 34.661
T9: 30.000

Another 2+ off the shows and I'm on the podum, maybe :)

I know I'm ready for another combo and another week closer to the next off roader

I must be still in the hours & hours with no results stage! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I've thrown away laps 5 secs up on my current clean best!

Taking a timeout now... I'll head back to Hell soon for my next fix!

Edit: :banghead: continues! Maybe I'll get one last hour to try to tie it all together... But in case I don't, I submitted OTs.

Updated splits on pg 15 - 5:34.200. Miserable t1-3 though. Still see 1.5 if I get lucky.

Achived my goal and I'm very happy with achived but still not satisfied completely as I had a big mistake in sector3 and T7-T9 is still to slow....will have one last go tomorrow probably....

Hey guys, I just wanted to check before I submit; this corner exit out of bergwerk should be clean right?

NrburgringNordschleife.jpg

It's right at the end of the left-side curb and I think I managed to time it so the rear tyre is just past the last stone. The car is cutting in to the track at that point so the next closest frame I can manage to pause at, the tyre covers the line. I tried pointing the camera in the direction of travel but this is my first ever gt5 photo so I don't know if it worked :)

My next question is should I update my leadboard splits if my submission has slower T9 but faster at the line?

That'd be a very good goal imo. Small session this morning, but not enough time to build up rhythm. Consistently .2 up at T2, so going to work on it in the morning. I want to get rid of that bad sector 8. Though I did reach a time I didn't think I could at the beginning of the week, so if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, I know I have some sectors in my lap that i will struggle to repeat.

Yanaran - That's clean, all hard surface is good to use this week. So just two wheels off the grass and any walls, etc.

Also, your splits, for fairplay, should really be from your best lap. But there's no obligation with it.
