His words imply it was a quick session, his times suggest a long session, idk.
EDIT:...........

The posting of settings is encouraged, but it's certainly not mandatory. We respect anyone wishing not to post settings, so please do not publicly ask someone to post their settings, they will if they want to.
It is however expected for splits to be posted if you're taking part.

Explanation of above would be split-sandbagging? People wouldn't do this on purpose, surely...or shirley!!! :indiff:

I'm not making accusations, Rutter is fast, and obviously faster than me. I'm just amazed if he did that in one session is all.
His splits were posted with two days left.

T1: 26.767
T2: 20.492

I have a feeling my finish is rubbish in comparison, as I haven't improved it at all from my last post. Time to wait and see. :D

I'm not at all surprised by Rutter's splits, if you've looked at his last two weeks he's definitely d1 silver material. His Monza lap last week was magic. :)

That's what I was saying....people wouldn't do this on purpose, surely! Sometimes I'm busy all week as I'm sure others are as well and don't get a chance to run till the weekend before deadline, whatever.

I don't think he, nor anyone else, would do that. Especially an alien like Rutter! :)

I do not see a problem at all, it is anyone's choice to join the game whenever. In fact I should rather have used these :bowdown::bowdown: - 'cause those are amazing splits.

EDIT - latest splits:

26.991
20.577

Still a bit from my goal, hope to find some time tomorrow.

Meh... can't drive at all today. Running up to the deadline tomorrow again.

Good luck all.

Nice T2 Brinkley 👍

I ran a couple of laps this morning and saw a better split to T2, but crashed :ouch: 200m down the road! I found it difficult as well, as it was the first laps I've run in daylight hours and I found it very hard to see where the damn road went!!!

I had a brief run last night before the GP and went quicker in T1 and T3, but slower in T2 for a net gain of 0.05 at the line. I still have 0.25 in the lap based on individual sectors so I'll go looking for those tonight hopefully, with a target of a sub-48 second T2. For now then...

27.131
21.157

Got first session in on Friday, and got:

T1: 28.131
T2: 21.666

I rather thought I'd get another decent run at it over the weekend. Unless I get time and crack it tonight, I was wrong ;-)

Many thanks to those who do share setups and advice. The tuning-included weeks are pretty daunting for the time-poor.

On another note, one of the reasons I cling to AT is having a hard time quickly setting up sound (ta much, Sony, for your bluetooth "support") - I usually can't play with any reasonable volume. After a brief session last night, I can see (hear?) I'm going to have to set it up more often, at least to review laps - and I'm now a little worried about my that-has-to-be-clean lap, too.

I currently work with both analog sticks - I've tried L2/R2, and have them set up for those times where I want to try simultaneous modulation, but find them difficult for long sessions. I can't find room for RA and Left/Right/Back, but that would be OK - but unless I can get used to, say X and O as gears (I like L1/R1), I'm still stuck, since the Looks pretty much have to be on L1/R1 for me to actually hold turns and use them online.

What do you guys use?

I started this combo yesterday as I was bored after the F1. I ran for two and half hours. As for setup i must thank CSLACR and Vagabond for the gearing and setup 👍

My overall lap time wasn't that great as I mucked T3 up. Can I repeat T1 and T2? It'll be tough.

No explanation needed. 👍
With the ability to get those splits, I don't know how bad your T3 can possibly be though.

The story of my 4hrs of running over the weekend.

I have one lap which I'm not too happy submitting because I run far too close to the gutter on on the left of the final chicane (where the hedge jumps out and gets you). Managed to run two identical laps .1 slower than that though. Will get an hour or so tonight to try this setup of Chris' that everyone is raving about (don't worry mate, I don't think I will be passing you). I have Millross in my sights though :sly:

I tried Chris' set-up and couldn't get on with it in it's entirety. I ran it for 15 laps just to make sure it wasn't a tyre temp thing, but ended up softening the car a little to suit my skill.

Note that I place no fault at the set-up, just my lack of ability to extract the time from it, as clearly it's reaping rewards further up the leaderboard

For info, I kept the ride height and the camber, and went back to my spring and damper settings.

Seeing I was up early I give this another go before work. T1 and T2 were slower but much better T3.

26.598
20.224

Seen a .4 with a .8 T2 but proceeded to throw it into the wall at last corner. So i got up and left for work :)

One and only entry for the week
27.281
21.174
Managed a few laps to set up on Friday, today I had a good couple hours to put a lap in. Good fun, wish I had a bit more time with this one.
Time submitted
 all

Welcome back Peter mate... You sure you got those splits right?

No they don't, so here is some to submit with (watches for fat fingers on the keyboard).

27.439
20.801

Here is my attempt at a tune for the above :dopey:

Suspension
0 , -9
15.2 , 10.7
9 , 5
9 , 5
7 , 3

Camber 2.3/1.2
Toe 0.00/+0.77
LSD 10/11/15
BB 6/4

Let the laughter begin

Had half an hour on Chris' setup - it treated me well.
Thanks to all who posted setups for clueless people like me to use 👍
T1: 27.467
T2: 20.826

Going to have two hours tonight to try and catch up with you guys.
This weekend by the pool was great but it made me itchy not to been able to give this a serious effort because on the only session i made had a lot of fun.
As i don´t have time for more, think i will try CLS gear and chris tune :)

Nice splits Peter - back at you...

27.039
20.774

Ran again and threw away a mid 26.8xx and was about to submit when I ran another couple of laps and found my best T2 and T3 of the week :)

27.121
20.641

 submitting now...probably :sly:

Hi there!

I also use the analogue sticks for steering and brake/gas and R1/L1 for gear change. I mapped RA Menu to L3 and the d-pad to navigating the RA menu. It works fine as I can bring the menu up on the straights. I use R3 to toggle the ghost, L2 for handbrake, R2 for rear view and triangle for reverse. Don't use the other buttons.

Cheers
S

I finally got around to running this properly today, I did do about 80 miles one day without a tune before today's session. I am submitting with the following splits.:)

27.006
20.637

I hope I get more time to run this before the deadline. I tried Vagabond's tune last night and I was just killing my ghost but couldn't get a clean quick one. If not I've submitted my previous best and will have to hope for a strong T3 to compete with the rest of D4 :)

Haven't run since Thursday morning and I could get into the .6's at T1 but nowhere near the low .5's I was getting before Thursday. Especially when you're pedals (both of them!) magically start flickering from Saturday onwards. I also tried Vagabond's tune but didn't really like it so I kept my very advanced half stock tune. :dopey: Looks like I left it a bit too late anyway. I'm submitting with my current splits, and grats to Rutter on the most probable win unless CT pulls something out the bag! :P

Spent 2hrs last night on this combo, which is turning out much more fun than I'd imagined.
Started hitting the hang when racing against my fastest ghost, so I stopped loading that ghost.
Only got one lap better than my current splits, but it's just too questionable, so I just submitted with the current splits.

Good luck, everybody! 👍

PS Thanks again to all who shared tuning info, especially Chris!

I would like to give it a last go but it's way too hot outside

My setup seems quite popular... :) Its not going to suit everyone of course. Like most of my setups for race cars it works best if you just thrash it mercilessly.

I'm pretty much stuck at the same splits with minimal progress. I'm pretty sure I can squeeze another 0.2 or 0.3 out of the lap but as usual, sewing it together is proving "difficult"... Seen some great 1st and 2nd sector times seperately but the barriers then leap out and smack my car when it passes.

26.739
20.492

Up 0.05 at the line - submitting this as a banker lap and chasing to the deadline after dinner.
