Hey Guys,...

Very cool, thanks Josh đź‘Ť My only personal problem with that is I am already pretty much doing what you outlined... just not fast enough obviously. :dopey:

Very small improvement:

T1: 23.565
T2: 22.938

I hate being addicted to this WRS thing...

Your times are not to be sniffed at.

I'm also addicted to WRS.

450 miles later, I beat my lap time. Though my T2 Is slower than my previous one. (23.164)

T1 23.746
T2 23.295

The big time gains on this lap are braking into turn 1, the double right hander and left into the tunnel, and the second last corner.

Brake in a straight line and trail brake Into the apex.

Be smooth and gentle with everything trough the double right.

Brake early and power on early from the left hander. As you get on the power, your steering needs to be almost straight.

And enter the second last corner late, and take it as straight as you can. Any sliding kills your run down the whole straight. The shift light should start flashing before the end of the outside rumble strip if your max speed is set to 230kmh.

Hope this helps.

:) Oh I'm not complaining at my own pace, I just have no idea how Josh can do pretty much the same as me but go 0.1 quicker through every corner :dunce: Consistency is something I definitely lack... one lap can be within 0.05 of my best, the next 0.3 slower, the next I crash, etc... I just did another run and managed my quickest ever T1 of 23.502, then about the worst T2 I've done since Monday. Very frustrating.... like Rudi said, doing a flying sector seems to inspire a mistake immediately after. Hitting the talent wall I think its called. :sly:

....lots of useful info...
Hope this helps.
Oh it does mate, I just lack the consistency to make it stick for the most part. I'm pretty much maxed out in T1 and can regularly get low 23.5's. T2 is awful and I can't get under 22.9 at all. T3 seems ok for the most part but depends heavily on my exit from T2.... I'm giving it a break for tonight after throwing away my best T1 time. Back on it tomorrow night for some more self abuse ;) Many thanks for your input and tips mate. Much appreciated. đź‘Ť

some new times on my day off:

T1: 23.770
T2: 23.282

Thanks for the advice on tuning too, it helped a lot. Though I still find it hard to keep this car from sliding under brakes. Part of the fun, hey.

Kinda sad, although I shaved another .150 off my final time. My splits didn't go down & actually went up a little. Oh well, going to submit these splits for this week. Good luck to everyone this week, and Happy St.Patricks Day. Don't drink and drive đź‘Ť

T1: 23.742
T2: 23.049

Finally get to return after setting my first session Monday afternoon.... spent about 60 laps late last night and this session just gone, and that's pretty much it for me. Up 0.146 at T2, but have pretty much maxed out from there to the line, gaining over 0.3xx.

T1: 23.561
T2: 22.913

Your splits/time is not to be sneezed at Chris....... you should be stoked.đź‘Ť

Hehe :sly: thanks mate and yeah, I am stoked. đź‘Ť

I don't want to seem too like too much of a brat but I was even more stoked when I thought I might have a chance of beating you for a change :P

I am certain that will happen..... it's not a might, it will definitely happen, there will be weeks that I wont get the hang of....

I need an official word from the stewards if this is clean or dirty?

Since this lap I've done 550km's more to beat this time but I simply can't do it and my nerves are really thick already....:nervous:

fwiw I would say that's dirty because the rear tyre makes no contact with the rumble strip. It looks to me almost identical to the image in the OP, which shows the "dirty" line.

...but then, what do I know!

I think I'm just going to give up on this week. I'm done about 100 km and most of it was sideways. I have an awful time and everytime I beat it in a sector I spin.:grumpy:

Updated splits

23.749
23.478

At times I am 2 tenths faster than my ghost but mess it up in some sector, hard to string it together. Don't know where you guys are finding the extra half a second in T-2 , amazing!

Also think I might have found a bug with the online replays. When loading any of the online top ten (whether loading ghost, or previously saved top ten replay) when the counter reaches close to the lap time of the ghost replay, the whole game freezes. Tried cleaning the Internet cache, and on both of my PSN accounts. Works fine with my saved replays though. Wierd, because this used to work previously.

That is actually a quite interesting picture and I'm looking forward to an official verdict. Where does the curb end? I assume it's some kind of filler material in between the actual rumbles and whatever it is outside. Is that considered part of the rumbles or not?

It would be hard to make it closer, but I would say off. Though the rules say the tires must be vertically in line with the track, it's the contact patch that is the true test, and with the tires fully down, the contact patch is clearly off the rumbles.

So the strip between the curb and what I will from now on call concrete is part of the curb?

Please note, I'm not trying to be difficult here, I just want to know.
