Racing Hard's you little devil you  Can't wait to try this out Kev, looks right up my alley 👍

Jerome

What Jerome said. My sort of event, ran out of time on the Challenger, 20 mins or so just isn't enough. I need to put in time each day to be able to improve, I've noticed if I miss a couple of days I just lose too much. Always liked Tokyo, from that fast right-left at the back of the track to the final corner, just so fast and smooth.

I'm going to make a request. For any Tuning Forum regulars, you already know about this thread I've created: Every GTPlanet tune that exists is in this thread

Over the last 2 weeks, I've gone back and added in every tune I could find from the 2011 WRS event archives. I'm sure there are gunna be more tunes each weeks the cars are allowed to be tuned, but it's extremely difficult for me to keep up with the WRS threads, as they easily creep into 20 some odd pages. For the people who are kind enough to share their suspension settings, I'd like to request that you go that 1 extra step, and send me a PM with the link to your post containing said tune. This way I can easily update the thread and all tunes can be easily accessed, without scouring every page of the thread.

Thanks,
Adrenaline

P.S. For those interested, the above link currently has 10 GT500 NSX tunes.
Wouldn't it be easier for us to just send the tune in a pm, copying and pasting?

Roughly how long does it take to get max HP? in miles or laps of this track.
186, or 300km, I think. About 540hp, roughly.

T1: 13.862
T2: 39.990

Is this car unusually wide or is it just me? I'll be driving along on a good lap, lining up for the next turn and I get sucked into the wall when I thought I was well clear...

A few more laps.

T1: 13.701
T2: 39.870
City tracks :)

Gave my self a rest from building sand castles at Laguna Seca and gave this one a quick blast... hahaha :P, sweet!

Had no time to do any fiddling with setup yet save for top speed 194mph, Camber 1.6/0.7, Max downforce.

13.648
39.930

I'll give it a good shake-down tomorrow for setup and see what I can shave off that. Even with stock settings there's a good few tenths to be had there, particularly in sector 2.

Nice opening splits there Phillip. 👍 Chasing you down tomorrow matey. :)

Back to my sandpit now. Cheers Kev, great combos both of 'em. 👍

 Mr Holland has a bigger, better sand castle than all of us, he's king of the castle :D

I will be having a run at this one in the next day or so :)

Indeed... his T2 is just obscene. :scared:

Didn't go back to Laguna - switched the screen over and the NSX was waiting for me. Rude not to have another few laps...

13.583
39.801

Sorry Phillip... Now wait for someone to cut me back down to size. Its going to be another risky week about barrier-related intimacy. :nervous:

:P

First go in my fresh new car, in original condition (no tuning, aero default, ...)

14.221
41.525

Is it me or is this car different than the ARTA NSX? I didn't spin out once in this car where in the ARTA even on softs it was difficult to get out of a corner decently.
Maybe I'm just being too careful with this one :)

Reflecting back to the GT4 days, the same models of JGTC cars were different from one another. Most of it has to do with the default suspension setups, but even with that in mind, different cars suit different driving styles.

Maybe it is also because it's been a long while ago driving the ARTA, I've learned alot since I've started competing here. Throttle control being one of the things.

Had time for 5 laps but that's it.... crashed in 3 of them! :(

This one is awesome, I love the SuperGT NSXs and since I'm a massive street circuit fan I love racing round here in it.

Made a relatively slow start:

13.881
40.655

I maxed the downforce but that was it, no setup applied at all (yet) - I bought the engine upgrade and rigidity improvement though.

TCS 1 seems necessary with the DS3 at the moment, though I might try to get that down to being off when I get my fingers working nicely with a good setup ;)

Wouldn't it be easier for us to just send the tune in a pm, copying and pasting?

No, because I can't link people to my PM box.
So then, I'd have to go find the post with your tune to get the link, which would defeat the purpose.

If so, I recommend a longer 3rd gear, I don't know for sure yet, but it might be possible to tune this to "plant and go", as I call it. :)

Threw an undoubtedly useless tune and tried to break this in tonight. Good fun.

13.709
39.582

First clean laps gave:

13.825
41.392

Used the RKM tune from Adrenaline's list but maxed the downforce. It all fell into place when I realised I didn't need 2nd gear.

I think he meant, send you the tune in PM, you then copy from PM and put into your thread. Sounds pretty simple to me.

I couldn't bare to leave it as I did so I've foregone the sleep that I really need and raced a bit....until my eyes hurt (now)

Went a bit quicker, but I've not managed a nice first turn yet and on this lap I made a bit of a mess of the long-right hander in the middle of the lap, but got some great exits on the other corners and ended up with the best lap so far.

13.879
39.898

This car certainly feels like a wide-boy.... lots of wall taps and restarts.

511 BHP at the moment and I've used the RKM tune and lengthened the gears a little bit, but I might actually shorten them and eradicate 2nd gear.

You oil change'd it? Should be 528 with NA Stage 3 and an Oil.

Yep, no point in using 2nd here, it makes the car much less stable. The rear in particular feels a bit wide, but the massive kerbs here don't help. Stock grip is very good imo, with a decent tune it, I reckon the fast guys will be running mid 52's at T2. Just love that right-left in this car, so fast.

First splits.

T1: 13.797
T2: 40.259

Really loving this combo so much that I was thinking of cancelling my long weekend to Silverstone for the Motogp.. Going from Wednesday till Monday, that should give plenty of time for a few beers. Will probably submit my time on Wednesday before I leave but there is a chance I will get a final shot on the Monday evening.

Just realised I've spent 1 million for two days racing. After this first run it does feel worth it though. This track and car are great fun.

💡 :)

The answer is still no. Have a look at the thread guys.
Do you know how unrealistic it would be, to keep a thread that had every tune copy/pasted in it's entirety in a single post? Not to mention how absolutely un-navigational it would be, on top of the fact that I'd never be able to keep up with people's adjustments and additions over time.

Sadly I'll be sitting this one out as well, bleh. I was attacked by a large dog and it did quite a bit of damage to my right hand, so I won't be able to use it this week. Good luck D2!

Sorry for the double post, fetchbot doesn't post my splits if I post anything else with them. :grumpy:

I thought it was a joke at first, so I'll admit I laughed, but wow, that sucks, hopefully a bear eats the dog.

Haha no worries, true it would be quite an interesting excuse to get out of something (which I have used that exact excuse actually before)...but yeah it is actually true.

My dog ate my homework hand.
