"First" splits, after 40 laps or so.

Using DS3 controller, sensitivity 3, ABS 3, BB 4/7.

Just like Tokyo, I hate turn 1. :dunce: The rest of it, there's a cool feeling when you get the exits "just right", in this combo.
 
Can't believe it's Thursday already and I'm only just getting some laps in. First 20 minutes have provided much entertainment - I vote all cars should sound like this!! Splits so far...

Went into Parabolica too hot (and sideways) which compromised my exit, and was cautious elsewhere just to get a clean lap in. Hope to get some more laps in later but I'm not sure what my chances are of catching Matt this week!

Don't mean to sound like a complete idiot or anything but as its my first event and little unsure thought I better ask to be on the safe side ^^. Is it only T1 and T2 we focus for and then just maintain a clean lap to the end or is it based of the final overall lap times?

Once again sorry for the little idiotic question as it would be to most people ^^.

I also have a T500, and the board knows which controller I use. I had a G27 before, and a G25 before the G27, so maybe the board still recognizes my controller from those wheels?

It should be recognized now (when you post some new splits).

Hey Tidgney, welcome to the WRS 👍

The splits you post can vary each week depending on track, obviously some tracks will have more sectors than others. Kev (EDK) or whoever puts up the weeks time trial will always state in the rules what split times you are able to post and let you know whats allowed to be discussed in the thread. You can find all the info you need on page 1 of the OP, hope this helps:tup:



To answer your question for this week T1 and T2 times only

You have until midnight monday to submit a final time, once happy with your time and you have checked it to make sure it's clean you send a PM to fetchbot with just your final time which should look something like this

Time: 1'10.xxx (example)

I read your question different to Plato - overall lap time is King. At the end of the week it is the overall lap time that determines the result. However, in the interests of suspense if nothing else, you can post you T1 and T2 splits for your best lap so others can see how we all relate.

I, like most others, will post slower splits if they lead to a faster lap overall, again in the interest of suspense and transparency.

If you already had this understanding then great, but i wanted to make sure you understood that the overall lap time is the key to the result (but should never be posted in a thread) and that the T1 and T2 splits are just to track progress until the results and submitted and announced.

Hope that clears up any confusion that may, or may not, have existed :cheers:
 
Cheers Carlos ye thats what I did think only T1 and T2 then a cruise to the line, thats no problem then I'll just keep pushing to the limit throughout the lap! :)!

Well, my G27 seems to have fixed itself. Though I remain pessimistic that the issue has gone. Anyway, just done those Time Trial millions for next week and going to run this tomorrow.
 
New splits after my delicious dinner.

T1: 31.234
T2: 37.548

Still some work to be done in T2 and T3.
 
I'm hoping I can turn some laps Friday after the in-laws take off. I don't know Monza very well so it will probably be a slow time, but to get anything on the board will be nice.

Speaking for myself obviously... I'm taking a week or two off WRS - I've done every week save 4 and 12 since the start (for GT5) and I'm a bit frazzled. On an average week I spend between 5 and 15 hours and:
a) my Missus is very patient but I don't want to push my luck
b) its that time of year when "things" need doing (painting, white washing, gardening, BBQs...)
c) my G25 pedals are about done and I'm waiting for my Clubsports to arrive :P
 
Nice job, Rutter, that's the first splits I've seen this week that I have no hope of catching.:bowdown: The best splits that I have seen are 31.3xx and 37.8xx, if I can complete a clean run with those I'll be happy.:)
 
I've been thinking about a week off myself, it's just so tempting with an easier shot at a high finish...
 
What kind of speeds should I be taking the first chicane? Or where to brake, I think I start just after the first marker. I'm going through it so slow and loosing a lot of time.

Also are the brakes made out of bread?

I brake spot on the 200 marker.
Are they made out of bread? maybe, if you leave it out for a few months :dopey:
 
I find this so difficult to get a clean lap in. Cutting the corners is so easy. Best split currently...

But I've seen lots of 31.7xx T1s that have gone off at Lesmo or Ascari and there's time to gain in T3 too. Hopefully I'll have time before the deadline to improve.

Thanks Jon! Yep, he and I are back to our comfortable hundredth apart right now. You look to be within striking distance of Matt too. 👍

Can't wait to get some laps in with the wheel though.
Probably will on Sunday night, after a long hard day of waiting for fish to bite!
(FDF = Father's Day Fishing).
 
Just had a first go tonight for 25 laps with stock BB and got splits of:

T1: 31.416
T2: 38.031

Will give it a lot longer tomorrow and have a good crack at it :), can definitely see the improvements :).

I don't know about that - Matt's had a few days head start, and he seems to have his mojo well and truly humming around here. That said, it's a V10 Lambo around Monza - I'll turn as many laps as I can fit in to try and catch him :) Hopefully Chuk will be back soon as well 👍

Happy Father's Day for Sunday - it doesn't happen here until September...
