Speedy, why can't you just use a lapel type of mic that plugs into your PC?
Seems like the easy way to go and would cost about 10$.
Unless I've misunderstood what you are trying to do - (PS3 runs as per usual with gaming headset / PC has a mic for streaming dialogue).

Edit: I think I get it now... you can't get the game sounds to the stream? :dunce:

As an unofficial table we put in the "appendix" of each event I don't think it's a bad idea and it wouldn't be too hard... Basically, I agree with Hydro though that in terms of a real result, it's not that meaningful because each race develops it's own strategy. In first, you might just be trying to conserve tires and match the guy in second.. responding when he pits, etc... you're not trying to match the time of the guy from the EU race. Also, even if you could make everything equal... the guy in the NA race has more information so has an advantage... he knows if he has to push or can take it easy because he knows the EU result already when his race is underway.

But as an easy way to look at how the times compare it's fun.

One problem with putting them together is we don't have total time for all drivers... the drivers who get lapped and never finish we couldn't really order exactly.

Anyway, ran through this for the last event and here's what it would look like:

I actually prefer leaving the double entries for guys who ran both because they can compare their two races pretty easily.

Little late

But that is what i mean. I can imagine it won't be an official result. But still a nice extra statistic.

Looks like I will have to search for a headset that uses this kind of connection.

Got my eye on this one now. :)

Page 8 in the manual shows me to be able to put the audio to the HD PVR through optical or analog.

I actually had this Turtle beach headset. Don't buy it. It feels great on on your head, very nice and soft on the ears and that's why you can keep it on for hours. Nothing wrong with the sound aswell. But the voice chat sucks. After not even a year use the mic doesn't stay in the position you want and drops to the chest and people can't hardly hear you.

Now i have the a Tretton and sound and voice chat is much better but is very tight on your head and i don't even have a big head

After some poking, it looks like the only headsets that support the way I want to do things are the Turtle Beach PX5, and the Tritton AX Pro and possibly 720.

The PX5's feature set looks like a better fit with me (I dig the Bluetooth and dual-pairing thing, actually), but overall quality might nudge the Tritton. Hrm, tricky.

Just sent the last missing VW cup car. I can send the missing 400R's starting tomorrow.

Anyone have a Honda NSX Type R '02 they can either put on share or send me? I'd like to use it for the current seasonal time trial.

Thanks Mohit... just realized it's a premium car available in the NCD. :dunce: Thought it was a standard and couldn't locate it.

Yah, sorry for the delay on making the weekly thread public... usually we aim to get the weekly thread posted by Thursday or Friday of the prior week, but there were decisions to made and not much time available for testing this time around and it got delayed. We've got the thread all ready for next week at Laguna so we'll be prompt with that one. :sly:

PS> Off topic... Anyone see the move "Lincoln" yet? I saw it last night and though it was *very* well done. I never doubted for one minute I was actually watching Lincoln on the screen... now that's why good actors should get paid the big bucks.

I'm going to head into the main lounge for a sort of track day tonight if anyone is looking to do some driving.
Cockpit view, no hud (these aren't forced, you can use whatever settings you want ;)), weather and time effects on... I haven't done that in so long. I'll need to assemble a quick playlist with some cruisin' tunes :D

Im going to go in the main lounge for a few hours to do some short races if anyone would like to join or want to practice for anything.

Having these misshifts and looking at the DFGT's shiftpaddles, there doesn't seem much I can do to try to fix it.

What's better to go for then? A G27 or a Fanatec CSR?
I can get a new G27 for 259€ and the CSR is 279.90€.
The CSR is slightly over my budget I'm willing to spend.

Noticed your misshifts in the stream yesterday. I have a G27 and I cannot complain about it, works great.

259€ seems a lot of money tough, got mine for 190€ in a special logitech promotion.

So I had decided to order a G27.
Placed the order on a dutch webshop at around 5:20PM and it was already delivered to me the next day just before noon.
Total cost 236,90€, 10€ shipping cost included and I certainly don't regret paying those shipping costs as the package took only 18hrs to reach me. What a service!

Let's see how the support race this evening goes with it...

Congratz! Good timing... you have today to get used to it and tomorrow to give it a good test.

Nice. Congratz with your new acquisition. You will notice the difference between the G and your DFGT (i believe you used). I really had to get used to the pedals the most.

Enjoy but you will do. No doubt

Since a little over a month now i have a capture card after playing around with some TT video's. I came up with the idea of editing a race like your watching a summary (or how you call it) of a race on TV. Personatly i think it's an great idea but it was a lot of work to proces. And i worked on and off the hole january on it. I'm happy with the results. The first race i did was one called Snake in the Road with the Dodge Viper at Indy Road (november 2012). I post the video here be cause the thread has places in the archieve awhile a go.

Hope you enjoy it and i'm curious to know what you guys think of it. And why like it and what not.

Thanks

Great video Dennis,a nice tribute to the top three racers.👍

The integration of the text into the video is really well done and the race is a pleasure to watch.

Videos of races are always welcome and appriciated, hope to see more in future.:)
