The following reserve drivers need to let us know if you can commit by 16:00 GMT tomorrow (9:00 AM Pacific | 12:00 PM Eastern) otherwise we'll assume you are not racing:
  • GTP_phillieproff
  • GTP_gmmatthew
  • GTP_Jb
  • GTP_mcfizzle
  • GTP_Jared93

Both phillieproff and gmmatthew have qualification times that would put them in room A if they choose to confirm.

The remainder have no time and will start at the back of room B in order of handicap (order listed above).

Please post to the thread before the deadline and submit the registration form with your updated status: Confirm or Cancel.

I probably won't be racing tomorrow. I have a 15 mile run in the morning and I don't think sitting in the chair afterwards will be comfortable. Will update status in the morning though.

What a day!

Congrats Bart on the pole, and to Mohit and Tim for starting right after him.

Spent a good deal of time in the lounge with Pekka trying to understand the wizardry,
and was pretty happy with the result. 👍

We decided to spontaneously tandem drift Blanchimont at one point:

Good luck in the race everyone!

Great lap Bart 👍
Congratulations on the pole by a big margin.

Looking forward to the race tonight. See you on track :gtpflag:

So if I hadnt missed that corner by a few inches id have been 2nd, and now no chance of big points :P

If the reserves cannot make the race there is a chance of 23 points for the winner in Room B, if all the reserves make the race 20 points up for grabs in Room B.

The way qualifying has gone and new drivers joining it should make the points interesting after the race.

Just a quick reminder on track boundries :)

Are we using the f1 start/finish tonight or the endurance start/finish.

The timing line... When you tick to a new lap and hear the blip... That's when the pole sitter accelerates... Everyone else when the driver in front accelerates.

3pm EDT can't come soon enough. :D

Just watched most of the Spa 24H race that just concluded so I'm hyped to race today.

Signed up with the 458 :) Looking forward to racing tonight lads

EDIT - Is there a problem with the registration??

Interesting how the Ford shines here in Spa.

I (respectfully) disagree. The 5 Fords near the top of the quali have been people practice in the lounge pretty much everyday for the whole week. Honestly it felt more like a spec race at times because usually there were no other cars in the lounge.

Can't compete today, sorry.

Going to have to pull out of this one. Hopefully I'll make the last two.

Thanks for letting us know 👍👍👍

Your signed up 👍👍👍

I think google is having Sunday off , its still taking registrations but not showing the full table.

Here are the room assignments and grid positions for the races today:

Any new drivers who add will go in room B.

Race A in main lounge (GTP_3D3Racing) and Race B in B Lounge (GTP_3D3_B).

Both lounges have mics-enabled, but please disable your mic once the formation lap is underway. They are for steward and emergency use only. If you quit or DC please do not return to use the chat and tell us about it. Post here in the thread.

Finally, the pole sitters should take the final chicane slowly on the formation lap. Then accelerate off the chicane slowly and take the timing line no faster than 80 kmh / 50 mph. It's a short distance from chicane to timing line and we don't want to leave the rear of the field in the turn. If you take the start line slightly slower than 80 that's fine just accelerate steadily out of the chicane. All other drivers should wait until the driver in front of you accelerates to race pace before doing so yourself.

We will announce when each lounge is open for practice / warm up.

Will do 👍 Looking forward to the race :)

The main lounge is open for practice for those of you in Race A. Join any time, but please be sure to arrive on time... we are starting the regulation checks at 19:00 GMT sharp so arrive a little early.

A few tenths faster and I would've had pole in the b room. 3rd is still good though looking forward to it hope I can get a podium would be my first so fingers crossed. :)

EDIT: Al is the B room already open?

Would just like to appologise for not being able to post if I could make it or not. My phone was completely flat, and I'm afraid I can't make it. 👎

Well that went freaking bad. My brake pedal keeps getting stuck at 5% so everytime i brake i have to see the brake meter to see if my brakes were still on which cost me a lot of time because i couldn't concentrate on driving the car instead i had to keep looking at the bottom of my screen. I do not seem to have a lot of luck because i also went off twice in the beginning of the race on places and in ways i haven't ever gotten off track on spa. hope my luck turns sometime because this is not keeping my morale up to keep racing.

That was a *lot* of fun and really tough given the length.

Bart, you couldn't be stopped today (or most days for that matter)... congratz!

I expected a lot more close bumper to bumper racing after all the practice races were such, but things just get strung out in a race and of course we don't wait for someone who makes a mistake. :sly:

The first 6 ish laps I was drafting gooners who was drafting Bart and that was fun and the pace was quick enough (18 flat) to break us free of the guys chasing. At first that was Wii chasing, but he had an issue and I think Pekka was then behind me for a lot of the first stint. Pekka was faster and closing inch by inch, but also made a few mistakes which gave the time back so we were pretty dead even. Gooners had an off and fell behind Pekka then he short pitted us per his standard strategy.

After my first pit (after 13 race laps) I came out just behind gooners. I had put in a little extra fuel because my plan was to come out behind gooners and let him pull me a bit and then be able to stay in front after my 2nd pit. It worked, I came out behind him, but gooners was a bit too far at first to draft for a while, but with 2 lap fresher tires I eventually caught him. Lost touch with Pekka and Wii and basically it became a race between gooners and I for 2nd.

Near the end of stint 2 I was quite a bit faster in T2 than gooners so had to make a pass or risk losing my strategy... Did so on Kemmel and then tried to break the draft. Took a couple laps, but I did and then gooners short pitted again. I came in two laps later, but had to add less fuel...

I came out in front of gooners and Wii (who was on a different strategy) and they were a bit out of touch of my draft, but close. This is when I pushed the most during the race. I knew if I could keep them out of my draft for 5 laps then my 2 lap fresher tires would allow me to cruise to 2nd. I ran a very good out lap on cold tires (for a change) and then about 6-7 straight 18s and managed to slowly increase the gap and then just went into auto pilot... and took it home easy the last 3 laps. No way I was catching Bart so 2nd was the best I could hope for today.

Fun to be back... my first race since early June. 👍

NOTE: The following are completely unofficial results I'm posting so that drivers can let me know if there are any calculation errors with the points or anything. With the teams and such this is the first time doing this so the more eyes the better. Results will not be official until all incidents are reviewed. I don't know of any reported, but we'll give drivers their 24 hours.
