Hopefully this helps anyone, or maybe this is just my imagination??? But I always do my first couple of sessions with ABS=0, it's most likely a personal preference but I feel that it helps me determine tire threshold, a feel for the brake pedal, and eventually a "correct" brake balance more easily. Once I'm pleased I set ABS=1, and adjust BB (most of the time the rear). For example last week (wk7) I did my first sessions with F5/R3/ABS0, and my final sessions ended up with F5/R7/ABS1.

So far this week I'm using F4/R2/ABS0, my guess is that my final runs this week will be with F4/R2~4/ABS1.

Anyway like I said before it's all personal preference...

Ran my fastest lap but completely bungled T3.

T1: 0'42.509
T2: 0'25.055

I have no idea how to go so fast at T1? after a 2nd session and my best is still only a 42.103 but have had 24.9's for 2nd sector? I gotta be running the wrong track :dunce:
I'll be lucky to dip into the 41's at T1 did I miss an upgrade or a wing addition :P

Screaming fast guys I'm in awe :scared:

Again with the middle of the night, guys. :sly:

Zoky's splits were put up at 2:41 am my local time, then all the responses around 4 am.

Can someone post a pic of the spot of the corner in question with the 2 wheels over the line? Just want to make sure I understand it correctly.

Morning Kevin, you are late. :sly:

So, you have a red clock already in your pics.

At what point does the game red clock this corner? 3 wheels inside the red and white line, or are you able to just straight line the corner? 2 wheels inside the line is fine, as if the case for any WRS. (As long as there are no invisible barriers and the time is not red clocked).

According to the game, Rudi's clock wouldn't go red in any of those pics. Only if he one cuts the very beginning of that red/white line.

Thanks for the pics Rudi! now i see the hidden driving line I never saw before :sly: will have to see if my old fashioned keeping 2 within the white lines policy can be scrapped for this one event and maybe I can get upto speed with the other fast lane drivers :indiff:

Man I’m getting a headache trying to follow this investigation on the line through that corner. Do we follow the path of the turn or not, man come on guys am I not reading something correctly or are we suppose to cut that corner?

I just want to make sure, we can have 2 wheels inside the line, but no more, correct? I have been treating those lines as the edge of the track even though it is pavement. I don't want to put myself at a disadvantage.

Upgraded my sound system to 5.1, set the speakers to the perfect places and calibrated them...
So a new GT5 session, new splits

T1: 42.724
T2: 25.411

To me, it looks pretty obvious that the red and White rumble strip is the edge of the track, not the White line down the middle of the runway!!!

Therefore, Rudis pics would DQ him as he is hugely cutting the racing line and the track!

Most people on here I imagine watch the show, so most people should already know the lines and the track. And that, IN MY OPINION, is not track!

I would consider this...........

To be subject to this rule -

First Post
  • You are expected to follow the general track line indicated by the driving line. Run some laps with this line on to become familiar with the track line.
  • The game will red clock your time for going outside of most track boundaries. However, it's expected that you do not exploit any loopholes that may exist.
You need to keep at least 2 wheels to the left of that (Red and White) line. Don't straightline the corner.

I don’t’ know how many people drive w/ the driving line on like I do (Team Jerry’s Kids) but it shows going around the corner and matches the arc of the red and white turn line.

I just clarified it in the post above yours. Does that tell you what you need to know?

Thanks EDK

Exactly what I wanted to hear. 👍

Zoky come on, your obviously one of the fastest respected drivers on this game. Surely you can start again and still be one of the top few drivers by the end of the week. It's pretty obvious straight lining that corner when asked for your replay you would of got the red flag treatment. I am sure most of us on here are amazed at the times you and the other top guys get week in week out which pretty much makes my point of you still being top or near the top at the end of the week. Theres no need to give up just because of the ruling.

Okay, not sure if my current splits are clean based on the clarification, but I for one WAS exploiting that loophole.

Back to work...

New splits from the lap I'd submit if I had to right now.
T1: 42.264
T2: 25.619

The ghost I'm chasing is three tenths faster at t2, but not clean at the end. I've gotten my t3 solidly faster, so I know I can catch it and stay ahead. Still have work to do to catch the division leaders, though. 👍

Racing On!

Better splits:
T1: 41.871
T2: 25.101

Bad last sector.
