Can't keep the line, to get below 22.0 in T1, while still keep it together on the rest of the round....
However I have been down to 21.8s on several runs, so I know it is within reach. 👍

But I did manage to improve my T2 with a solid .3. :sly:

New splits..:
T1: 22.063
T2: 36.972

I must have pounded out anouther 100 laps and couldn't do anything w/ my shows but I cut another .8 off the OT :)

I can see improvements in sector 1 and minor improvements in sector 2, but everytime I am ahead of my ghost by the T2 splits I am over half a second down at the line. I absolutely nailed T3. The thing is, I went wide on the exit to the left hander in T1, so i'll not even bother posting the splits to the board as it is dirty (21.255, 36.692 respectively). It's crazy, an effort over half a second faster than any other attempt and it's dirty :ouch: The gains weren't where I went off the track though, it's gutting.

A very short session, maybe 15 laps, but some improvement. a couple hundredths lost in T1, more than a tenth gain in T2 and a major improvement in T3:

T1: 21.571
T2: 37.018

I feel like I'm figuring out a plan for a faster T1 now, but have yet to execute that plan well. Definitely feel like I'm missing the boat somewhere in T2. As for T3, well I never know what to expect there.

Small improvement after testing this car/track combination online for the 3D3 race next week. Doing a bunch of laps to get into the flow without worrying about splits actually helps quite a bit when you dig back into arcade mode to run WRS laps.

T1: 21.426
T2: 37.003

Still some tenths out there to find.

First bunch of laps:

21.428
37.111

Plenty of laps to come..👍

Little slow this today...

Some more laps last night, now after that magic lap to string together all sectors, still loosing .3x on track

T1: 21.247
T2: 36.817 :ouch:

Finally I can get involved in this race, been busy up to now so haven't had the time plus I've just seen I've been added to Div2 Bronze after I submitted my time a couple of weeks ago. Think I'll spend the rest of the morning and some of the afternoon trying to catch you people up.

My first hour on it up to now

21.446
37.068

too much smoking going on at present

Man, I really need to join this 21.4xx club that you D3'ers have started without me! :dunce:

Saw a couple 21.5's last night, and I think I'm not doing turn 2 as well as I should.

Also tried a few laps with ABS 0 BB 0/0, and that was pretty interesting (and HARD).

Latest splits,

T1, 21.658
T2, 37.545

Great turnout so far this week 👍

Now that they (D2) have "stolen" T13R from us (D3), they've got us beat by one driver 15 - 14. Come on D3, we need to drum up at least two more D3 entries so we can assert our usual dominance on the leader board. If not by fastest times at least by the sheer power of the mob! We need a D3 mascot and fight song.

By the very quick times posted so far, I assume the grocery store is in the third sector (haven't found it yet myself, though).

I'm thinking of submitting very soon, hopefully I'll be able to join D3, we'll see... Probably not in time to officially register a time for this week's time trial, though.

Beware, UCD list makers are fast!!!

Yes, we're in a class by ourselves, aren't we? ;)

Seriously, though, I guess I'm more like D4 or D5 material. But I am improving...

T1: 21.172
T2: 36.549

Still making a mess of T3 though, need to figure out how much I can cut the curbs through that section as I think that's where I'll be losing time from not cutting them enough. Have seen a .0 in the first split now which is good, now to hook that up with a decent T2 and T3!

By turn 2, do you mean the left turn up the hill? Assuming that's what you mean, there was some discussion above, but...

The previous corner is key! Grabbing a LOT of curbing/grass and being able to exit the previous right as far to the right as possible to set up the left turn. Slowing down to just the right speed and turning in early enough so you get 'close' to apex on the left and can get back in gas early, drifting out to right curbing as always. I think I'm going about 69/70 mph at apex on my best runs and turning in a lot earlier than I think is natural, but that could be because I'm carrying a little too much speed and sliding the fronts. I'm only 18th fastest in T1 so obviously I've got a lot to figure out myself. Maybe someone faster can post a few tips, their speed at apex or a better overall approach.

FYI, any of you running WRS this week are invited to the 3D3 race using this combo next Wednesday night. Based on testing, this event translates very well to an online race and to quote Lefty, "will be a total riot". Following so close after the WRS event this online race should require practically no additional practice. To date the 3D3 races have been very fun with lots of clean/hard/close racing. CSL dominated this past week, leading wire to wire, but the rest of the pack was very tight and the first event was won by only 0.613 seconds after 30 laps!

You're also welcome/encouraged to invite a friend that might not yet be in the GTP Registry. The idea being that racing online with other WRS drivers will push them over the edge and get them to run the qualifier and join the WRS. E.g. Beefalicious who was recruited by Lefty for our first event and has since submitted his WRS qualifier 👍

Details and sign-up instructions here. Note: event times probably best suited to those in North American time zones.

Some great new splits everyone.

See some D2 drivers made a charge and passed me to the T2 checkpoint. Time to fire up the old grocery hauler and haul some...well something besides groceries.:)

Slight improvement.

21.348
37.004

Not sure where I can pick up more time in T3 though, still not really confident in line / gear choices there.
My common sense is missing something...

For two days I have not been able to get within 0.2 of my ghost.

Usually you learn a corner well and then get better, refine it. But for me bad habits tend to grow and get worse as well.

Totally clueless and frustrated I went back and studied ghost replays. It helped...

21.355
36.803

But I got so surprised that I blew T3 and ended with exactly same lap time as ghost, to the very last decimal :dunce:

Yes T3 is really a conundrum (always wanted to use that word.) You can do it in what you feel is exactly the same manner for two laps and there will be a half second difference in that sector alone. I have a lap that is a full two tenths slower at T2 than the one I have on the leaderboard and still 15/100 faster across the line. I haven't posted it because I have stubbornly thought that it must, it really must, be possible to find that final sector one more time.

Can't get a better lap at all. Might end up submitting with the time that matches the splits on the board.

Again I have run out of chances to get another go at this one, happy with my position at the moment but no doubt WRP and Graviton will ruin my weekend yet again!!:grumpy:
Nice T1 from Hydro.👍

Jim, Believe me, I would love to steal your groceries. But if I stick with my current slow-ish time, I get to start ahead of WRP001 and Hydro in next week's 3D3 race. My plan might just work. :dunce:
