Okay that's fine. I've heard people complain about multiple corner cuts and I told those people to send a PM to a steward.

Yeh. Remember that stewards/admins are real people ;)

We don't want to sit through hours of replays just to check up on people. If we see possible incidents or experience them ourselves, of course we will review them. Outside of that, we do rely on you guys discussing the issues in PM's between the drivers involved, and if escalation is needed, PM's to admins/stewards.

If you do want to submit an infraction, precise timestamps etc are what we need, because again, no one wants to be trawling through replays.

Frank, I saw your start. Such an annoying thing when that happens. Unless you actually test your wheel position manually, theres no feedback at all so not possible to know where its facing. I've done that exact thing at least once or twice before.

I was gutted, now that i looked my replay over and over again, I can only concluded something strange happened, i had a good and quick start, I slightly turned right as I saw Daniel had a slow start and all off a sudden the car swung into the wall, It felt like i was in dirty air.... Sorry Mika and possible other persons i was in the way.

I immidiatly started my hunt but already lost 10 seconds to the last in line. Now I knew the safe way would be to 'safe' for making up time I needed to take a risk, wich I did by going for a onestopper. All went well had some awsome battles during my catch up with GTP Daz, Joe, Evoloution, Mika and some others. when everybody went for theire first pitstop I got up to third or forth possition, and had gained a lot of time. But then I made a minor error in lap 10 causing me 10 sec. and was allover the place in lap 11. Through out the first stint I had the feeling my tyres got quicker worn out then I was used and I really struggled with something I had tryd at least a dozen times. After losing 20 sec in that lap I got in the pit, filled her almost up (87 liters) and took off ,again from last position. I was able to come back on Joe, and passed McFizzle during his 'wheel-horror-fest' but the others had to far gone, Made one minor mistake wich allowed Joe to come back, and causing me to loose my rythm I was close and my last stint I was able to run steady even up to lap 22..... when time ran out.

Disappointing race, but a high fun factor, and again some 'street-knowledge' in the pocket. Thanks everyone for coming out all these weeks on track, through out the numerous hours we ran. Thanks Paul for hosting the room. You did a fine job, and are nowhere near a rookie nomore (even with that little slip, wich i did not notice neither) Thanks Paul (hasselmoff) for all the hard work. And last but not least congratulations to all podium winners.

@ Daniel, sorry man, before the race it had all looks we would have an awsome battle. Shame I could not live up to expectations. There is always next time, see you guys at Laguna seca ;)

Yeah frank the 2 times we had contact were unfortunate. what i did at the start and when tires started to wear i put tc on 1 at the start it acts like launch control and i could push more with older tires knowing tc would keep me from spinning or having crazy oversteer.

During practise I was always the faster starter, never had any problems nore did I ever experience something like this, might have been dirty air as I was already close behind Daniel, that cause me loosing grip.... I know something new is always nice, but this would have fitted me more at an other place and another time :) Sorry again neighbour. I owe you one ;)

lol well i think we're even from my very stupid action to come back on the track to soon which probably gave me the drive to be as fast as i was though and finish 5th from being 10th and even 11th for a while :) . but i was thinking when i crashed into you at the start wtf is happening it was really weird seeing you spin on the start. if it was the turning the wheel to the right i've been there before as well.

Well my race didn't exactly go as planned, made a good start, got onto main straight and up to the first chicane, missed braking point and went right through corner. Put me in dead last... Made my way back through field back to third and then had a good battle with noize until the first stop. Then my race went downhill from then...

Congrats for the win Wes! Great job Matthew for finishing 3rd.
Nice win Ghost in room B, and to the two Ford drivers for 2nd and 3rd!

Great to see Team Ford leading the championship!!!

Plan on doing a race report for this one soon.

Frank if I can offer my suggestion, because I know what caused it to me before.

Basically, if you are ghosted or parked or something (but not in the pause menu) when the race start timer finishes, I believe it does not re-calibrate your wheel to centre sometimes.

Then when you get on track at the start of the race, there is no feedback, because you are stationary. I suspect you had your wheel one rotation to the right, without ever knowing it, and it felt just like normal on the feedback whilst sitting on the grid. Then you hit the gas, and get thrown sideways.

As I said, that is how it has happened to me before now, but maybe it was something else. It was a shame, because I saw in the replay, you were flying out the blocks, probably going to make 1 or 2 positions.

There was also a countdown timer in the OP as there is for every one of our events. There was also a link to get your local time.

Neither would show up on my phone for some reason.

Probably the banana peel I threw out the window.:mischievous:

Yeah, you are probably right, it sure looks like that happened, but as I said it was a firsttimer for me, and I had no clue what was going on... Yeah, I did indeed fly out of the blocks, ..... into the wall :ouch:

:) Lets just say our wheels where our best friends today ;)

My race target was to race clean and make none mistakes - but that didn't happen :(
Good start and raced with Speedy and MadMax few laps.
Crashed and took Speedy & MadMax with me (sorry again).
Keep racing with Speedy & MadMax few more lap and then we just split from each other -MadMax run away from me and Speedy went his first pitstop.
I did two more little mistake during the race. Rest of race was just concentration not to make more mistake and keep constant lap pace.
Race was fun and really enjoyed it.
Thx to those who made this event happening 👍
Congrats to everyone!

