Bugger...

Going to have to see if I can get some more seat time and try and wrestle that tenth back off you! Nice splits. Would like to think I can catch Ash and Mcfizzle, but I can't see that happening...

It's never over till untill the final times are posted. T3's the import one.
Haha!

Yes, your right.... Big typo! Oops! Was meant to be 42.1xx. I wish I could see a 41.1!

:dunce:

 Perhaps you overdosed on that wonderful Hockins ice cream you have In the South West.

I'll give It a rip later Lefty.

You Div3 guys are nuts this week. I thought I could match some of the times posted, but it seems not :(

T1: 42.294
T2: 25.323

I haven't seen anything lower than a 20x and 19x for the first two sectors, so I'm a bit off the pace, haven't felt that comfortable this week - s'taken an awful long time to even get here!

Still - bit more time to go, I usually have a miracle lap in me in the last few days :)

Fantastic times McFizz, Ash, Chuk, Carlos, Addictions & MisterWeary - definitely over achieving!

I'll trade a tenth in T1 and T2 for .6 at the line, please.

42.404
25.493

I have big problems with this combo which I find a bit strange since I normally am relatively competitive with both slippery tyres and FF cars. Anyway, managed a lucky lap, normally I have troubles getting below 1'07.8XX at T2.

42.153
25.180

New Splits

42.071
25.001

Two tenths quicker across the line, but I seem to have lost the line I had through the hammerhead, so there is costing me a tenth.

How fast are people going through the tyres?

I have had 91mph when I get the follow through spot on but most of the time between 89-90mph

91mph for me on occasion, you have to pick the turn spot perfect though to clip the red/whites without redding up the lap and not too late so you run on the grass.

It's a bugger to get it right - particularly when sub 1'07.5 for T1+T2!

The follow through can make or break the lap, like you said you have to clip the red and white lines. I also think the last two corners can make or break a lap, I was struggling to beat a time I originally had and then found nearly two tenths. still time to be found though. It's amazing how competitive this week seems to be, a lot of people are finding great splits through T1 and T2 especially the lower divisions.

Do you guys get off the gas going into that right hander? I usually have to otherwise I end up in the grass. I'll check my speed at the tires later.

No I don't let off, there is a certain turn in point which allows you to take it flat out, if I could get sector 1 and 2 right, I have a chance of beating my lap time. I think I got through T3 pretty fast though. Check your speed on your best lap and let me know what your doing anything less than 90mph you will be loosing valuable time all the way up to the last few turns.

I don't, it took me about 15 tries but i managed to cut it just so I don't get red lapped or end up in the grass (I do have TCS: 2)

That's spot were I'm probably losing valuable time. T3 is going to kill me this week. I hit the start of the tires at 89 on my posted lap.:ouch:

Arrghh,

I don't believe the penalty system on this game it's terrible. I just beat my lap time by half a tenth and went to save the replay, it decided to save a previous lap where the whole car is clearly off the track in the second to last corner.

PD need to sort this 🤬 out :grumpy:

@ Mcfizzle

Is your T3 that bad, if you are not doing this already take the second to last corner in 3rd, a lot faster imo.

I take it flat. You should be doing 83mph as you turn hard to the right and then I start to ease the left-analog back towards the centre when I feel like I can, to start accelerating again - there is a sweet spot where you avoid the grass by a good margin, but you have to run the red-clocking really close on the red/whites on the inside of the follow through - you can put about 1/4 of the car onto that part I would say, which is well within the WRS rules as the whole left part of the car is still well on the track - if it comes off you'll be able to stop putting full-right lock on as early as poss which gives you 91mph past the tyres.

I manage this maybe 2/10 tries - although probably 1/50 tries I actually get to that point in the lap :sly::crazy::ouch:

Well, until we see the results I guess I won't know how bad it really is. I think it's okay but I know that I've had T3's 2 tenths faster than what I ran in my best lap. I'm just never satisfied with my laps completely you know.

2/10 times huh, that's why I stopped trying it, the chances of getting it right on a fast lap weren't very good.

Same here, I have run 2 tenths faster but got red time on the follow through :grumpy:

T1: 42.592
T2: 25.606
This is my first attempt at the weekly races, thought it was about time i had a go. I don't really know the track that well so I've defiantly got a bit of time left to get.

This is only my 3rd WRS after doing quite badly in the first 2. Decided to invest in a steering wheel to see if that helped (never had a gaming wheel before) and have gone for the DFGT. I have been practicing hard, trying to get used to the use of my feet. Feels very strange when you don't actually experience any G-force to gauge how much to brake, steer etc. as you would in real life but gradually i found myself getting closer to my DS3 times. Now going to have to learn how to use the paddle gears as i have never done that before either. Anyway here are my times using the DFGT.

T1: 42.715
T2: 25.753

Welcome to WRS! :)
I know that I still like to try different views to help me adjust faster when I change cars, just to give me a visual guide to g-forces. Every car can be so different. Good luck on the track! 👍

New splits. I know I can do a better t3, but Hammerhead and I have this issue!:banghead:
T1: 42.153
T2: 25.198

Racing On!

Just had another go at it and i'm defiantly getting more of a feel for the car on this track,
T1: 42.413
T2: 25.208

I've finally hit a faster clean lap!!!!

New splits:

T1: 42.095
T2: 25.368

Apollo, I'm with you, can't seem to break that .3XX barrier in T2 :(

Between work and doing taxes, found a little time to try this.......really hate this track and never have watched the TV show, but I support WRS! :)

Left at least .5 on the track but doubt I will have the time or patience to fight this combo this weekend.

T1: 42.851
T2: 25.745

-

41.757
25.127 :ouch:

but still .105 faster at the line. :)

I got a feeling this time trial is going to have a fair bit to do with the last sector, obviously good splits are needed in the other sectors but I have found crazy time in T3.

Great T1 you have, whats the secret. :sly:
