I think I have settled on 10/15/15.

Do you mean -25/-30 or are you really running with a higher front? Could be interesting.

Very nice splits 👍

I am now using Avid's rock hard suspension only with small changes:

-25/-30
14.2/15.6
8/8
7/7
4/6
2.6/2.2
-0.05/0

Brake balance 5/3/1. The usual trick with stronger rear brake to help turn in does not really work on this car.

For the dark screen people: Try XMB > Settings > Display Settings > RGB Full Range = OFF. Made a world of a difference to me.
I might switch to -30 / -30, we'll see.

Made some improvement, especially in T2 using CSLACR 's setup. Thanks for sharing!

edit: just saw Iddledo @ 10th, wow, nice work smoking div 3 and 4 👍
You been eating Wheaties?

T2: 21.784

After seeing some of the posted D4 times, I may be through for the week! :indiff:

Dan, you just improved by about 1sec, though! And ignoring the outlier iddledoo, you're within .6 of #2 in D4! You can DOO it! (In the voice of Rob Schneider from The Waterboy).

Lol, don't get me wrong, it's not a matter of giving up, but if the pattern holds true, there will be a flood of leap-frogs over me by the weekend. But, the learning curve is all I'm trying to control. Watching the replays and the tips all of you give, plus the tunes, makes the WRS the fun I enjoy!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! 👍

Don't know if these are better splits, but I do know that I was much faster at the line with a better T3. T2 still quite cautious and pants in a few spots.

Edit: Yes! Marginally better - but you could park about ten buses in the gap between me and cicua.....

Your dedication is admirable Dan - I expect to see some great progress from you soon. 👍

This is a tricky one to nail a setup with... these sticky tyres can give false feedback with suspension changes before the tyres are warmed up. I've ended up with this for now:

Max speed 211mph

LSD 10/21/16

-25/-30 (no they aint fixed the ride height problem yet)
14.4/15.3
7/9
7/9
5/5

2.5/1.6
0.00/0.10

Brakes 9/5
ABS 7

(Edit - Just had a flick through the other posted setups and mine seems very similar to the one cicua is running. Score 👍 Good stable front and can really push hard through the high speed stuff.)

Which has got me this so far:

26.822
20.540

Reckon I can squeeze another couple of tenths out of it but Adam's time is looking very like a UFO encounter from here. Nice one matey. 👍

:scared: Pressure...pressure!!!! :sly:

Gonna be watching the CWS tomorrow but will give your set a try this weekend.

Thanks for sharing!!!!

 👍 Exactly how I feel about CICO, not to speak of Bugman and Dominic.

But I got a little K-car to add :D

20.927

Slight improvement after using Vagabond's setup. At first it didn't feel like it drove as well, but it was faster by a good margin at the line so can't complain.

T1: 27.569
T2: 21.655

Up to level 20 on my GTP tag, will get up to 22 after a few more races then I can purchase the car! 👍

I got mine from a Lvl22 ticket from one of latest seasonal races, PSN me if you need it 👍

Man I love this combo. Forcing myself to bed now. Last splits for tonight..

27.246
20.515

Thanks for the offer but I just got to Level 22! Now to run maybe 15 mins worth before I go to sleep.:)

You are welcome. Looking forward to see you ... errh pushing me down the ladder or something :dopey:

From my session I just ran I managed a low 27 in T1 and I'm not even sure what I got in T2, but the best I saw overall in the first 2 splits was a 48.1. Will give it a proper go tomorrow and hopefully crack a mid 47 at least, and maybe even get a 46 (yeah right)!

Sounds good, and the car is not even broken in yet, you should end up with 727bhp. Don't forget frequent oil changes.

I hope to break 47.5 - but first I'll have to stop getting distracted when the splits are in blue :indiff:

Good luck 👍

I don't recall this being mentioned in this thread yet, but you can put a left mirror into the tunnel wall, a la Eiger and Poolhaas in Week 7:

p0604110251.jpg

I didn't notice any speed drop, sound or damage afterwards on the GT at SSR5 as well.

HugoBoss eventually ruled Poolhaas' lap was valid [See his ruling below], and I don't think that has changed.

But personally, using HugoBoss' "It's better to submit a 'slow' lap that is clean, than a fast one that is invalid" policy, I threw out a previous faster lap because I wasn't sure that it would/would not show on the logging meter at SSR5. Not saying that anyone else should, of course.

In the '08 archive, I also see where Jake was mentioning this same issue at SSR5, and it's still valid.

Sorry poolhaas. Yes you were close to the wall entering the tunnel. I did not hear any contact noises but had another look to check. Near 50.4 Your mirror is in the left wall, as it enters the tunnel. I tried a second time to pause at this point to take a picture. Had several tries before I managed it and took a couple of pictures at 50.433. I took two pictures but not sure how to post them.

HUGOBOSS

Sharp eyes, Nizzy! Thanks for all the effort you put in

Even though the mirror is at one moment in the wall, no speed drop occurs.
Knowing previous GT's had 'invisible' walls, the criterium of a speed drop has become leading. Since there's no speed drop to be seen or heard, this run will be counted as valid.

Please all, remember to scrutinize your own run before submission. Make sure you're convinced it's 100% clean, or otherwise submit your 2nd fastest run. It's better to submit a 'slow' lap that is clean, than a fast one that is invalid

Good T3 as well.

Sorry I've not been around much (not that anyone missed me), just been manic at work.

Hope to run some more tomorrow evening.

I've run some faster laps but I always screw it up somehow.
Usually just giving a little too much gas coming out of a turn and the side just ever so lightly bumps the wall. I also end up dipping too far into the over flow zones.:grumpy:
What seems to be my favorite though, is running a beautiful lap and getting so nervous towards the end and screwing up somewhere in the last quarter of the track.:banghead:

Anyway, enough rambling.

T1: 29.296
T2: 21.818

Finally got a chance to try to shave a little time off...

T1: 28.422
T2: 21.806

A little more time off...
T1: 27.922
T2: 21.527

Not much better...

T2: 21.580

Wow some nice times up so far. Getting back into the events now that things are back to normal :)

Need to start over, was wondering why I was 2 seconds off everyone's splits. Was using racing hards

Anyway here's my splits with racing hards

29.451
23.008

Now to buy those softs :D

Great splits Carlos, you really are getting fast 👍

Peter, how many laps did you do before realised it was the wrong tires :D

I´m away for the weekend so i will not try this again before sunday or monday, but was really enjoying this car.
But i´m at the swimming pool, with 30º here in Portugal so i can´t complain :sly:

Put in a couple of hours, looked at the board and I was right at the bottom
But true to form I still posted my splits good or bad.

Have you got the leaderboards on your phone at the pool :sly:

5 laps in with proper tyres :)

28.124
25.688

Everything off, bog stock settings. Man she's a completely different beast on softs, it grips 👍

Same for me, we deployed a new VOIP system at work this week and it's been crazy to say the least :scared: Maybe this weekend I can put more time in.

No, this can't be right...

Not my best splits but a good T3. Can't string it together yet :ouch:

T1: 26.817
T2: 20.457

Having said that ....

T1: 26.588
T2: 20.481

Starting to get it together, T2 is my downfall right now.
