Man, feels like I've spent all day running this beast. Oh right. I did! Except for that 1.5hrs where I ran the Rain Dance online race. :D

Not really happy with any of the sectors except T2, which is a PB, by a good tenth. đź‘Ť

18.413
28.671
24.399

Thanks to Chris and Wes for all their awesome help/tips this week.

I think I am getting somewhere with most of the lap. I even managed to do a 28.40 T2, too bad it came after a 18.45 T1... I can also comfortably pull off 24.20 T3s. Only problem is that I am currently more or less totally unable to get below 18.3 in T1. My best T1 the whole week is 18.16 and I have actually only been in the 18.1s three times.

Final splits...

T1: 18.391
T2: 29.034
T3: 24.297

Happy to be back WRS'ing though! đź‘Ť

Well, I am now officially on overtime, as yesterday I hit 40 hours with this combo. The most frustrating lap starts with a t1 of .160, with a solid t2, then it goes pfft! It's slower at the line by a tenth. :(

Like Chris, and I'm sure many others, my entire leaderboard is separated by a tenth. There are times on there from every one of the last four days. :ill:

I've been using every trick I have on this one. I've built new ghosts to chase. I've run without any ghost. I've chased ghosts with fast t1's and tried to pass them. I've chased ghosts with slow t1's and tried to stay ahead of them. Nothing has worked, yet. :grumpy:

My next post is number 1,000. I'm hoping it will be to announce some new splits that put me back in the race for D2.

In the meantime, I'm going to take a few laps before the guys get here for Sunday Morning racing. If you don't hear from me again, the men in the white coats have come and carried me away!!!

Racing the 🤬 On! :gtpflag:

I think i have pushed as hard as i can to get a smooth lap from this now, i can go up about .1 in t2 and t3 respectively, but i just cannot get the other sectors right to make an improvement on the overall time. I am however only half a second off of the time i wanted to set, so i am *almost* happy enough with it lol

T1: 18.703
T2: 29.608
T3: 24.677

Just gonna post my time now, and if i can take it i might try again tomorrow for a few laps to take the extra .2 off overall lol

Well, just beat my overall by 3 tenths, not the 5 I was hoping for but I'll take it. Considering I couldn't come close to my ghost yesterday, after a few laps just now, I beat it by that much I'm quite pleased.

Slower T1 and 2 then a tiny bit faster in T3, must of been a good T4 for me.

18.533
29.303
24.519

Quite annoyed about the T2, I've seen a few 29.0xx but always on a slow lap.

I put another half hour today, for a 2,5 hours total. Too few, but I managed a lucky T1+T2+T3 combination yesterday. Just wanted to improve a weak T4, but this is..... I've no time this evening and none tomorrow. Will be better next time. Submitting with current splits.

By the way, nice rollercoaster combo! The Maserati's rear is tight (with S3) enough to survive to all these jumps đź‘Ť
For those who put a huge amount of hours in it...... countless 200kph wall bumping I guess :D

All my top 10 times are now within 0.1 of each other but with wildly different sector times. Its crazy and the damned spreadsheet is still telling me I can go 0.4 quicker over the lap

must have left a good .4 on track that i should have been capable of going by comparing my splits but Que sara sara

This combo is driving me insane. There must be something "fishy" on this one
because the number of people with the same problem of getting what they think is a good lap as reached abnormal numbers

I´m on the same boat, if i have a good start i can´t string a good T2, if i manage a .8 at T2 suddenly i forget how to do T3, but if i manage several laps of good T2 and T3 i become incapable of a good T1 .
What the xxxx is going on?

Proof:

T1: 18.401 :ouch::banghead:
T2: 28.533
T3: 24.300 :ouch:

Yep it's a very difficult combo to max out your potential for sure, gotta give props to Wes for being able to hold his nerves for the duration of the lap as its more than i could do that's for sure đź‘Ť

I did consider running a few more laps tonight, but I just put myself out of the madness session by submitting with the lap on the splits board after full 2 laps of scrutiny.

I'm gonna predict Wes to be roughly .5 ahead at the line! and Twisty about .3 and I wouldn't be surprised if Chris finishes ahead of me also (even with the small difference at T3) due to a very sloppy last section on my best save :ouch: đź‘Ť

Looking forward to more of the same madness in the very near future
GL to all! Great combo

I didn't have much nerves as I did that lap after 1 hour of driving not knowing that that was going to be the best I could get.

I have the same problems as everyone and I must have waisted at least 10 good T3's now.
My T4 is pretty average as well.. I'm not going to rest until I reached that goal!!

