Anyone up for parity practice tomorrow from 20:00 GMT - 22:00 GMT in the main lounge?

I need just a few minutes to tweak my car for the final few tenths and then I just hope to run sprint races for the entire time. Should be good fun as long as we have 3+ in the races. I'lll set the room for 10 minute automatic race cycles of 10 laps and we'll keep it going as long as people are interested.
 
I'd like to join for a run Tim but its not likely I'll be able to make it for 8pm (GMT)... probably more like 9ish if that's ok?

i'll be there at 20 gmt but will have to go a bit early probably around 21:30
 
Guys are welcome anytime around that time slot. That's just the time I'm going to be there. You are welcome to open lounge early, stay later, drop in for 15 minutes or stay for 4 hours. 👍 see you guys later.

Note... Prior to 20:00 I'll be practicing for the F1 Grand Prix in a public lobby also in case you "follow me" don't be surprised. :lol: I'll hop over to our lounge around 20:00. Someone else is free to open up the main for parity earlier if they like.

Yep,and I can confirm for the Sunday so I am tempted to take another car for the second day.
 
I was heading to set up lounge, but my game froze... if someone wants to do it that's fine... i'll reset the PS3 and be there in a few.
 
Sjaak, Jon and Chris are in there right now.

After lapping with Sjaak, I've found my car has good cornering speed, but I get left behind on the straight.

It was really fun though, looking forward to the races 👍
 
Havn't found time to even start this. Lucky for me, got the whole day off tomorrow. Plenty of time to run a car into spec and ready for the racing :D
 
don't think i'm gonna make this one on either off the races so see you guys tuesday for wednesday practice
 
Finally finished breaking in my car. Went up on hp so I can keep up on the straights, lowered the aero and ended up with slightly lower pp, I think I'm all set. Ran a few laps in the lounge and it felt the same, hopefully I'll make practice tomorrow night.
 
So I picked the Nissan SILVIA spec-R AERO (S15) RM '02. I added parts, tuned, and detuned to hit the max top speed and keep it within the allotted time.

I ended up with:
541pp
364hp
Racing Soft tires

Is this allowed? I'm actually still having issues hitting the 1'04.5 time with the lower hp despite the R3 tires. I have to carry so much speed in the turns to keep the lap time down but if I go with different gearing and tires I end up either bouncing off the rev limiter or missing the time by seconds.

I dont think Racing tyres are allowed for this event. Do you mean Sports Soft? Because the tyre compound is set for Sport Hard:

I think you accidently quoted the tires from the Parity Event Deep Forest and not Grand Valley.
Racing tyres should be correct, Sarkazmo.

Only racing medium, racing hard, and sports soft are allowed. No racing soft tires.

Correct,No racing soft.

If troubles to get the target time while racers are on the topspeed of 250 km,racingmedium is allowed.

Btw,

Tonight practice for the parity.
Around 7/8 pm GMT I hope to be able to enter the lounge.

Oh yeh? Not sure how I managed that, lol. But racing soft I think is still not allowed?

Edit: I should have my car ready for some practice tonight, and get the specs fully finalised. Working on it right now.

Yup, 4 of us in here at the moment. Come join in. Make sure your car is at good speed with others etc.

Edit: lol, just realised I somehow put in that my cars top speed was 450kmph. I would have to be pretty bad to be getting the target time with a top speed like that! :D

If you can't make it resubmit the registration and select "No" to cancel.... unless you think there is still a chance in which case keep it on "Reserve".

We are at the number of drivers where the count matters so we can decide between mics-enabled/disabled... at this point it looks like disabled. If we get to 16 we'll have to use someone's personal lounge. maybe mine if I can make it, but I'm not 100% yet. I'm in for sunday, but saturday is iffy so I'll stay on reserve.
 
Forget the question about Racing Soft. I was able to get it to the point of being about a tenth off the target time using Racing Medium so I don't have to use the Racing Soft. I can't do it reliably but my best time with my current setup is 1'04.6XX at a max speed of 155mph so I'm all good.

So the grid looks pretty full for the parity race tomorrow (Saturday) and a very good spectrum of participants across divisions. 👍 👍

In any case, given the count we're going to run in the "A" lounge (GTP_3D3_A) with mics-disabled. If it turns out to be 16 and I can race I'll run as GTP_3D3_A myself so we can get 16 in the lounge. I'm sending my car over there now and I'll set the default track for the lounge to GVE. If for some reason we see more than 16 confirmed before we start we may just run two lounges, but we'll tackle that if/when the time comes.

Sunday looks like we'll be good to go in the main lounge with mics-enabled, but we'll make a call on that tomorrow night.

EDIT: Crud, the car can't be gifted. I'll have to get it on A and then wear the oil out tonight (as I'm running it with fully dirty oil).

Going to try to put at least one Scooby on the grid. Haven't had a chance to set the car up yet - son has gotten worse today (cough for a couple of days turned in to double ear infection :ouch::ill:), and currently pretty iffy on my morning timeslot (Saturday), as family runs interference around then; should make Sunday unless I get no sleep tonight.

I like a lot of these cars, they don't get enough play.

EDIT: Car setup. I may go back on the hp/tire choice, but racing hards seems to be way more grip than this thing needs; having the aerodynamics of a slightly-smoothed brick doesn't help its top speed :sly:
