Congrats to the Winners.

Great fun.

Man, I had a blast today! Great racing in both rounds. The two stopper at Spa was a really fun strategy. Flying up through the field on the final stint along with Travis (Carracer) was probably the most fun I've had in GT5 in a long time. Had we had one more lap we probably both have made the podium, but frankly because I had so much fun it doesn't bother me very much.

Anyways, I'm beat. I've run five forty minute races today (3 practice races + 2 actual races) so I'm going to enjoy some rest now. Thanks for organizing and running this epic event 👍

That last stink was fun 👍

Great racing tonight guys, spa was a blast, silver almost had me in the last few laps and then Carracer arrived.

Great job to ghost for winning the race 👍

Man, I didn't have you on my watchlist, catch me off guard 👍

WD

You're tired. I haven't had more than 5 hours sleep in 3 days because of this (and I'm in the masters division where that hurts more ). Then JTV decides to make Fuji a battle to the death.

Thanks for coming out guys. Thanks for sticking around after PSN 🤬 us. Thanks for being great drivers.

We're compiling results. We'll post handicapped and non-handicapped points results by team and all individual race results. Epic day... biggest thing I've ever organized here at GTP... glad it's over really. :sly:

Great job organizing this 👍

Tim and the rest of the WRS crew..

I have nothing more to say but this..->

Thanks a ton for everything!! :gtplanet:

yeah, seriously... I had a complete blast today. Coming from the back is never easy but often fun. :sly: 👍
great job putting this on, and it was wonderful to see so many full grids.

Next time I'll drive the car before we qualify so we can make better use of my sandbags.

I concur with what everyone else said, I had a great time, and it was a great event. Thanks to the admins and stewards for all the hard work. Thanks to my teammates on Team USA for the help, and thanks to all the participants for coming out. Hope we do this again!

Here's the first batch of results. Individual room results (unofficial pending incident review):

  • HPts = net points after handicap (round 1 and 2) and bracket multiplier (round 2) are applied.

Here's the next batch of results. Combined room results from each round (unofficial pending incident review):

WC2013_roomresults_round2_combined-4.png

Notes:
  • Compares total race time minus formation lap to compare/merge across lounges.
  • BPts = base points for finishing position (function of room size for lower positions).
  • HPts = net points after handicap (round 1 and 2) and bracket multiplier (round 2) are applied.

PS> Point out the errors and we'll fix 'em up. The core results are checked, but stuff like pits and start position may be some minor mistakes. Fixed the round 2 start positions already.

Well according to that table, no one had pole! :D

I really don't mind.
Super happy with my performance today!

Just wanted it to be noticed if it was of any importance. 👍

yikes, I made 12 passes... wish I could have found my grove at spa. Was doing 13.5's in clean air this morning.

DZ, I think you might have just given your team the win! 87.4 points from spa, you outscored 7 teams on your own in that race. Well done 👍

Big 👍 to all involved - Drivers, teams, organisers alike. Hope to see you all soon on track! :gtpflag:

Found another minor data entry error. Ghosts formation lap was put in as 3 minutes flat when it was really 3:23.662. Doesn't change points or room order, but the combined results for spa get shuffled a bit with Ghost having the fastest overall time now:

Combined Spa result there still minor detail error - best lap time (green one).

Very big thank you to organisers 👍👍

Well done all. Was really fun to race different drivers both races.

Great job on organizing everything guys 👍 Was a lot of fun. Really cool seeing so many people turn up for this event.

-Just to be picky, I started 10th at Spa, not 9th. I think a few of them are muddled for our room (room 3) in the combined results.

It looks like most guys had some good racing. I know I did.

We'll post full team results after 24hrs has passed, and we have dealt with all incident reports.

First race Tim/WRP had an incident early but somehow battled back to intercept JTV and keep him from catching DZ and I. Teamwork really worked out here. 👍
I'll admit I was driving scared on the 2nd/final stint, and trying to receive ESP waves from Tim. :)
DZ grabbed the podium and we headed to Belgium.

