Shlagem, the leaderboard is recognising your gear ratios as splits! Can you edit and remove the decimal point - everyone will still understand the ratios. Thanks

Had a run at this last night with a best to T2 (before screwing up Ascari) of 1'02.8 - it's a long week though and the car still needs work to go around a corner. Will be having nightmares about Parabolica after my wk18 run, as I lost a D2 win in that one corner :ouch:

That is fixed, sorry for any damage done.:nervous:

having hard times at ascari and parabolica is driving me nuts as well :ouch:

T1, 23.110
t2, 41.838

20 laps or so

T1 23.480
T2 40.936

enough for an early try I hope I spend more time through the week :)

Actually, out of curiosity. On the second chicane, do you have to take the Tarmac or can you cut over the green stuff?

  • Tarmac and Red and White Rumbles are Track
  • Nothing Else is Track
  • Green surfaces next to rumble strips are not track

As long as two wheels are on the red and white rumbles, white lines or tarmac, then you're fine.

Oh right sorry, I thought I read somewhere that they were so better safe then sorry.

Thanks 👍

The pictures here might help to illustrate the point. This is the first chicane that is not being used this week, but the concept's the same. These are/were all clean.

Oh I understand what you mean, just wanted clarification.

Understand fully. 👍

After 15 laps in total I got this.

T1: 23,099
T2: 40,910

More to be had, just down to the tune at the moment. And the understeer of this car is atrocious, oil tankers have a better turning circle then this. 👎

Turn 1 kills me here, go in, in 6th gear, down to fifth, clip the grass, spin off into gravel and finish lap and repeat.

Lesmo 1 is very hard to judge on entry and I often end up in the gravel.

Parabolica is hard to enter as the car just won't turn in. And often when I put the foot down I'm too early and end up understeering into the gravel.

More to be had here.

Also, how do you let the leader boards know what you use between a wheel and DS3?
I use a DFGT if it helps.

Just a heads up for people who were thinking of starting on this combo later in the week: the OCD will probably change during the week, so it would be a good idea to buy the car now.

@mattymc96: just put DFGT somewhere in your signature.

First splits.

23.024
41.459

Car is all over the place still. Lots of room for time.

Justin.

Thanks for that, Jon. A trip down the ol' memory lane. Thanks to Tim for officially declaring it clean, and thereby earning my lifelong "servitude". :)

Please don't submit laps that are this close, folks. Learn from my mistakes.

I'm just about ready to destroy my ps3 over the Maserati so it's time for me to jump to a new event!

Justin

LOL i know the feeling, i messed up T1 so damn many times i just ended up smashing in to the wall and wanted to destroy my steering wheel hahaha

Welcome guys 👍

First few laps, still playing around with set-up...

22.922 :ouch:
39.990 :)

Curve Grande is still a lottery :scared:

🤬

I ran this for about 15 laps last night without any setup... looked at my split times... then came on here and thought :embarrassed: im 15-20 seconds slower!!!!

Was only running Monza with chicane!! D'oh!

Oh well...

I'll get it right tonight/tomorrow :)

23.475
42.543

I still think there is another full second I can find in there somewhere, just gonna take time.

Rumble strips that are half red and white and half green are out of bounds on the green part, Right? I don't get any red numbers when I go that deep, but want to be sure I am being completely legal.

Also, how do you let the leader boards know what you use between a wheel and DS3?
I use a DFGT if it helps.

Just put DFGT in your sig. You can see how some of us have our division, Controller and region. The Fetchbot picks that up and puts it on the board.

You are correct. Green is out of bounds, Red and White is legal.

EDK
You are correct. Green is out of bounds, Red and White is legal.

I thought so, but looking at it closely and discovering that part of the rumble strip was painted green, I thought I had better ask. Thanks!

23.053
40.456

Marginally worse T1 but 0.6 quicker at the line.

Think I will submit for this one quite soon.

So where in the "H - E double hocky sticks" is this car located so I can start my frustration as I'm frustrated looking for it ???

Thankz Speedy 👍

Man this track in this configuration is about as close to what the game will give us to what the old track in it's original design must have felt like. I just love it :) it's velvity smooth and is a real hair tester. Little is off of school today and watching him trying to catch my ghost is just the best.

I'm running from incar cam and using M/T crossing S/F at 144mph in stock configuration. Since iRacing only gives you one view and it's from the incar cam it's starting to feel natural now in GT5 also.
