Amazing list!! The memories it brought for me!! Wipeout for Ps1 was way ahead of almost anything else, Toca 2 was the only game I thought could give GT a run for its money, and the game I got a taste for Mount Panorama for the first time.
By the way I also keep my Ps1 (the first model, made in japan) and Ps2 in their original boxes and in working order together with some games. Plan to leave them for my niece see if she can make some money in 30 years time...
Surprised "The Italian job" is not on the list!

What, no Gran Prix for Atari 2600?

That's quite a habit you have there. :)

No sorry Baron, never had that console had Gameboy, SNES, N64, PS, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox360 and a WII although I donated that and all it's games to a deserving cause.

I was pretty shocked at the list when I started putting it together but it does represent the better part of 20 years and whilst I've worked really hard, I played even harder for a good many years :)

Still another 30 or so games that I didn't even list :nervous:

And none of the WRC games for PS3? :D

Nevertheless, that list needs a 👍.

Thanks and funnily I was looking at WRC the other day for the PS3 but then decided that GT6 is going to keep me going for quite some time.

I am pretty sure that list would be 'wanted' by some collectors.

Even better, a lot of those games are still in the wrapper. Years ago my house was burgled and they stole all my gaming equipment, games and memory cards. The insurance company sourced replacements for consoles and 95% of all the game stolen and I re-opened a few but most are still in the wrappers. Shame I lost all the game saves on those memory cards though :(

They will be worth something to someone for sure and that's a brilliant gift for her. The Italian Job I think came out around the time of Driver and Stuntman and TBH I didn't really enjoy either so the thought of another in a similar vein didn't really appeal.

BTW I still think Wipeout is one of the most groundbreaking and awesome games released. When it first came out the graphics and game play was far ahead of anything out at that time.

Burnout 3: takedown was amazing.

Loved all of the Burnout series Matt until the last one which was just rubbish IMO. The open environment and constant searching to find challenges drove me nuts and I still haven't done much more than about 25% of the game, just got bored with it and moved on. Such a shame because it was a brilliant series prior to that

Paradise meant hell for many of us then. I didn't like that game either, even after thinking the ps2 versions of Burnout were pretty close to being among the greatest arcade driving games for any console, ever.
They were the only driving games my wife and I were able to enjoy playing together, split screen takedowns were a lot of fun.

I must have been one of the very few that loved Paradise.

Based on sales it was a good game with over 1.8 million copies sold which puts it right up there with the Need for Speed series but then how many were bought by fans of the series like me that realised the game wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. Still counts as a sale even though I didn't warm to it. I doubt you are in a minority though 👍

I still lament the fact I couldn't get on with it. It has a good feel in terms of game play and decent graphics, it was just the navigation to find challenges that drove me insane especially as I kept doing donuts on the same intersection and hence doing the same challenge over and over....lol

I have a question that I can't find I clear answer to about WRS.

Are time trials and races different leagues, or are time trials and races all part of the same league? I can't guarantee il be able to take part in many races but can do TTs as and when I have time.

So is there a weekly TT series and a weekly race series? Or a race series with some TTs in it?

You are free to participate in whatever you like best. Time Trials and/or Online Races.
However the online races follow the TT almost 100%. Running the TT you can consider yourself in an advantage. ;)

So there is a TT series and a separate race series? That's what I can't see a simple answer too.

So that are separate? A TT competition and a race

Yes, they are separate events/series and you can enter both either or none, it's up to you 👍

Well, submitted my replays. Not expecting great results. After the first hour or two I hated every minute trying to find extra time, but I take that less as a sign of a bad combo than as a reminder that I need to improve my skill. I ran everything with the driving line off after a few laps so I could start getting into the mindset of having to analyze what I am doing in depth rather than finding how far from the line I can go.

Since there are a few Fanatec users here, and no replies in the thread I made in the Sim Racing Hardware section, I was hoping for some feedback (if possible).

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/question-about-a-fanatec-wheel-issue.296805/

That's the best I can describe the problem I had with my wheel. Of course, with my wheel long out of warranty, and being won from here so I don't have an invoice from a purchase, I'm not sure if there's anything Fanatec can do about my problem.

I just set the slowest Gold lap in the FT-1 Seasonal at Laguna so all my PSN friends can feel good about themselves. :P 1'34.951 (1'35.000 is Gold).

I remember seeing Patrick, Daniel, Matt, Mike, Dale, Gayle, Airsick, and Joe's blue lines. Weird, I think it only shows the ones close to you, not *all* your friends' lines.
Because I went to my friends LB and saw Bart, Chris, Jammy, JTV, and Paul all ahead in the 1'31-1'32 range, but never saw their blue lines.

And some of you (not mentioned above) have SRF on. Let's just agree to leave it off and not worry about reaching the fake limit, guys. 👍

I was in the same boat Lucas, could not keep up with Jon, and others but just managed a time under 1'35. No shame there if you did it with all aids off or using only abs. About the shown blue lines : normally it shows the 15 persons wich are around you, but when you have 30 friends on your list and youre first round is in the lower part (last 15) then only those blue lines will be shown. When you improve the blue lines change (meaning the top 15 gets lined up with you).

This is what I love about these forums, I had no idea about the way those lines worked and as no one loves me (actually I'm just anti-social but don't tell anyone :dopey: ) I don't have more than 15 friends so I'd never have found out...Nice one Frank

Friend request incoming. :grumpy: You can't have Golded it slower than me.

You're making me break my anti-social behaviour ....umm not even my brother did it that slow and he has MS :P

Edit: Not impressed with the handling of that new FT-1, damn thing has no brakes!

I can appreciate that, as we have a large MS population here as well (and I don't mean :mad:Microsoft).

Just be a good brother, and props to you, Mike. 👍 That, and a little sibling racing rivalry should go a long way there, I'd think. :)

👍 Will do

He's lucky, only has a mild condition that he's lived with for over a decade now (he's older than me by 2 years). Still a shame though especially as he had to give up his motorcyles. I was always cars he was always two wheels and he used to scare the living 🤬 out of me when I went pillion with him

Is he running on your account or does he have his own account? I have a couple slots to add friends. :D

He has his own account Lucas but he doesn't accept anyone as friends on PSN. Took him 3 months to accept my request! I've tried to get him to join the WRS but he's not really interested, he just likes to do his own thing and that's cool I guess :)

Thanks very much for the offer though mate, that was really good of you 👍

Seasonals and SFR? Yes for me. I just want to do them with as less effort as possible just to get the paintchip.
Did most of them with DS3 so far. Gold = move on. I don't care what times others are running there.

Where's the "Unlike" button? :grumpy:

These can be fun if we're all running the same settings. The M4 @ Willow was a cool combo too.

Need to friend your main acct. :)
