Thank you! I sent my times as:
T1 0'xx.xxx
T2 0'xx.xxx
T2 0'xx.xxx

I will try:
Times: 0'xx.xxx 0'xx.xxx 0'xx.xxx

Hope this fixes my errors!!

These are your splits you're sending.
That's not necessairy.

To make your splits reach the leaderboard just post them in the thread.
Your final time (best laptime) is the only thing you need to send to fetchbot.

Edit: I'll move these posts to here.
Edit 2: Moved

Since I have no way to record video, if I were to save a short replay or ghost lap from GT5, would someone be generous enough to make it into a video file that I could upload to youtube.

Fanatec support says they respond faster to support requests if they have video evidence. This way I can get my pedals repaired or replaced.

Unless my warranty has run out.. then I'm probably out of luck altogether.

I would but I can only record in SD quality.. (Nevermind, we're in different regions of course).

Good luck with the support. They send my wheel yesterday after 4 weeks of waiting; I hope it doesn't take as long for you.

PM the replay to me and I'll capture and upload to youtube for you. I probably can't do it today because we've got our 3D3/WRS-OE races and then I've got my sons baseball practice, but I can capture/upload it late tonight or tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity, why is it that H-gate shifters and clutch pedals are banned from the WRS? If anything, it'd only hurt your lap times, seeing as how GT5 doesn't allow you to power shift.

It's just the clutch that's prohibited, but I guess on the G25/27 you can't use the H shifter without using the clutch.

That's something that can be done on the Fanatec wheels. I avoid using the H shifter if I don't use the clutch.

Actually, if you start a lap in the game using JUST the shifter (meaning you don't touch the clutch at all), the game will just auto clutch for you, even if you're not going through the gearbox in order. As soon as you touch the clutch pedal though, the game stops autoclutching and throttle blipping/lifting for you.

Idk, I just started playing LFS again last week after a LONG hiatus, and it was a lot of fun hotlapping with the shifter. The nice thing about LFS too, is that each combo has a leaderboard (with extremely detailed telemetry for EVERYBODY's lap too, **** I wish PD would do tha!), and you can actually see who's laps were done with certain features disabled or enabled, IE if they had ABS, auto clutch, an H-Gate shifter, ETC ETC.

The problem of course,is that more esoteric features, such as telemetry, amazing tire models, and leaderboards, only go so far when you're essentially stock car racing. Bleh.

No doubt there are some features we'd love to see PD add/enhance that would make running a time trial so much easier. Take a look at GT5 Replay Deficiencies which was written almost exactly a year ago, but unfortunately PD hasn't incorporated many if any of the suggestions.

Haven't got around to saving a replay yet, but after an extended online session last night, my pedals returned to working properly. Not sure what caused it but I'm hoping it wasn't a temporary thing.

Edit: Sounds like something might be loose with the gas pedal. :indiff:

Red Flags

Do red flags given to submitted laps that have been reviewed/verified as not clean result in any retrospective alteration to results/handicaps? I guess they probably don't, but was curious to find out.

Red flagged laps are not included in the handicap calculation.

The system is set up so that red flags are not final until reviewed/signed off by the admin team. And weekly results are also not final until that has been completed.

Was wandering the same thing Matt...

So to clarify Kev, as a result of GTP_PASM's red flag in wk54 (sorry to bring that up again PASM), the published handicap in the unofficial results will change slightly once the results are declared legal and PASM's lap is removed?

Thanks Kev

This is correct.

Note that this is not always updated in the finalized posting, but is always updated in the master database used for promotion calculation.

Where can I find the page with total medals earned? I know this was asked before and I used the link to find the page, but I can't find it on my own.

Not a big deal, just wondering.

On the leaderboard, click on a username. ;)

EDIT: D'oh! Slower than Chuk, yet again!

Jon, I can't remember where I saw you say that you were going to the GP this weekend, but I just wanted to tell you: have fun, and make sure to wave our flag :gtpflag: so we can spot you in the crowd!

I think it was when he bowed out of the Transcammer TT, but I'll echo that. 👍 Have a great time Jon, I'll be watching late tonight if I can tear myself away from Spa.

@Dan and Lucas - thanks guys. Went for my annual pilgrimage on Friday. It's less busy and the F1 cars are on track for 3 hours over two sessions. Watched at both fast and slow corners to get a sense of how the cars react and who's confident. Got soaked though!!

Also saw a couple of V8 Supercar races, Formula Ford and Porsche Carrera Cup 👍
