Done some quick setup work after dinner and come with these splits.

Almost at full power and still loads of setup to work on so more time to found hopefully.

Anyways, here are my first splits after 5 laps, 3 of which were clean.

T1: 23.417
T2: 41.614

Still haven't tuned the car. Going to start soon, tuning 1 thing at a time.

Nice splits 👍 No idea where to go with setup on this one. Everything I've done so far seems to have little or no effect on the car's behaviour in the high speed stuff, with a marginal effect on traction out of the corners. With this little grip, I can't feel the changes.

Thanks Chris - yes I enjoy Monza although it can get a bit nervy at times. The long straights give you plenty of time to worry about where to brake

Here's my set-up at the moment. I'm still fiddling though so it might not stay like this for long. Putting my best T1 and T2 together would give me a 1'02.77, but I've only done 20 laps or so and that was for set-up work. Gearbox was two clicks to the right on the top speed setting at the bottom, and then adjust 2nd and 3rd.

Can not get my head around this

Will have to put in some serious hours I think this week to get a good time and find the right lines.

So far, haven't been under 1'06.xxx at the T2 split

So after posting my first splits earlier, I started tuning the car. I was able to get the car to maintain some really really nice drifts, but I still wasn't coming within .5 of my first set of splits. While I was doing a whole lot of this:

I saw my ghost just up ahead, and noticed something that I did not see when I first watched the replay to make sure it was clean....

I'm glad I went back and checked it after... Anyways, figured I'd better get a better lap in, since my original one was now dirty...

T1: 23.122
T2: 41.490

My settings are pretty close to stock except:
Top speed raised one notch,
Suspension changes:
RH -10/-30
ARB 3/4
Camber 2(.)8/2(.)2
Toe -(.)10/(.)20

Wonder if someone can help me with my PS3 memory problem?

I cant download the last GT5 update, so I cant go online. I had about 2/3s of the required memory needed. I deleted tons of replays and an old account I thought was taking up tons of memory and only got to about half of the memory needed.

What takes up tons of memory on the hard drive? Where can I find out whats taking up so much of my memory and get rid of it?

Would like to try this week a little but need to buy the car in the OCD first.

Try game saves. Old games that you don't have more. That's the big files I think.

They should be under 'Game Data' which is near the 'Game Save' in the XMB Menu.

Just Delete games you don't play often, or GT5 if you want a MASSIVE update..

Its GT5 thats the memory hog...super memory hog by a mile. Its 3 times bigger than the next biggest game I own. Almost ten times bigger than some of my other games that obviously needed no patches.

Matty, I already deleted the old GT5 so if its a massive new update...O well. lol

It's a massive download at 4mbps but if you live in a city you should expect 10-15 so it would be about half maybe three times quicker.. Took me 4 hours..

Upgrade to a bigger harddrive I got my 320g for about $50. Tons of how-to's on the interwebs!

Ran an hour tonight with no improvement. Maybe a little on T1 but none on t2 or thereafter.

Not quite sure how I hit my times yesterday but here they are. The best of 30 laps.

A bit disappointed after doing a hour with no improvement.. That's about 2 hours including tuning time this week what's happening to me, I never put his much time into anything
