All drivers please update your status for today. If it looks like there's a chance we'll be 16 we're going to run in my lounge so nobody gets left out (I didn't have a chance to get the car prepared in the GTP_3D3_A game save so that's not an option).
I'm going to check in here in about 2-3 hours and announce the lounge officially.
I'm fully confirmed today and all drivers should be on my friends list already (or have received a FR) so best bet is just to go to my lounge and "follow me" by clicking on the yellow button next to my tea cup.
I plan to open the lounge by 20:30 GMT and we'll start the first sprint race no later than 21:10 GMT so be prompt. If you are late arriving you are welcome to join on the next race start (from the front since we'll be doing reverse grid)... if you have to leave early, that's no problem either.
After the 4 official races (2 sprint / 2 feature) drivers are welcome to stick around for more, but I'll be turning over the reigns and will have to go.
See you all soon!
PS> 4WD cars like the one I'm driving have a *huge* advantage at the start... try not to take full advantage of that in every race. OK, so you win the first race and start at the back... don't just go blasting from 12th to 6th on the starting grid in the next race. Whoever starts in front of me will stay in front of me through turn 1 and expect a little bump at the line if you get a bad start... but not such a crazy push as in practice.
PPS> And for new guys who haven't run this format before... don't be surprised if someone crashes and drops off the back to see someone else (or 2) slow and wait for them. This is about close racing and battles and not about who wins. On the other hand if the same driver can't seem to keep the car on track and continually goes off don't expect people to wait over and over either... drivers are expected to keep up to the target pace or close.
