I have submitted my time for my first WRS event, I am pleased enough with it. I found time in the final sector I didn't think was there, maybe if I am lucky that final sector could help push for the podium. Good luck guys. đź‘Ť

*Sigh* - Decided to have one more go before heading to bed (Early start in the morning, some geezers are driving about down under n that)

I saw a 1:11.3 (t1+t2) but had a large accident with the right-side barrier on the penultimate tight turn. Not overly amused :D

One...last...go...

Now I'm done with this one, I can't take any more of the walls!

T1: 27.211
T2: 44.797

Pretty similar t1 and t2 but a big improvement in t3. Will be submitting with this.

Also, I just noticed the leaderboard has a ? mark where it should say my division, will this sort itself out or do i need to do something?

New splits for me.

27.194
44.254

I'm happy with my time at the line, but based on my best sectors, I'm still leaving some time out there. Will try to find it before deadline time. đź‘Ť

submitted with these splits

27.211
43.560

not my best T1, but i doubt i can duplicate my T2 and T3 with a better T1

Fetchbot says I am still not registered but I race anyway. Only submitted my qualifying a few days ago.

I am totaly new to this and not a good course to start on! I will keep trying and will still have a good time regardless!

T1: 28.814
T2: 47.483

Yup..... that T2 is a sector from the gods......

All clear at the chicane? Many many times i've had an incredible T2 and PB lap, only to go back to the replay and find 3 wheels off at the chicane.

Good luck with the final result..... i've got a bad feeling that either you or Plato might pip me at the line:scared:

I will say I think I have a great last sector as I found a couple of tenths that I didn't think were there as my previous best I thought I had nailed that section.... How wrong I was :sly:

Looking at previous splits you have I need a miracle in last sector as I'm over a tenth slower than you through sector 1 and 2

Man you fellow D3rz are making it tough to sit on the side line. My top 10 is toast even though my home stretch is perdy darn fast I can't expect that it will save me from a .5 deficit. Gerrrrr I’m going to need “Hair Club For Men” when I get done with last try. This calls for a little mind bending to help me to find “the Goodness”.

Man I know I'm a rookie but I can't get near these splits you all are getting. Imay be to nervous about the walls or something, i guess there's always room at the bottom. If my time is to off everyone else's should I even bother submiting? I don't want to be called on for non participation. Sorry, it's my first week!

Yes you should submit, but you don't have to,
You don't have to participate if you don't want to either, for whatever reason.

I say you should submit as that is the best way for you and the online race administration to follow your progress.
The splits posted in the threads are a good way also but they won't tell the whole story like the way knowing the actual lap time would.
Of coarse you can follow that on your own if you prefer to, but then you wouldn't need to post at all.
So don't be intimidated by others splits and go ahead and submit if you want to.
We take 'em all. ;)

And welcome to the WRS.

Well, my PS3 died today. It was a BC 60 gig with thousands of hours on it so I'm not completely shocked but also not thrilled. My wife laughed at me and said I get more angry when I mess up a lap on WRS than I did when I realizes it was YLOD. I don't think it caused the power loss in my car that I mentioned earlier today but who knows I guess. Went out and bought a new one earlier so I will be submitting a time for this week. I have been within a hundredth of my best time already and think I can beat it tomorrow. All week T3 has been my best sector and all of a sudden I can't stay off the walls in it. We will see what happens tomorrow.

Man I really love this track, something about it just suits my driving style. I'm sure there is another 0.3 in this for me since I can gap my ghost by about 2 car lengths by the pool, but then I stuff up either the last part of T2, or first part of T3.

Getting there , just need more time :)

27.224
43.969

Finally did some better times than what I posted earlier in the week. Was darn close on the chicabe though. Let's just say that if the back of the curb was vertical instead of sloped I could be in trouble.
T1: 27.351
T2: 44.259

New splits

T1: 27.525
T2: 44.228

Have had faster T1's but this is the best T2 I have had. Could still get some tenths off but having the common problem of not being able to do my fastest sectors all in one lap.

Started getting better times when I found out that you could switch the ghost car on and off. Everytime I got near the end of a quick lap I would look to see how far back the ghost was and miss my next braking point now if i am in front I just switch it off and worry about the next turn.

Great splits nizzy. Should be a close finish between you, I and Chuk - just about 1 tenth in it on split times, so the joy of WRS T3s will be in full effect :)

I Concur with turning the ghost off, I do that almost immediately - particularly at Monaco because it's so tight and being able to see your turn and braking points is even more essential.

For those who use the DS3 - you just press "up" on the d-pad (Or I do anyway!) - you can always re-map it in the button setup too.

My T3 is terrible, so I'm not expecting much there. Even my t2 is deceptive, because I hit the chicane right, but had missed the entry on the corner before. :grumpy:
Lame week for me. I love the combo, but could only muster about four hours. I've been a driving slut this week, I'll admit it. Many combos, many tracks! My immense thanks to both Kenny and Jake for providing the best of racing!

So many Passions. So little Time.

Racing On!!!

I just cannot get to grips with this combo, so I've submitted and am not expecting to do at all well in the results. Good luck guys, there are some stellar splits being posted.

The time I have submitted I may have to withdraw and go with a time 2 tenths slower, A rewind feature is really needed in this game for the replays as I watched and paused the lap loads of times to see if I had gone through the chicane without the left sided tires dropping to the tarmac. I know my front tire is mostly on the tarmac but part of it is on the rumble strip, is that deemed as clean or dirty, a bit worried about it as I don't want to be classed a cheat in my first WRS event. I would put up a picture for you all but I am not very clued up on how to do it.

Can someone give there opinion, will it be classed as a clean or dirty lap?

Thanks for any help with this.

Without seeing a picture, I can't tell you if it was clean or dirty. What I can say, is that the rumble strips are considered part of the track. Therefore, the rumble strip and racing tarmac are considered one in the same.. hope this helps.

From the rules posted for this track from page 1:

- 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
- Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track

As what I seem to have seen in the past, as long as both wheels are touching any part of the "track," its legit.

If this doesn't answer your question, you might want to either post a pic, or submit a time for a lap you are sure is clean.
