Without seeing a picture, I can't tell you if it was clean or dirty. What I can say, is that the rumble strips are considered part of the track. Therefore, the rumble strip and tarmac are considered one in the same.. hope this helps.

So in your opinion as a small part of the tire is on the rumble strip would you say that is clean?

@GTP_Plato

Like you I have a quicker lap that I am literally catching the rumble strip at the chicane with the left front, by a whisker. Having watched it though, it's a little too close for comfort and I'm not submitting the lap because like yourself, I'm fairly new to WRS and want to submit 100% clean laps at this point. Provided your slightly slower time still ranks well in your division, why not be safe than sorry? If your pace is good I'm sure you'll do well again next week...and after that...and so on.

I'm currently a shade in front in Div3 but I'd rather someone beats me, than submit my 'doubtful' lap and run the risk of a DQ!.

Just my take on it 👍

On my replay I can clearly see that a fraction of the tire is on the strip, whats annoying me the most is that I know I have a great final sector that I will not be able to repeat in a hurry, plus I have already submitted that time, if needed can I re run it and submit a new time, Don't really want to until I have had some more feedback about my lap.

2 points about your post.
As others know, in the past I have spent nearly an hour to prove someone's lap was clean or dirty here at Monaco.
I do not look forward to this weeks replays as many will be close and to find the exact location for a photo can take time, sometimes a lot of time.

So point 1, if you are sure it is clean (2 wheels on track) as described by redreevos then submit it.
Which brings me to the 2nd point, you really only need to submit once, after you are done running the combo.........for the week, not each day or hour.

So please indulge me/us with a photo of the exact location of your close call.
You seem to be behind the PS3 many hours a day, so time is not an issue and a photo would help your cause, ease your worries and let others see how close you are :)

Point 3...........slow down, man. 👍

Hey, gonna run a few laps tonight, cheers;)
And the big guns start to show up.
Hi Dan.

I'm having fun with the combos that Kevin has dreamed up.
We have a bunch of new members and they are forthcoming with banter and info for the others.

I was a bit surprised at your first placing but I see you have a new wheel and now are ready for some hotlapping.
D1 looks somewhat empty of past members and it's good to see some of them back.

Other than that, all is good.

Hey hows it going;) It's good to be back in the WRS, with a new G27 to utilize.

Here's a good idea Dan.... how about you wait till next week's challenge and start fresh:tup:

That way i can hold onto a podium overall:sly:

Great to see an aussie and a kiwi in the top 3.
The Aussie boys are tearing this comp apart.
Ill get back into this next week.

27.602
45.064

1.1 seconds improvement at the line. Typical because I have now got within 3 tenths of that time at least ten times in a row.:banghead:

A rewind feature is really needed in this game for the replays as I watched and paused the lap loads of times to see if I had gone through the chicane without the left sided tires dropping to the tarmac. I know my front tire is mostly on the tarmac but part of it is on the rumble strip, is that deemed as clean or dirty, a bit worried about it as I don't want to be classed a cheat in my first WRS event. I would put up a picture for you all but I am not very clued up on how to do it.

Can someone give there opinion, will it be classed as a clean or dirty lap?

Thanks for any help with this.

Yeah rewind and slowmotion would be lovely, but then I will not repeat this thread, we have to do with photomode. You start it when you have paused the replay (button at bottom right), there you can look at the car from all angles, take a photo and upload for review.

I also have a few laps that I have studied to death, and have concluded that the front left wheel can not possibly have lost contact with the rumble strip. But without rewind and frame stepping there is no way to prove clean, only unclean. And that amount of inspection means I am in doubt, and doubt = no submit.

Remember we review each others' replays, and if I needed X time to be reasonably sure, I am putting the same burden on the reviewer.

I take a video of the replay with my camera and then just look at that frame by frame. It's only 30fps (maybe even 20!), but it more than does the job. That's probably the easiest way to do it, as I'd imagine most people can take a video with either their phone or a camera.

I actually looked at this with photo mode, but the problem was pausing it at the right moment, it took so many attempts. I can see from a certain angle that a fraction of the tire is still on the rumble strip, thats why I asked around on the thread to find out other peoples opinions on whether it was clean or not, as I have no clue how to put a picture up on this site for your opinions.

I submitted this time last night, if I am not sure about it can I submit an older time that is slower which will override this one?

In photomode when you have found your camera placement, press X, then you get into the actual picture-taking mode, press X a few more times and and you end up with a jpg saved in Photo Album, where you can "export" to the PS3, and from there to USB. Yes it is an exercise in pointlessness . Upload to some site and the use the "Insert Image" button when writing a post.

Latest submit overrides previous so no problem.

*Sigh*

I just ran a Twenty-Seven-1 / Fourty-Four-1 and was quicker at the line by a good few car lengths - watched the replay back and...well, it's a close call, again. I dare not submit it, so will stick with what I've got.

I *think* I give up now, but we'll see :)

Great splits nizzy. Should be a close finish between you, I and Chuk - just about 1 tenth in it on split times, so the joy of WRS T3s will be in full effect :)

THanks. It took a fair amount of time to get. Had a 2 hour run last night and then I started telling myself "one more lap" after another 2 hours that was the best time I had managed. My T1 could have been quicker and my T3 was ok but was most impressed with my T2. Yes it is going to be very close this week

My T3 is terrible, so I'm not expecting much there. Even my t2 is deceptive, because I hit the chicane right, but had missed the entry on the corner before. :grumpy:
Lame week for me. I love the combo, but could only muster about four hours. I've been a driving slut this week, I'll admit it. Many combos, many tracks! My immense thanks to both Kenny and Jake for providing the best of racing!

Only fours hours this week, good times from that. It feels like I have done 104 and i'm only .004 in front. I am hoping your T3 is as poor as you say to give me a chance.

T1: 27.181
T2: 44.572

Haven't had as much time as normal this week so quite happy with that. Addictive combo though so might have more more go before submitting if time permits.

Not sure if the replay checking is going to be very enjoyable this week though. :boggled:

Time submitted with posted splits. I had the game freeze a few times this week, which it hasn't done since the academy. Hopefully, it won't happen again. For now, I'm off to Eiger. Good luck, everyone!
Race on!

Still so much to learn on this track, so I gave it one more shot. Bad T3 but still better overall. Not satisfied. Never.

T1: 27.114
T2: 43.914
