Filled driver database form
You've been added to our driver database and a club invite for GTP_WRS has been sent. 👍

If you intend to start with this race, you'll need to also click the Register Here button in the 2nd post.

I just registered for NA.

It will be my first time taking a part of the official WRS online race, so please be kind if I do something stupid :dunce:
I see you submitted the driver form too, I'll get it sorted in a couple hours so you'll show on the tables. 👍 Welcome!

To race or not to race (2b or not 2b). Always thought that to be a stupid question the answer is always race (2b).

Looking forward to the EU race tonight, Good luck everyone. 👍 :gtpflag:

We're less than 1 hour away from the race. I've locked the registration form and it will be 1 lobby only. If you want to cancel, post in the thread. If anyone of the confirmed drivers doesn't show up, I will post so 5 minutes before race start. The lobby will be then open to the one that posts in here first.

Edit: Race room is now open.

Since no-one replied in here and Tuesday is in the lobby, the spot goes to him.

sorry about that, i accidentally pushed the PS button because of a small steering wobble and the menu froze.... I quitted as quickly as I could

Can't make it tonight. Tried using the form but couldn't. Have fun guys.
Disregard. Form seems to be working now.

Went off going into the pits for my 2nd stop. Game glitched or something, didn't let me select how much fuel I wanted, and short changed me so I had to short shift for the last part of the race. Brought it home at least.

Good race otherwise.

Turned off PS3 because the loading glitch was taking forever. :odd:

Sorry about the lag. I hope I didn't affect anyone (especially nail-27 who was right behind me). Listening to people post-race, it sounds like I was a real headache. Once again I'm sorry. I forgot to tell my wife to turn off the wifi before plugging in her phone. Otherwise it auto-back ups and steals all the bandwidth. I completed 22 laps before this happened (I think). So close to finishing the race.

I ghosted myself and limped home. I guess this is the correct procedure? I didn't say anything during the race not to distract anyone.

We appreciate you racing a good race up until that point, and for finding the cause of the lag. 👍 You handled the blue flag and lag very well, thanks for that. Sometimes it's not so obvious as one of us typing in the chat, so picking up clues is important. In this case, if I wasn't there watching, it would have been @Nail-27 on the mic saying "Watch out, you've got a lagger up ahead." He probably would have just backed off to avoid carnage, but you retiring allowed him to finish strong.

Other than that, it was a great race to watch, and that makes my absence there tolerable. :) I kept switching back and forth between all the great battles.

I rage too much, especially post race. The race was fine, but during the post race when we were at Matterhorn... I'm sorry for my attitude, but I'm sure all my apologies so far is beginning to sound pretty ridiculous.

True

Probably should have put these up before the Wed races. :( 1-stop was only a backup plan, with 2-stops being faster and safer.

Congrats Bart, @PASM All on the domination!

Sorry guys if I caused a little distraction leaving the EU lobby. It was starting to get to me that I couldn't race because of the invisible driver problem. Spent the evening trying to find a way to improve my connection. Unfortunately, while waiting on word back from my internet provider, the only thing I can do my end is try turning of UPnP and see if it helps (as suggested by I think it was Bart) and reducing to 720. Can't change to Nat 1 as my router is also my modem. I think the problem is I live in N,Ireland with it's rip off crappy internet service.

Anyway well done to everyone, hope you all had fun.

@monkeywall

Have you tried puting your ps3 in the DMZ of your router? This can make a lot of difference just google "routername" "DMZ" this should give you the information you need. there's probably enough information on this subject on GTplanet aswell you're not the first maybe you could dig that up as well.

Good luck I hope to race you anytime soon!

Cheers,

Kevin

I'm just going to assume everything I said is true, and I'm turning into someone that no one here likes. Heck, I'm sure you guys are starting to dislike me.

Nah, you just need to cut back on the self loathing. Don't worry about your performance too much. There are a lot of guys faster than you but there are also a lot of guys slower than you.
Imagine going to a friendly soccer hockey game. You get to play with bunch of other guys. Lets say one guy screws up and says "oh, I really :censored:ed that up, sorry guys". Another guy makes similar mistake and delivers a 15 minutes speech about how his life/parents/dog/school sucks. Then he moves on to highlight some previous good plays he made and how he normally doesn't make mistakes.
Which guy would you prefer to play hockey with?

Searched google found a guide how to set it us. As you could have guessed I ain't that tech savvy but the guide seems pretty simple. will give it a go.👍

I'm just going to assume everything I said is true. I... I don't know what to do, aside from taking a long break from the WRS, or something.

Now i dont know what happend. But as i read it, you have the exact same problem as i have, so i understand where you'r comming from.

Sometimes we have to swallow some camels (Danish saying) to get back on track. I have learnd in my time here that you have to learn of the mistakes and take a step back and think before you write posts.

All makes mistakes and write something wrong. But all here accepts a sorry, and moving forward.

So as Tuesdayblack says. Back on track and have some fun with all of us.
