Okay, I just did another lap after watching a very nicely done video tutorial by Tidgney:tup: I beaten my old time by half a second in the 1st lap, 1'34.228 with lots of room for improvement
Looking at Ramon's lap its pretty much perfect and I cant really see anywhere where he could improve, I think that could be the top time at the end of the week. I cant seem to get anywhere near my own time anymore, Its a case of just being in the zone and hoping that you nail every corner
James, really good time yourself... 8th in the world!! In my dreams. I made it a goal of mine to be within a second of your time and I just made it there last night.
Really cool watching that leaderboard and being able to say I've been on track with some of those guys. James, Mark, Wes, Adam, Kyle (sorry if I missed anyone)... I'm cheering for all of you.
I guys!, I just sent the friend request to GTP_3D3_C from my main account (GTRA_Gerchu) because I don't have enought time to do all GT Academy Rounds in my GTP account. Really sorry for that but, as I said, I don't have time to expend it on the GTA. Tomorrow is the Argentinian Flag Day so I have no go to work & college neither & I hope expend the day on the GTA (If the family let me )
Unbelieve Ramon's lap! He almost touch the cones at the end of 1st chicane!
Well done w-g-e; UsualSuspect; Manuelos; & v-Twissy-v (He's the twissy twissy, right? )
Well guys, I hope have made the right things as the OP said but my English is so....
Well, this is my time:
Thought I'd do the events to get up to this and give a it a few laps to see... Remembered one thing anyway - I was always bloody hopeless at Motegi. After 5 laps I'd only just managed to get the gold time and was still almost a full 5 seconds slower than Ramon.... ... and its not just because my back hurts.
Well done everyone who is running this. I mean everyone, not just the top guys, although James, Wes et al have put in some amazing times.... this is an exercise in extreme patience and dedication, far more than I have to spare. Good luck to you all, particularly the guys fighting to get through to the next round. I'm out of it and pretty disgusted by both my lack of pace and lack of willpower to try and improve, if I'm honest.
Was only able to get a couple laps in this morning but managed that one on my first lap of the day. I'm way out of the zone right now but I think I'll get faster with the TCS off...
Managed to find quite a bit tonight, after watching a replay to learn some tricks and then applying that and what I learned last night. Finally fell like I have good control of the car, and this lap felt really nice. I improved my prior fast, and then made 2 more improvements in this session grabbing a total of 0.363.
Had a day off today so I woke up early, built myself a quick rig for my wheel and spent all day at this. Improved by less than a couple hundredths. Was hoping for a better time to improvement ratio. Don't know if I will get much more chance with the wheel but I'll keep hacking away with the DS3 until the end. Really like the car and the track...except for the cones of course.
Sorry for asking the stupid question in the thread instead of PM but am I on the "3D3 Racing list"? I know I sent friend requests to some 3D3 tags but I am unsure about that particular one.
EDIT: Yes, your GTP_Anghammarad account is on the friends list for the main account, GTP_3D3Racing, so all you have to do it post your lap times in the thread. 👍
I'm sure one of them will fill you in, but check out over [post=235296]here[/post] in the meantime. Long story short, some very well run events by 3 fellows (who so happened to be in div. 3 at the time) became the Weekly Race Series Online events; the GTP_3D3_Racing, GTP_3D3_A-C are accounts managed by the event admins solely for the purpose of being common public lounges to hold the races in.
Also, I finally managed to get a second crack at it:
I inferred the correct time from your prior update that this was a 1'33 lap, not a 1'13 lap. Unless you've found some way of cutting the track that we don't know about?