T1: 17.918
T2: 28.393
T3: 24.185
Finally.:)

Submitted with splits below. Just could get a consistant T1 but the rest of the lasp was ok, been quicker in T1 than this but would always end up throwing all the time away somewhere else.

T1: 18.622
T2: 28.761
T3: 24.460

Mmmmmmmm

Magic T1 and T2, average D1 T3 đź‘Ž
Is your secret a tunneling bonus?
That T2 wasn't perfect actually, I've seen low .3's. I have seen better T1's as well.. Better T3's.. but I'm happy with the lap overall as many are having trouble keeping it together.

Tunneling bonus, nope. I'm sure Chris and Ron could get the same sector times.. They just haven't been able to keep it together (yet).

T1: etc
T2: etc
T3: etc

Those are nice splits Joao, whether or not you like them. I didn't think my T2 would be beaten by much, divisionally. Not so!

If you DO hook up the lap you want, my guess is that you'll not be beaten :)

Having trouble beating my splits, thought I might have reached my limit, then made the end of t2 on a 46.8?!
Was so surprised i ended up missing the braking point for the uphill section and crashed. Gonna keep running tonight and see if I can make that magic lap.

That'll do, i know there is time in the track but i haven't any patience left to find it. Spent an hour tonight lapping within 3 tenths of the fastest lap i've done beating all but my T1 times by up to .5 in different laps.
I just cant get them together on the same lap, if i could i'd be another .5 sec maybe better than i am.

I meant first two sectors have a tunnel, and by coincidence you are overwhelming others there :)

Thanks but like I said that's just because I managed to keep the lap together. Chris, Ron, Thomas, Joao and maybe others are all capable of replicating those sectors but they haven't done it in their best lap.;)

Wes has gone baresark again. Top man. đź‘Ť Now bugger off into D1G will you? :P
And you think you will be clear of me then? We will be battling the rest of our GT5 WRS lifes.:sly:

Thanks Matt, but i´m sure that you´re exactly in that position :sly:

I'm gonna give it another 2x 1 hour sessions, one now, one tomorrow. Wouldn't want to make it too easy for you ;)

I don't think I can do any better in T2 or T4 - I need to find tenths in 1 and 3, while running at max in 2 and 4.....having just said this I'm wondering why I'm bothering

First off let me start by stating that if this has been covered before feel free to delete.

What way do we have to check and see that people are using the arcade Maserati? I was thinking about it today while resting my thumbs and then I decided to test my theory. I bought a Maserati and added to my favorites. I then added the twin plate clutch, driveshaft, lsd, sport suspension, weight reduction stage 2 and went for some test laps. Needless to say, I was faster. I then checked my replay in every way I could think of and there was no way that I could differentiate the cars, aside from the faster laps.

I'm sure 99% of us and others who would join the WRS wouldn't do this as it defeats the purpose but you never know...

Thoughts?

Mike, slow down, holy cow! Have to put my 350Z away, and try to catch!

18.664
29.128
24.485

I think you'll beat me this week :) Can't see me going any faster. Hopefully a close result, you definitely made me put more time in this week, been fun đź‘Ť

I wait to see how bad my T4 is :nervous:

Finding it hard to replicate the fluke t1 and 2 I had earlier. But have just had a faster lap, although the splits are 5 thousandths slower than previous lol!

T1 18.338
T2 28.875
T3 24.342

Had a better run to line - realised the left corner at the bottom of the hill just after t3 I could get the power on early and use the camber of the road to help hold a good line.

My god?! Isn't this a 'I'm-about-to-throw-my-wheel-out-the-window' combo.

In a 1 hour session, I maybe had like 5 laps that weren't redclocked. :banghead:
Cutting just a little too much in the first OR the last turn...
Not to mention the wall banging all over the track.

Well, if you do it like that, and win, you will be asked for a replay. If you provide the replay, people that have run hundreds of laps in the "correct" car will be able to tell pretty quick, and you'll be disqualified and/or banned from the WRS. If you do not provide a replay, then you just get disqualified.

Probably my final splits for the week. My best lap overall, I doubt I'll get lucky enough to beat it in the next 1/2 hour.

Matt, I think you should call it a week so I have at least a small chance to finish ahead of you for once.

18.347
28.647
24.304

Posting with these splits. I'm taking next week off, I'm touring colleges with my daughter.

Decided to give this one a last go. Very fun but also very frustrating at the same time.

18.626
29.112
24.745

Know it probably won't bump me much but this is about as fast as I can manage!

On to monza.

Justin.
