It can't be that bad mate!:scared:

Don't you believe it Steve lad.... upon inspection, my best lap has 3 wheels off at the chicane. It's the best lap I've done by 0.2 and the best splits by 0.4... I think Monaco has defeated me I'm ashamed to say.

Yeah, my best lap (wall touch) is over .3 quicker than the posted lap.
Don't you have your next fastest lap saved?

I have a few saved - inspecting them for cleanliness... but I've not given up yet... just had to remove my "dirty" splits from the board.

I'm not quitting 'til 23.59 GMT Monday...

27.618
45.421

Sector 3 is pretty rubbish though. I keep messing up at the chicane, this combo is starting to frustrate.

I need some clarification from the stewards. I have a clean lap no problems, but I got excited and stupidly saved it as a "normal replay" :grumpy: rather than a "ghost/fastest lap replay". Now there is only 2 laps in the replay (1st is rubbish , 2nd is good lap) so it's not huge and still a valid replay, but can this still be accepted?

Edit: Have since this done a better lap. Maybe the stress of it not being accepted gave me a new sense of determination :)

Cut it down some, but I wish I could put a good three sectors together! :grumpy:

T1: 27.682
T2: 46.170

Well I'm no steward but this has happened before and it's normally no problem. If it's only two laps then it obviously isn't that much of a burden to check. Had it been a replay with 20 laps or so (yes it has happened) you would have to rely on a member with a good heart who wanted to undertake the job to check it.

It's the taking part that counts! :dopey:

Call yourself D2!? 2 minutes 9 seconds behind Josh!? Tsk tsk..... :sly:

p.s. you remarked positively about my decent T1 split about a million pages back in this thread - I didn't say anything then, but... cheers! :)

Ended up having a busy week so not had much time but had another run today:

T1: 27.404
T2: 44.915

Hopefully will have a bit more time now that the weekend is here to shave a bit more off.

T:1 27.578
T:2 44.586

I still see improvements to be made..... just hitting all the marks on the same lap... without hitting the wall= HARD!!!!!

The weirdest thing just happened to me. I was turning laps, about 40 minutes straight with no restarts or pauses, and it was like someone put a power limiter on my car. Max speed was upper 80's and couldn't reach 5th gear. Throttle meter said I was giving the car full throttle and the brakes were not engaged. Anyone else have this happen?

Congrats to the guys in the 26's and 43's , outstanding racing!

Still about 0.2 in it for me I think, but going to be hard to bring it together.
Using 50/50 , ABS 1 , Brakes 8/9.

27.249
44.257

Hehe.. no worries. :)

Yeah I suppose its the taking part that counts. I was so pleased with my 43.8xx T2 I didn't look closely enough at the replay... now I've lost the will to keep fighting the understeer and the sound of barrier collisions will haunt my dreams forever..

Bit late to be walking backwards but the best I can manage for now:

T1: 27.006
T2: 44.107

0.1 up on T1, 0.3 down on T2, but only 0.04 slower than my previous best lap, which shows just how bad my T3 was. At least this one is definitely clean anyway... about a mile away from the barriers and grabbing acres of curb on the inside at the chicane.

If I can find that 0.3 in T2 again I'll be happy.... so it looks like I'm going to end this week miserable. :dopey:

Well done everyone who survived this week and is still sane. 👍

Had you had a big crash?

Invisible wall caught me out on my faster lap, submitting my slower lap time. 👍

Phillip.

split: 26.924
split: 43.979

Slow T2 compared to what I have had before but first split better, strange thing is the lap didn't feel that great

I experienced the same thing during my first session. I admit that I crashed pretty hard and pretty often (the right door was already hanging off), but mechanical damage was turned off (I double checked). So in my later sessions I would always restart when I crashed badly.

30 minutes today and a slight improvement. :)

T1: 27.615
T2: 44.366

Will probably try a final run on monday.

I have also had the sudden power loss.

I also watched a replay and noticed the front bumper had come loose in the left side.

This is all with damage=off, it must have no effect.

So I restart ... often :scared:

What invisible walls? I have not seen them (yeah obviously), no seriously, I do not know where they are, but I suspect some fx. in the second corner (big left curve). Please enlighten!

Had you had a big crash?

Not really, your normal wall contact but no head on collisions. Mechanical damage was set to off. It just had no power. Exiting and restarting fixed the problem, some sort of glitch it seems.

Edit: I don't think this is related to the power problem but I think my PS3 is fried. I was cleaning my living room and accidentally bumped a button on my blu-ray remote, turning the PS3 on. I didn't turn it off and about 30 seconds later I heard a beep and look over and it's flashing red. Presses the power button and the red becomes solid. Hard shutoff and then try again and it does same thing, flashing red. Looks like i'm done for this WRS. Should I submit and hope a replay isn't required of me or not submit?

Here it is, very easy to catch the back end going for that wider line for the next right / left.

Comes between turns 14 / 15 Piscine pool turns

Good one, had not noticed. One more thing to look out for in replay verification :mischievous:

@Phillip - its a bugger that one... I tried to use that bit to get a swing in on my first run and have caught the back end there under braking so many times.

Talk about inconsistent...

T1: 27.084
T2: 43.903

That was inconsistent, not incontinent by the way.... but a close run thing :sly:

Didn't realize that my strike-through didn't erase my dirty splits. Back to my previous:

27.933
44.915
