Very happy with this lap:

T1: 42.390
T2: 25.181

Submitting now...DS3 FTW :sly:👍

Div3 is properly hard this week. I've got a bit more time in me yet though - will hopefully be inspired by the F1 qualifying and put in a good shift this weekend :)

Great going D3 chaps! Bravo!

T1: 42.296
T2: 25.324

Have done all 3 sectors at least a tenth quicker, but can only ever do 2 of them in the same lap :banghead:

Poor little car...

New Splits

42.115
25.036

Have a faster overall time from a previous lap

Just a question, but when submitting your final time does it have to match up with the splits on the board, or don't you have to post your splits as long as you have submitted a final time?

Hi all, first WRS session and it's great fun. Won't be able to compete every work due to heavy work and family commitments, but will be on when I can. Anyway, here's my splits for this week...

42.197
25.326

Your splits don't have to match from the leaderboard to the submitted lap, but they are used during replay verification as a reference point. You wouldn't want to be found posting bogus splits just to move up the leaderboard, nor do you want to "sandbag" divisional opponents by understating your speed. It's a kind of the "Spirit of the rules" thing.

Welcome Carlos!

I could probably run a faster T1, this isn't a complaint by any means. I came from FM3 when GT5 came out because Forza was a big let down in my opinion, but one thing it did have going for it was a great penalty system. For instance if you as much as dipped a tire inside a turn it would invalidate your lap, this is the reason I think I am struggling to over cut the second corner (Chicago). I do have two tires just inside the line but only really just after the entry of the turn and don't do it all the way around that turn to gain a better exit. Maybe I need to get out of this habit and just play this game how everybody else is playing it.

This isn't a stab at any of you as you are all playing by the rules set, I am just the stubborn type that if I feel something is wrong, I won't do it because that is not the way I have been shown on other racing games how to play them.

If I start slipping down the leaderboards any further then I may have to resort to it this week just to keep pace with you guys.

Good luck to all this week 👍

T1: 42.380
T2: 25.310

not much better on the first two sections, but improved a great deal on the third, now just get that perfect lap.... I like this track. Hated it before!

@ Plato:I think you'll find that the fastest drivers are usually incredibly clean drivers. Some cars and/or tracks may require leaving just two tires on a rumble strip to get all the speed you can, but almost always the fastest time looks so easy and clean that it seems anyone could have driven it. Your lap and driving style sounds a lot like mine. I try to keep the whole car on the track at all times, and only when it becomes obvious that I need to cut a corner will I do so.
The chicane at Monaco is a good example of when my fastest time only had two wheels on the rumble. Usually I try to avoid that, but not there.

Hey Chuk - just saw your splits on the LB - amazing T1! Did you fall asleep for T2 though? ;)

Glad someone out there is like me 👍

As for sand bagging thats not for me, I am really hoping for a promotion when it comes down to promotions, as some people think I should be a little bit higher up. I hope my times and the overall podium at monaco will help in me moving up, time will tell. If I can be competitive and get a good result for this TT hopefully it will help my cause for promotion.

I have some new splits.

T1: 42.237
T2: 24.917

I will probably have one final session on Monday, as my T1 could be a little better and maybe my T3 as well. Of course I am very happy with T2, I was probably a bit lucky the game didn't red flag it but it is clean.

A horrible T3 made this lap only slightly better than my previous best.
But now I have a good ghost to chase in T1+T2!
This was with standard ABS 1 F/R = 5/5.

Nice splits.👍

@Plato:

The other thing to consider when it comes to driving on rumble strips/outside of the track, is to have a look at how the pros do it in real life.

Take for instance Formula 1, I can think of several tracks and several corners where they will only drive on the outside of the track, even sometimes compactly off the track, because it is the faster line. For example, at monza, the exit of the last chicane before parabolica, F1 drivers go virtually all the way off the track to the right because they are getting a straighter line and faster exit speed.

But, if you where to do this in GT, I'm pretty sure without running it again, that we would get red lapped for it. There are some inconsistencies between Real Life racing lines and that of GT.

T1: 42.531
T2: 25.275

Question: does the black strips count as hard surface? Maybe it was explained before but didn't see it

A little bit more improvement, finally made it into the '42s for T1- barely though.

42.965
25.493

42.682
25.482

Bringing down my time is not going fast but it is fun driving.

T1: 43.064
T2: 25,501

Really struggling with getting my times down and keeping it clean. Have seen 41.1xx several times and many 1'07.2xx but can't keep it consistent! :(

Back to the drawring board!

Only .017 up at the line but every little helps.
T1 42.407
T2 25.257

New splits:

T1: 042.219
T2: 0'24.966

I've been over a tenth faster at T2 but the lap was one hundredth slower at the line.
On this lap went to wide at Chicago, costing me some time.

This has been approved as clean.

Your splits don't have to match from the leaderboard to the submitted lap, *snip*

What he said. 👍

Splits from last night session.
No real improvement in splits but quite a bit at the line.

42.509
25.590

Buses were a lot easier this time around!

First splits (although I saved best lap replay not ghost lap replay - will have to set a new - and better! - laptime to be official i suppose...)

T1: 43.407
T2: 26.486

Looks like I've got some work to do!
