Its definalty a tricky car to drive, but it feel better on sport medium on Monza than it felt on sport hard on the 'ring :D

There was a review of it with Tiff Needle i think its in fifth gear episode where they didnt like the car, it was too unpredictable, may be thats because of the tires option..?

Heres the test lol

Some new splits

31.037
38.099

Possibly the last splits for me unfortunalty :(

I'm guessing he didn't have the traction control on. Top gear loved it..until Jeremy took issue with the 'fun factor' :)
Ridiculously fast hotlap at the end of the video!

Here's a fantastic look inside the McLaren Facility. I loved it when the technician joked that NASA probably looked up to them, not the other way around 👍

WOW! Love it! I am having fun drifting this wonderful car around the corners and must say it's very difficult to stop this beast! My feet are sore from the last TT! My splits from my 1st try are........

32.175
39.469

Al

31.484
38.519

Seen several 2s to T1 so therotically can still go lower. I just knocked 5 tenths off at the line so it isnt gonna be easy beating this lap.:)

Yeah looks like its not the same car almost, or there was a reason it was not performing as well in fifth gear video. Thx for posting them!

Good start Welsh_Don! :)

Tough one Lucas! Needed a couple laps to learn how to keep it on track. Reminded me a bit of the one I put up with the 350Z. :)

Anyway, these are my first splits.

31.556
38.925

Edit:
31.536
38.474
Lost .2 in the last sector compared to my previous best lap.

Don't know if I'll be able to do some more during the rest of the week...
Very addictive though. 👍

Nice documentary, cheers for posting it. I dont think gt5 has done the breaking system that mclaren keep talking about, but then again the real car is suppose to have a very advance traction control which might be hard for gt5 to simulate

I suppose that the fact the car was still in development at the time they released GT5 would have something to do with it aswell...

Tyre choice would probably make a huge difference to the car's behaviour... but I hadn't thought about TC. :dunce: Never use it in GT5 though, it costs alot of time.
Possibly the last splits for me...
Busy week again Mike? Shame that... maybe you'll squeeze in another session before the end...? :sly:

And nice start Welsh_Don (is it Nigel?)

Found some of that pace in sector 2 again:

31.081
37.929

I have seen a few low 31.0s for sector 1 so I'd like one of them to go with a 37.9 sector 2 (or a .8 :sly:). Not a bad last sector but 0.1 down on my best so far and I'm pretty sure I'm not maximising Parabolica yet.

Hey Jack - nice to see you running one. 👍

Yeah we have a huge job to deliver at the shop it was stuck in machining but they finaly had the "go" so we have a lot of overtime to compensate , i have employees to manage(sorry cant find the right words) and i have to be there.

I will for sure try to run again though its a nice combo. :)

Had a 30,977 yesterday hoping to recreate that with a better 2nd split hopefully.

Have a good day! :)

Hey Jack - nice to see you running one. 👍

Thanks Chris. Im knocking on wood that I will be able to keep on going this week.

Your really tearing it up. Did last week as well. I know you particapate and submit alot and that makes getting promoted very hard but seems to me you deserve a silver behind your name now I think at the least. Dont seem right a D1B competing head to head with D1Gs. Silvers yeah that seems right but not bronzes.:)

This combo is actually turning Monza into a fun track for me... never thought I'd say that ;)

31.284
38.482

Appreciate that Jack but my performances are not always consistent and it only takes a couple of bad handicap results to knock you back.... I'm where I should be all things considered but I am going to keep pushing and hope for that step up to Silver will come at some point. :) I've been lucky with combos recently - the F1 at Spa (nuff said), the Fairlady Z car I loved its handling, and last week - both car and track have been good to me in the past. And now this week, again with a tail happy car that suits my style.

Good luck anyway - hope you stick with it. 👍

Busy busy indeed. Hope it goes smoothly mate. 👍

When I first saw you'd done a 30.9 I thought I'd never match that but I'm getting a good rhythm going with this torque monster now and have started dipping in there myself. :)

30.979
38.031

Lost that tenth in sector 2 being too lively on the throttle exiting the chicane and was then too cautious through Ascari... but nailed Parabolica. Only up 0.02 at the line with a possible 3 tenths still out there.

I have to say Lucas, inspired choice of tyres. 👍 And yeah Christophe, reminiscent of your Z combo at Monza no chicane - I intend to have a clean lap to submit this week though... :sly:

Glad you've come around Chris. :D At first I thought I must've upset the D1 gods. But I'd just blame Marc as the combo was sorta his idea. Online, at least.

And yes, Christophe, it does feel quite like MonZa with a Z, where Jon pipped me for 1st in D2, so yeah, I kinda like this kind of combo.

Pretty sure I'll have no actual time to put in a good lap, but maybe I'll just use this as one of those submit-no-matter-what opportunities, like I used to do in D4. 👍

well done mate! you are on fire, Good to see you got the hang of T1! 👍 :dopey:
I will really have to hurry when/if i'll get back behind the wheel :scared: haha

T2 will offer me a good challenge, couldnt seen the best way to take the 2 right hand turns last time, was kinda confused yesterday seeing how i couldnt even improve at least one attempt.., the first chicane of T2 is alright though. And T3 is not too bad but still 1 tenth slower than my best...

I can see a close battle in D2 as well already! :D

Never had the intention to run this, tried for an hour anyway but I'm way off pace again!!!

Chris, great stuff from you. Need to find someone else to compete against from the looks of it.👍 (Don't have as much time as I used to have either).

I gave this an attempt last night after I did about an hour of practice for today's races. As tired as I was, I was unable to run a clean lap and trying to control the car was troublesome.