My race started out pretty good and up to my expectations. Put on TCS 1 for the grid start using it as launch control setting it to 0 again on the first long draft straight. Had a bit of a wobble somewhere around lap 5 I think, losing the draft from the guy in front (can't recall who exactly) of me. Had some good racing with Joel and Pekka as of then. I saw Joel clipping the grass and going sideways in one of the Porsche turns, immediatly started to hold back, brake to try to avoid him but some major lag emerged and all of a sudden I had come to a complete stop against the wall. All three of us stuck together picking up our race again. Went for a pit at the end of lap 7 taking 45l of fuel. On my own I did a few good laps but a few laps further on my race started to fall apart, losing concentration not being able to pick myself up again making multiple mistakes losing all my chances of catching up to Joel again. Thanks to Paul (Hasslemoff) for putting this one together. Had fun. Eventhough my race didn't end the way I intended to.

Good racing, everybody 👍
Congratulations to Wes and the rest of the podium in room A and GhostDriver and Rph for respective 1st and 3rd in room B.
I'm pretty happy with second place, because I couldn't have done better. Ghost was just
amazingly fast and I lost seconds (!) every lap, well done mate.

Had a good start and was able to get to second position, then moved back to 6th or 7th after the straights, the McLaren were flying.
Battled with DZ, Rph and other drivers for a few laps.
In lap 8 I decided on a change of strategy and went for a 1 stopper, did
my pitstop on the end of lap 11 with about 8.5 seconds to Paul. Managed to sneak a few seconds from Paul in the pits.
Afterwards had a very nice battle with him, we were changing positions quite often until he made a mistake.
But the most intense moments of the race were with Rph: man that was an incredibile battle!
Was ahead by a few seconds with 3 laps to go, and messed up the exit of the Indianapolis corner. Rph got immediatly to my tail. Now the battle started and I was pushing really hard to keep up with Rph and we changed a few times positions.
In the last lap Rph messed up in the same corner as me: Indianapolis and I managed to get to his tail again and draft pass him, three corners afterwards the race timer expired and I was so relieved to be in front by 0.1 of a seond . Don't know if I would've stayed ahead until the finish line.

For some reason tough I didn't manage to get many 3'55.xxx and my best lap was way beyond the fastest from the full pratice (3'53.9xx).
I guess was too worried about the tires to push on the limit.
But pace was pretty consistent and of course with all the battles going on, I couldn't push that hard.

Thanks to all the admins for this exciting race and fantastic GT3 Championship.

Looking forward to Spa now 👍

@ Frank and Mcfizzle: I feel for you guys, so unfortunate :ouch:, expected Frank to be right there up with me, would have been a good battle. Better luck next time I guess 👍

I just saw that for the Constructor's Championship the average of all the results count. Since there are different numbers of cars for each manufacturer, wouldn't it better to count only the best x cars per manufacturer?

And I'm honestly not just saying that, because Ferrari are dead-last in the standings!! :sly:

Nope. If we did that teams with more drivers would have the clear advantage as they would have more "mulligans". The average result is the most fair and least sensitive to driver counts. And each and every driver contributes to the team for better or worse. Not sure how you could argue otherwise. Teams with fewer drivers will have the average more sensitive to one good/bad result, teams with more drivers will be less sensitive but it works in both directions so there is no advantage in having fewer drivers.

There are several drives that will come in future races in the series: myself, PASM, etc so the mix will change and other tracks may suit different cars. The constructor championship is far from decided.... Ferrari still has a chance.

I must admit, you do have a point there. As long as there's a fairly balanced distribution of cars, that's probably the best solution. 👍

It's actually pretty funny to see how lag and glitches can do weird stuff with you on track.
Watch the livestream and FFWD to 26min 10sec and you'll see how I try to avoid Joel and come to a complete stop from 130kph in 0.01sec.

Checked out the start, a bit chaotic with JTV taking a nap :sly:, but great driving by everyone to make sure no one hit each other. Awesome driving!

Yeah, was a good example on how to do a grid start where the main thing is to be patient. 👍

How do i have any points?

The way the points work in this series, qualifying in the A race guarantees you a bunch if points as long as you complete enough laps.

Points in the F1 series are a lot harder to come by as it uses a completely different system.

So is it like I get last from the points of everyone in room A but ahead of everyone in room B? it seems to look like that in the results besides Ghost driver

I was rooting for you to come 3rd, you know Team Ford and all. Mighty unlucky there with the fuel, its caught many of us out at one point or another. Live and learn as they say.

You were giving good chase till then 👍.

Follow up to your second question, yes. Ghost got 1 point less than you, but he also had one bonus point for winning room B.

I was going to finish possibly just outwith draft distance of yourself after you made a mistake if i noticed right, was running straight low 53's on the low fuel then slowed down in an effort to conserve fuel :(

Yes, ghost gets a one point bonus for his win in B plus points for 13th. You get points for 12th which amount to the same total. If your goal is to get max points qualifying in A is pretty important.

Whatever the point system, it's the same for all drivers and was published ahead of time so shouldn't be a surprise or unfair to anyone.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the race 👍👍👍 and put up with my slow typing in room A, we were only a couple of minutes late for the start, wouldnt of worked without all your cooperation .

Its the first time we tried the standing start like that and it worked well I thought, the replay looks good as well with all the cars going under the dunlop bridge.

Apologies to Snow and Mohit on the first lap when I nearly wiped them out at the Mulsanne hairpin, I broke to late and nearly went into the back of Snow but managed to just miss him, but clipped the sand and span in front of him and bumped into Mohit.

My race went well had a good battle with Anastassis for about 6 laps, I did try bump drafting to try and catch the group in front but it didnt work, made my first stop on lap 8, then it was a lonely race, till about lap 19 when I was catching Pekka, then had a good battle with him for the last 2 laps :).

Looking forward to Spa.
