Finally! Sent in my Qualifier a while ago but haven't had time to sit down and really do anything since. I don't believe I've been added to the list yet, assuming I'm verified in time:

I've got my work cut out for me

T1: 22.210
T2: 37.678

Will give it another go after the D3D race tonight

It's only me or Autumn red time = more than 2 tires out of track (inside) ?

I think thats what gets the red timer going more than 2 off but I dont know if its 3 or 4...also I dont know if its actually possible to be clean to WRS standards and accidentally trip a red timer altho I have wondered about it but if it goes red I just have assumed its dirty and dumped the lap in the past anyhow.

So different from last week that feels like two different games

First splits

T1: 21.573
T2: 36.945

Jack, if the lap goes red then the game deems it dirty. Additionally, you can't save it as a 'best lap replay', therefore making a red lap inadmissable for WRS purposes.

The opposite of what you have said is sometimes true though i.e. dirty by WRS standards but not a red timer, so care is always needed to check replays.

Had another quick go, I haven't hit a .0xx through T1 yet I don't know how you guys are getting that?! Here are my splits anyway:

T1: 21.208
T2: 36.552

Been way too busy this summer to turn laps in anything...so I'm definitely feeling rusty. I have no idea how you guys are getting 21.0 T1's, the best I've seen is a 21.26 and I really have no clue how that even happened.

Best lap so far.

T1: 21.378
T2: 36.791

Got me some groceries...Took a couple hours to find everything though, dang Safeway's all rearranged! :dunce: Might need to go back for a pack of burrito's though...

21.682
37.092

Waited until after my session to look at the HP and torque curves for this little monster...seems like shifting at redline might not be the best.

Whoa dude those are some good splits. About equal to my new splits. Im not to pumped about mine tho because I know its possible for me to take T3 3 tenths faster than I did. I think I kinda blew the last corner but I always seem to no matter how I take it except once I came out of there like I had nitrous and I dont have a clue why either...just did. I can pretty much say the same thing about all the corners...one time I really came flying out of each of them. No clue why.

T1: 21.539
T2: 37.189

BTW when would you think the optimum shift point is? On the uphill parts I push it until it almost hits the limiter.

I'd try shifting at 6000 max, instead of redline of 7000, for more torque.
Max torque drops off at 5000.

Man, turns 1 and 2 are a hoot! 👍 And the few turns after that...:P:tup:

Nice pace, Jack.

Thanks Lucas.

Got all of T3 this time.:)

T1: 21.542
T2: 37.141

BB 3/2

I been messing with BB again I tried 2/2 3/1 when I tried 3/2 tho it sure made T1, specifically the second corner, way easier for me. I got to thinking one of the fastest guys is using 8/4 so maybe a slightly weaker rear brake might help. Who knows what my BB might be tomorrow. lol

21.724
36.912

This is a good clean lap, hit every apex. How are you guys doing T1 so fast? *Checks i'm on the correct tyres*

EDIT:

21.584
37.131

Gained a little in T1 but lost it all in T2. A better T3 means a tenth up at the line. I can see there is improvement over the lap, but this T1 is my PB and I can't see where I can gain time in that sector :indiff: Maybe a few hundredths but I don't how how people are doing sub 22.2xx

I stay in 3rd gear all the way through T1, I don't change to 4th after crossing the line. For the slight right I ease off ever so slightly (first corner) going through there at about 105MPH.

For the first left I am holding about 67-68MPH in 3rd, the next left I tend to try and catch a bit of curb as I find it helps swing the car round.

Hope this helps 👍

I'm going as low a 63mph for the first left. I take the first right full throttle instead of lifting slightly so i'm not all the way to the right for that corner, this may be where i'm losing a couple of tenths, thankyou 👍

What sort of speed are you managing for the chicane? I lift off on entry for a moment and from the replay I go as low a 72-73mph as I begin to power out. The first entry kerb always pushes me wide, my ghost always gets away from me there if I take any entry kerb.

EDIT: According to my replay I did use a bit of kerb there  But any more and i'm off-line completely for the little chicane.

No problem 👍

How there getting .0s in T1 i'm not sure, but I am not as far right as I could be to enter turn 2 so may be I am not lifting off enough.

As for the chicane i'm not sure what speeds I am going through there, will check when I get online later. I said I hold 105MPH, try dropping a tiny bit lower so you can have a wider entry for turn 2, I will be trying this technique myself later :)

Edit: Don't forget, everyone will be using the 2 tires on the grass technique through the chicane

My assumption was about Autumn ring only, and only in inside line. You don't get red if go past the rumble strip exiting too fast. I find that you can easy red in turn 2, 5, in the last chicane and in penult corner. Just would like to know if you found laps inadmissable for WRS without going red in these corners

I managed a 22.2 in my last try yesterday night, and I went sub 22.1 only once.
It's almost luck. Most likely you will get a lot of reds to make a good 22.2. I have no idea were to gain another tenth, My weak point is weight transfer braking to turn 3.

For the first left I am holding about 67-68MPH in 3rd, the next left I tend to try and catch a bit of curb as I find it helps swing the car round.

I almost avoid that first left curb, taking only the second

There is a trade-off in those first couple of turns as to how much you lift off from a little session I just had. I dropped down to 100mph but I was still no further to the right than I was at 105. I think the line is more important here, to cut as much of the kerb as possible so you can straighten up intime for the left hander, whilst not lifting off too much. But it's definitely faster than flat 👍 You can also carry more speed through the left hander than you would expect, the apex isn't so important as long as you keep the speed up above 66-67mph.

Small improvement in my splits, half a second up at the line:

T1: 21.512
T2: 36.932

That's around my PB for both. Looking at the replay I was a little slow through the chicane in T1, going down to 68mph when I stated before I did 72, so that's another tenth or two. I think I could do a low 21.3xx or a high 21.2xx but no better than that.

First splits:

T1: 21.564
T2: 37.079

I don't know if can go much faster. FF cars aren't my biggest strength.

Nice jump, Lefty! 👍 What, did you only pick up a box of Kleenex on your grocery run? I need to drop these 4 cases of beer and big bag of dog food off before I try to set a good lap, I guess.

I seem to have picked up some of these on my grocery shop:

I'm getting there, but at the moment i'm well off the pace. This is a very tough combo compared to the 207 at Trial Mountain reverse (Which I believe was the last FF/Arcade mode combo).

Man I can't beleve how close you have to trim the turns to rip off a good one.

What a gamble it is when your just a couple of turns from home 👍

First splits ever posted :).
I had the BB 4/8 seemed to help using a DS3
