T1: 28.145
T2: 21.020

only had a few minutes this afternoon, but I'm pretty sure I can get into the 48's by monday. I can't seem to get a final setup though...... still tweaking here and there, I need to leave it alone and drive it for more than 10 laps.....

HOLY FREAKING WOW  I Tried Chris's setup (Vagabond)

26.778
20.280

Incredible setup man, just awesome, I immediately ran within .050 of my best, and from there well, my previous best is now 7th on my list, and that doesn't count the better laps followed by even better ones.
:bowdown::bowdown:

I have the house to myself all night, I gotta go give this yet another run, and see if I can do better.

EDIT: I used my gears, and Chris's suspension and LSD.

Exactly, the combo for me was 👍, of course not like the split like yours.

I am never posting my setup again.

Ever.

Nice T2 Dominic 👍 Now stuff off.
If it helps, in the last hour or so, I didn't get squat, just improved my other times.
But seriously, this setup is amazingly better than mine. Phenomenal.

So good I have to wonder if everyone in the top 5 at least isn't running yours or something like it.
I tried changing things here and there, and nothing gave any benefit, I am in awe at how good this is.

Thanks mate 👍

Small improvement for me:

26.775
20.407

T3 is maxed out I reckon so looking for maybe another 0.1 in each of T1 and 2.... anything else is a big bonus. Lots of barrier collisions tonight - I'll take an iron to the lap tomorrow.

Not saying I'm 100% done, but a reminder to everyone, you can submit more than once.

Submitted, so I can't forget and because I doubt I can beat my time.
Now I can't forget, and the worst that can happen is forgetting a better time, if that happens. :)

Good luck all - I see Chris already headed my way. :scared:

27.700
21.234

still alot of time to come off.. took alot of t3 tonight, not sure if I'll get another chance to run or not. family coming over tomorrow...

good luck... that last turn will make or break you like none other.

You ain't kiddin, I've beat my current splits at least 4 times without besting my T3, but lucky number 5....

26.732
20.262

I only gained .034 at the line, but the extra cleanliness is MORE than worth it, spent a half hour double and quintuple checking the last one.
Anyway, I don't see more than a .3 or so max left, and I never get that, so that should be all from me. :)

Thanks again Chris, fantastic tune for without it I would be so far back from here it's unreal. I'd be lying if I said I hope you beat me, but you deserve it.

(Still amazed) ...

I'm going to be giving it one last go at reducing time in a couple of hours. I do have one quick question though. Are the areas that have the white hatch lines a legal part of the track? Meaning that I don't have to avoid staying out of them?

Areas that have the hatching as seen in the bottom left corner in this picture.

yep

All is track, just don't hit the walls.

Thank you!👍 That was just the news I was looking for. I had seen it said 'all is track' but I was confused because it says in wrs rules that runoff areas are not part of the track. I wasn't sure if it was considered a runoff area.
Now that means I will have improved times! I have been avoiding those areas.:embarrassed:

Touch faster everywhere. Still more to come from T2 and also the last turn as I got into a tank slapper on the exit. Still made 0.075 at the line :)

27.188
20.978

guess I'm going to have a run at Vega's set this afternoon..... seems like a popular one. I have mixed emotions on rutting other peoples sets though. I wish I had the knowledge to do my own, but I just can't put it all together. I can tweak someone's setup to my liking fine, but thats about it..... I'm still confused on if PD fixed the issue of everything on the left side being backward.... sigh. looking forward to trying Vega's setup though.... really like this combo even though it too is frustrating.... I've seen some crazy splits, then I glance off a wall, or have to let up to avoid the wall...... then there are the hit the wall so hard it hurts even though it isn't real crashes. those are the oooooooouch, glad this is a simulation.....

After a lot of work I've managed to get some times that look a bit like the ones other guys in my division started with:

T1: 28.467
T2: 22.143

I've posted my final time, although hopefully I'll get a chance to have another crack at it tomorrow. I gotta say, this is the most fun I've had in GT5 for a long time, certainly the most challenging. Looking at the times the guys in the top divisions are posting just blows my mind. It beggars belief.

Final times. Somehow managed to gain two tenths on T1, but overall time was much better:

T1: 28.638
T2: 21.447

Submitted with times posted; just don't see right now my being able to find the time to better them today or tomorrow.

In addition to using Chris' suspension and Dominic's gears:

TC: 1 [First time I've used this in a while but it doesn't bother the speed on this track] :)
4WDtq:
ASM:
ABS - 2
B. BIAS - 6/5
AS: STRONG
S'TIVITY:
CAR -
FFB: 1

Great combo, Jerome and the OLR team!

Seems I'm forced to improve now . . . :nervous:
Ran a few hours with the wheel to try to get a bit more used to it.
Went back to the DS3 to try to get a decent lap to submit, slower than on the outset.
So I wont be submitting this week. WAYYYY off the pace.
Ill use the WRS to practice and slowly get better for a few weeks aleast before i start to improve i would think.
Thanks to everyone that PM'd me with hints and tips, much appreciated, very useful!

Cheers All !!!

Going to try and get this car to max Hp today, haven't been on as much as I'd like. Hopefully get a good time in for tomorrow too. I'll have a go with some of the set ups posted 👍

Went half a sec quicker but was dirty. My lap time is pretty average but at least its submittable :-)

Nice splits Jon! I could match those if I drink some Vettel juice but Im all out of it!

Improved my lap time by a bit but I haven't really been able to spend too much time on this combo this week.

28.012
21.787

So I beat my previous best time, but when I go to view the replay of that newest set best time. The sector times don't add up to what the fastest lap was. They are far higher. Anybody know whats up with that?

Just guessing here, but if you saved the full replay instead of the best lap replay, it will go through your whole session of laps and if you wait long enough you should see your best lap splits.

If you haven't exited yet, try saving the best lap instead. Just keep in mind, unless your best lap was the first lap, it's going to show the previous lap splits at first, then as your best lap progresses, it will overwrite the previous ones.

Thank you very much, my exact issue was that I didn't wait for it to go through the sectors to overwrite the previous times.👍

Tried CSLACR's active steering trick last night. Seemed to work, sort of. Was all over the place with it on strong, did my best (clean) time so far on mild. When I switched it off I saw no immediate improvement but ended up a lot faster. Saw T1s up to .9 quicker than this and a lap 1s quicker but dirty. It gives me something to work towards though.

New best splits.

Wasn't going to run this week but there wasn't much else to do I thought what the heck.

26.572
20.189

Made an absolute pigs ear of final sector:ouch: Will have about 30mins tomorrow after work to improve.

(Someone please fill in the words, I am at loss)

👍👍👍

His words imply it was a quick session, his times suggest a long session, idk.

Some incredible splits... knocked me from 2nd to 4th quickly enough, inspiring me to definitely give this yet another run.
