Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place for it, but I was just looking for some info on the weekly time trial series!

Just how it's run and how you enter, is it open to all, that sort of thing!

First thing - you need to set up a GTP_PSN account (eg GTP_JoRdY105), it doesn't need to match your username or other PSN name, just have "GTP_" at the front.
Then, run the qualifier. You need to level up to 12 to run it, but just put some cars from your main account on borrow and run some seasonals and you will be fine.
Once your qualifier is processed, you are free to enter any of the time trials or events in WRS subforum.

Hey chaps. I wish I was able to race online again, but at the moment time just does not allow it. Getting home from work between 12 and 2am is not cool anymore :(

But don't worry, I will make a return shortly. Going to get back into WRS again and do the odd week here and there when I can rocking a DS3 :lol:

I just noticed that my game doesn't freeze for a fraction of a second anymore at the start of every lap during time trials (as it reloads the ghost). Is this due to a recent update? The fact that I just got a new wheel must be just a coincidence...
 
This is for the Admins. The last 3 times I have had to provide a replay, I upload one and fetchy is not picking it up.

Strange... somehow the replay wasn't fetched properly, i'm not sure what went wrong and it's especially strange since you've had it the last 3 times...

I've put a fallback in place which should properly fetch it from now on, in case something went wrong. At least, it now went ok for the last replay you uploaded.
 
I have been pretty inactive recently, both in GT5 and WRS. After a big home project I now have more time to spend behind the wheel.
Alas, my PS3 has died on me so I don't have access to the game until I find another console.

This Sunday I've been a gtplanet member for 10 years! I don't really recall joining or which game in the series I was playing and looking for info on, probably GT3 A-spec. I remember trying to beat the time trial times on GV in the NSX, but never could...so it was probably that which brought me here!

Only an interloper for most of those 10 years, Only became active because of WRS =D

When did you first qualify for the registry?
 
Only for GT5 in Jan 2011 I think. Wish I'd joined for the prologue events! Never bought that game.

How come you didn't get Prologue? Man I was pretty average back then... sat on the sofa with my DF Ex on my knee, only socks on my feet so I could feel the flimsy pedals. Them wer't' days.
 
To all my friends and fellow competitors here. Looks like I'm going to be absent from competition here for awhile as those life changes I spoke about in some of my previous posts are going to begin to happen. Going to be moving here real soon and don't know if I'll be back in time for the end of GT5. Hopefully I make it back in time as I still have some unfinished business here in the WRS. (D2 Gold was/is my goal here with GT5) If I don't, still pretty happy with my performance, going from D4 Bronze to D2 Bronze in a relatively short amount of time. I've learned a lot here from everyone and it has really been a great ride. Hopefully in GT6, I can achieve my ultimate goal, which is D1 Gold and an Academy finalist. A lofty goal indeed, but I feel with hard work and dedication, it can be done.

Anyways, just wanted to explain my temporary absence and give my thanks to everyone that has helped me down this road. Couldn't have done it without your all's help. Good luck to all still reaching for their goals....remember NGU. Hopefully see you all again in a month or so, if not, definitely in GT6. Thanks again everyone, its been great.

Never had a ps3 til Heavy Rain and GT5 came about, always been an xboxite :)

Prologue and WRS would have saved me a lot of hard work gaining promotions I guess, ill know for next time :lol:

Socks? Pah, I have the standard fanatec pedals - I can't even use socks if I want good feel. I'm getting callouses up in here.....
 
need help..So i unzipped my qualifier and got it in my PS3 Folder leading into the savedata folder. and when i PM the guy who manages the qualifiers..where in the world does it say to add an attachment plus i tried posting it on the thread and it didnt work? ive spent 4 hours on this after doing my qualifier. can someone just get me a visual for what i have to do? once i get this down. ill be fine. thanks all!

I think you probably have to upload the zipped file containing both replays to a site where it can be shared (google drive, dropbox, ...) and send the link to Vaxen by PM. Since I didn't have to send my replays, I'm only guessing, but I'm sure someone who actually knows will drop by soon and confirm this or tell you the right way to do it.
