GTP_WRS (GT5) Week 6 : 2011 Rally of Monaco

The weirdest thing just happened to me. I was turning laps, about 40 minutes straight with no restarts or pauses, and it was like someone put a power limiter on my car. Max speed was upper 80's and couldn't reach 5th gear. Throttle meter said I was giving the car full throttle and the brakes were not engaged. Anyone else have this happen?

That happened to me! I couldn't believe it..I quit out and came back in, and it was fine though. It's like 4th just wouldn't hit the redline at all, and I maxed out at 130kph or so..

I managed to get an awesome run earlier - beat my PB by over 0.5 seconds, but was using my standard account, and not my GTP_ account! Any chance I can submit it ? Please?

I know the feeling. Gave it a try today to better an earlier T1 to no avail. Time for me to step away for a bit.

I decided on classifying my previous lap dirty here are the new splits for now.

Not as fast as previous lap but it should be clean

After my first post saying how much I enjoyed this combo, that enjoyment rapidly turned to frustration having not made any improvements with a clean lap.

Finally got some better splits this evening...enjoyment restored

I'm done with this week.... far from happy with my performance which is probably my worst so far. Never settled into a rhthym and it all just felt too desperate - like the car is driving me around rather than being in control.

0.3 off my best T2 but still up 0.1 at the line.

Oh well, I had a good session last night with a alien (for me) lap though my best sectors tell me I have maybe 3 - 4 tenths in it still. Not going to do it. Too frustrating - submitted so I'm not tempted anymore!

Your never say die attitude impresses me to no end Chris. I'd say both you and Plato will have me, as I left Monaco days ago, and I ain't paying for another airfare and accommodation to go back and try again!

What torque splits do you all use? I'm just curious since I have no problems keeping up to T1 but it is rare indeed for me to do the second sector in the 43s

I spent another couple of hours at this yesterday night and I managed to improve quite a lot. Here are my new splits:-

I will probably have a final session today, as I know I can go a little faster still.

I am using 45/55 mate. And 4/7 brake balance. Hope that helps.
