WOW that was the fastest friend approval I have ever had

If you are using your GTP_Tag account and you are friends with 3D3 racing, you don't need to do anything.

If you are using an alternate account, or if you are not friends with 3D3_Main, then you need to send a request to 3D3_C.

Actually, if you are using GTP_LeftyWright you are good to go as you are already on the 3D3 Raning list đź‘Ť
It's only if you are not on any list, or have to use your non-GTP event for this race that a new request is required for 3D3_C.

Edit: Tree'd by Kevin, almost verbatim

I accepted the friend request from Lefty to "C" anyway, friendly guy deserves a friendly list. :dopey: He still won't get double credit though. :sly:

Going for 1.9XX tonight... Want to get that in the bank so I can shift focus to the online race for Wednesday.

The time I did yesterday, within 2 tenth from my best one (pre-announcement):

1'32.560

There is still space for improvement, looking at other D2ers :)

Love the track, did lots of lan racing on it in the GT4 period.

Send the request for my time,

1'32.436

Ok, went out and had a quick burrito for lunch and look what I found after returning:

34.187, 30.733, 27.058
1'31.978

I lost about a tenth in each of the 2nd and 3rd sectors as I was nervous being up that much on my ghost. I think 1.7XX looks feasible and that would break me into the Top 100 in the US (for now at least).

my time current ranking brazil 3th 1.32.150 GT_GRANFER100-PR :sly:

1'32.153 but only..... 102nd in Italy :dopey:

... and previously pre-announcement beaten.
Had a similar run 10 minutes ago but eat 2 tenths in last corner :ouch:
Fortunatly wasn't too tired to retry.

Thanks guys, I'm lucky to live in the Netherlands.:)
You guys have a lot tougher competition, only the best 8 in our country go to the nationals though.

Now first by 1 thousand with a 1'31.079 :sly:

Have a look at the first post. We're not requiring you to use your GTP_Account this week, understanding that some people use alternate accounts for GT Academy. Just send a friend request for GTP_3D3_C from the account you are using to compete. đź‘Ť

Thanks Kev, I read the first post correctly, but I figured I'll just use my GTP account since I still needed to blast through them to get the cars. :D

Edit: Beat my main accounts fast lap (which took me a while to get in the first place) on my 2nd lap.

Awesome stuff Wes! đź‘Ť

I have a question. What if I can't beat my pre announcement time. I'm not understanding why we can't use our times before the announcement. Thanks.

You can run the time on a different account and submit.

We all decided before posting the event that we would want submissions to be times that were run after the posting of this thread.

I really did not anticipate a lot of people not being able to improve at all over the final week of the event.

Small improvement tonight gets me to

1'32.719

Starting to get a much better feel for the car, and how to manage brakes going into the turns to get it to rotate. Now just need to avoid some of those pesky cones and I should be able to shave quite a bit off of this.

I set a 1'32.9XX just the other day and hope it was after this opened. Will add 3D3 later.

After hitting about ten 32 flats today I finally broke into the 31's again, but just barely...

Splits: 34.224, 30.791, 26.915
1'31.930

At the moment 95th in the US.

Finally getting the hang of it. Lots more time left out on the track!

Al

Well, that replay bug is just the greatest. At least I didn't have to fully restart the system compared to when it happens in GT5.

I was a little worried that I wouldn't beat my earlier time, but managed it last night. Sent FR to GTP_3D3_C.

1'33.977

Sent FR to both GTP_3d3racing and GTP_3d3_c, I hope it's okay, I got 1:34.759 on 16 June 2012, is this eligible for WRS ? I only saved the normal replay not the best lap, the time that needs to posted to WRSFetchbot is the fastest lap time right ?

Your lap needs to have been run after the exact time this thread was posted, which was 6 PM in my time zone (PST). Not sure which time zone you are in, but that's equivalent to 1 AM GMT on Sunday the 17th.

In the event we need to check your replay, a full lap replay is not technically valid. It really should be a ghost replay.

That said, I don't think we have the data logger available (one of the reasons we normally require the ghost) and we do have the FF feature now. So as long as your lap is not from well into a ridiculously long run, we can probably make an exception on the replay file type.

If you post your splits in this manner

x'xx.xxx

Separated from the rest of your text, the Fetchbot will grab it and put it on the board. You also have to send the PM to Fetchbot as your final submission.

Well I beat my previous lap time, just.;)

1'31.837

A low 31.6 should be possible but I just can't do it, story of the last few weeks really.:ouch:

I'll send the friends request shortly.:)

I think I did it on second lap, but I'd just checked the time of the replay, apparently I did the run early in the morning of 16 June 2012, oh well, maybe I'll do some more run to beat my own time and then post it here.

Heh, I'm in the same boat. Don't have too much GT5 time this week and couldn't beat my fast lap in my last couple sessions. Oh well, it wasn't that fast anyway.