Spa race was full-on crazy. :irked: Thanks for your patience, people.

I was very grateful for the restart due to a lot of early mistakes in the race that blew up. :ouch:
The real race was quite a bit better, but I still had those early issues at 1st lap Eau Rouge & Kemmel, almost taking out my teammates. 👎
In fact, we all were slow, Carracer was the only one who had sniffed 2'13's by lap 9, everyone else had only hit 14's or higher.
That was blown away in the latter part of the race by the 2-stopper PURE North America guys. It was great to see that strategy pulled off with success. 👍
But DZ held on to that fast pack at the front and really made us proud. Congrats Daniel!

A big  to my team, with Tim covering all the bases, DZ defining clutch performance, and Kev for dealing with me being right in front of him for the hectic starts. :ill: Sorry, bud.

In the tables above, the points shown from the A bracket race don't tally with the points in the combined results.

^I prefer the points in the combined results use them please :D hehe

Doh! The big table was re-pulled (to fix the wrong fast lap highlighted) after i turned off driver handicap multiplier. I have a switch in the doc to change that and took 4th version of that pic after turned them off. consider it a preview of the non handicap results to come later today... Assuming all incidents are clear.

So far just a couple in incidents came in and one may be lag related. As I said before, we had some great and respectful drivers out there.

I should be less bleary eyed tonight... Although a stupid car alarm woke me up at 6:30 AM :(

Ps. Six races and six different winners! 👍

I'm guessing one was me + Basse. I want to apologise again for that, don't understand why you didn't display in the race for me, I could see your messages in chat. I tried to message you immediately after you said I pushed you off but it wouldn't let me send a message either, it kept failing. Hope it didn't ruin your race too much

Congratulations to all the podium takers 👍
I had a great night of racing yesterday.
Thanks to all the admin staff for organizing this event so perfectly.
My Fuji race was quite ok and Spa also, had totally messed up my fuel calculations tough.
Took way too much fuel, which probably costed me 4th place.
Had some great battles with Wes and Mika 👍

I want to thank again Team Nederland for taking me in.

Congratulations everyone! I think we had a proper celebration of 100 Weeks of Online Events.

Here are some pictures of the great race Loris, Jon and I had in Spa:

Loris closing the gap into Les Combes

Mika (inside) and Daniel in a braking duel into turn one

Having to defend heavily to Loris

Loris hanging in there on the outside!

Still side by side

I manage to sneak ahead a bit

Loris still gunning for the overtake every lap

Once again side by side into Les Combes

Door to door racing, so much fun and respect

Loris makes the overtake as I run wide in Pouhon

Jon really closing in now

Jon and I pit at the end of lap 9. I take too much fuel and Jon gets out with a good gap.

Loris exits the pit a lap later just in front of me

Because of the extra speed I overtake Loris on Kemmel straight, Jon taking the lead of the race

Close quarters braking into the Bus Stop chicane

And again into turn one

Loris going around the outside, succesfully catching Jon's draft and overtaking me into Eau Rouge

Team Aussie now strongholding the front, here executing a perfect roadblock :D

Its all cool if that was the problem, got a bit confused when you just turned in on me and shunted me :) but if you couldn't see me i guess its hard to know if someone tries to overtake you ;)

Battle highlights between WRP and JTV from second half of Round #1, Room #3 @ Fuji.

WRP, driving for Team USA Red is serving as "rear guard" after dropping to last on lap 1 due to a spin. As the video begins WRP is coming out of the pits half way through the race just ahead of JTV who is driving for Team Aussie.

Two USA drivers, Gravitron and DZ, just in front of this battle in key points positions and at risk from JTV's attack. WRP ultimately failed in the battle for position with JTV, but wore out JTV to the point where Team USA held all other positions and won the war to advanced to the winners bracket for round 2.
