Hey guys, sorry about not updating my status for this event...been working all weekend. I've chosen my car. I'll be there tonight...any further details let me know.

Race is already happening. Started 20min ago.

Kind of cool watching 2 sunrises side by side. :) Good luck all.

I can't watch twitch on my phone... Any updates from the races Lucas?

Ghost is running away in B and just did his first pit(lap 9), oink is a solid 2nd behind him, then about 6-7sec gap to a pack of noize, DZ...And with all the pitting that just started happening, the above is out the window.

A seems to have some signs of leaders doing early pits as well, with Wes in 5th, gooners in 7th, and JTV in 10th, though they were all in front early.

Both races started within 10sec of each other.

Halfway point, and the ordering that I can see is:

A
Wes, SnowCrash, Wii, anastasis - top 4, unknown order
5 gooners
6 Pekka
7 matthew
8 Jammy
9 JTV
10 Rocket
11 Hasslemoff
12 Speedy

B
1 Ghost
2 oink
3 noize
4 gtevolution
5 zach
6 Rph
7 Racingworld
8 mcfizzle

Thanks!! Now if my battery survives long enough for the end.

3 laps to go:

A

Cant believe it.. Really cant.. Comfortable 3rd to inevitable last... Ran out of fuel halfway through last lap.
Wow.

Why was I told to be in a room at 18:45 GMT then....

18:45 GMT is 11:45am PDT (your timezone).

Looks like the finishing order was pretty similar to my last update. Official results will be up when they're ready.

For sure. I searched it in google and it told me it was 5:** GMT.

There was also a countdown timer in the OP as there is for every one of our events. There was also a link to get your local time.

I was running in third on lap 13 heading towards to the end of the start/finish straight when the power cable came unplugged from my wheel. I assume I didn't plug it in fully and the vibration from the buttkicker worked it out. You can imagine my surprise when I attempted to brake and turn and there was no input whatsoever and I slid about 100yds into the sand. After I realized what the problem was the wheel calibrated off center and I have to stop again to manually calibrate.:ouch:

Over the next couple laps I seemed to lose focus causing me to clip the grass while braking and completely losing it in front of two guys at the Porche Curves and then completely missing the braking point for the first chicane. After that I parked it in the pits and went and mowed the lawn. I hope everyone had a good race.👍

Started unexpectedly high in 4th. Unfortunately Jon in his McLaren right ahead of me fell asleep at the start and I had to swerve hard to the left to avoid running into him at the start. Cost me 4 spots as I went through the Dunlop chicane in 8th. The front train therefore was gone by the time I started to gain some places again. Had a nice fight with Mohit and WiiFreak for a while, until I made a couple of minor errors and was just out of Wii's slipstream. We were going at exactly the same speed, so I stayed in 7th, I think, for most of the remainder of my first stint. Wii, me and Anastasis seem to have been the only ones going for a 1-stopper, and I even managed to take the lead in laps 10/11 when Wii seemed to have problems with his tyres.

The stop dropped me down to 9th again just out of Wii's slipstream (he must have taken on a little less fuel), but I knew I had to stay consistent and I would move up the order eventually. Went by JTV just as he came out from his second pitstop, so when he overtook me (which was inevitable with his fresh tyres and him being in a McLaren), I latched on to his back and let him tow me closer to Matthew and Wii. Wii apparently had the same trouble at the end of his second stint so I managed to get by, and Rocket ran out of fuel on the last lap, so I ended up 5th, a result I'm quite happy with overall. Maybe a little more would have been possible, but races don't always go your way. :)

Frank, I saw your start. Such an annoying thing when that happens. Unless you actually test your wheel position manually, theres no feedback at all so not possible to know where its facing. I've done that exact thing at least once or twice before.

Congratulations Wes for dominating this event from start to finish

Looks like Mohit was able to take full advantage of the Ford's greater fuel efficiency to jump everybody else at the pits to take second place. Well done Mohit 👍

I've had many great duels competing in the WRS, but I think my duel with Jon for third place topped them all, it was unbelievably intense. Great race Jon, well done for finishing fourth.

Wow.

Commiserations Paul, you drove really well today. Make sure to plan out your fuel strategy next time ;)

My strategy was to stop twice after laps 8 and 15, each time topping up the fuel to 60 litres (the Ferrari uses 8.5 litres per lap at most). Fairly simple, which made it easy to remember.

One last thing... after being penalized at the Monaco GP, I want to be completely certain that I did nothing wrong this race. I'm sure I was clean overall, but if anyone thinks that I may have committed any kind of infraction, please PM me.

See you at the German Grand Prix 👍

This was my best race in WRS yet but it started terrible for me. I started in 8th with a good start but for some reason Frank spunn or at least came in front of me so I bumped into him and instantly lost my advantage of a good start. then for the first few laps I had to adjust to my car setting, because I had a lot of understeer previously which I couldn't get rid off then just before the race I realised it was the weight balance. which I had all the way to the front so i put it 40 to the rear. While I was adjusting I was being too aggressive and spun coming out of indianapolis in my rage on my self I went back on track as soon as I could and there was frank sadly hitting the back of my 458 with 150kph + so I was right back in the barrier at that point I was so pissed at myself for screwing up so bad I had my head in my hands but I decided to give it all I could. I pushed so hard for the rest of the race that I improved my previous best time with over 3 seconds. I did a two stopper pitting in lap 6 and 14. I finished 5th with oink in sight coming from 10th after I spun and hit frank. It felt super good making up so much time I couldn't push the car any further it was at it's absolute limit with it's tune.

Congrats to the winners, podiumfinishers and everyone who reached their goal.

I did plan it, during the race my fuel loss was getting inconsistent, sometimes 5-6 liters which I found strange, My first pit was lap 8 ish and i had used 40-50 liters, had half a tank for 7 laps and fell 2 or so liters short

oh ok so that screwed up my start as well. well sadly karma made us make contact again after. 👎

It probably varied based on how much drafting you were doing. In the first few laps, you were doing a lot of drafting behind me and Jon, so your fuel consumption would have been considerably lower than usual. I'm guessing that this would have made you (or PD) underestimate how much fuel you would need to put in, hence you running out with half a lap to go.

My fuel strategy was based on running the car offline, so that no other cars could skew the calculation.

Very disappointing result and performence overall, i had much understeer although i had a good setup in practice did a 55´2 and then with slipstream 57´:grumpy:. The acceleration and top speed were not as excepted and i spun out into the gravel and lost many positions early in the race. But again it was a fair and fun race and i hope i can hold up the concentration longer for the next determined race. The Ghost in " B " was really a ghost saw him passing me and that´s it, looked at the results and saw the 49´5

Yes, if you are wandering about the gaps. Of course (due to my very infuriating mistake) the race finished after just a few seconds.

This meant that we had no finish line gap data, so I took the most recent gaps given at the last split that each driver had hit just before the replay ended. You may notice some strange things (some guys have a smaller gap than the person in front of them). This is due to what I just explained, and they must have overtaken the person in front before the race was prematurely ended.

Okay and is every driver checked on multiple corner cutting? I've heard complaints that will be notified to a steward but I was wondering if the stewards check for corner cuts in the replays themselves too.

The stewards will check if they noticed repeated corner cutting themselves or if it is brought to their attention through a PM. They don't have enough time to watch the entire race for every driver to see if a driver is repeatedly cutting.
