I think there might be quite a reshuffle after S3. I feel I am quite weak there, mainly because I just don't know what's possible!

I've figured out all the angles that fling your car off the track, including the one where you end up in the pit lane (backwards). None of them are particularly fast.

I hope I get another hour or two with this, I think I can squeeze a little more, but I'm scraping to repeat and improve a few tenths now. Looking at the replay, I'm not even using all the track, but felt close while driving!

@Never2fast1 I think you’ve definitely got me beat this week as my splits are slower

Good news is I managed to smash down the wall & get a better lap time
Bad news is the replay cuts off just before the line

I just hope I can repeat the time again!

As I said I would struggle in the faster cars using roof cam instead of “kiddie cam”

The second sector is where I am struggling most as I struggle with the sense of speed.

I will not be giving up on this though as I can see the benefits

I find it bizarre that anyone who has actually driven a car in real life would use that view, would you try and drive your own car from a para-sail?

I like kiddy cam to get a good view of the track, you can see a lot more with that perspective, but I always felt I did things too late with it when racing. Bumper, bumper, bumper.

I still use the chase/kiddie cam in campaign because a play with a mate who can only drive that way, with a controller, and in auto If I'm on my own my favourite visually is the in car view but i'm slow with it, bumper cam for me.

Urrggg heat, humidity I remember those things all too well mate from years ago living in Singapore when AC was only had by the super rich, All we had was open doors and ceiling fans. You have my sympathy and hope things cool down a bit for you soon .

I can't run use kiddie cam anymore it's just too odd and am a bumper cam guy now for anything and everything that requires a bit more than my average. I do use in car a lot when I'm just tooling around having fun

For the first few weeks of WRS I was using in car view, until we did Bathurst & I was hitting walls every two seconds. It was then that I change to bumper view & haven’t looked back since.
Every racing game I ever played up until Project Cars 2 & GTS I used kiddie cam but that was with the controller & automatic, since I got my wheel it just doesn’t feel right. Plus it seems so slow on GTS

100 miles later and some improvement after a what started as two bitty runs in a short session with lots of restarts......took a break refocused and found some better lines/consistency for a short while and some time !

Still more time to find as best lap did not have any fastest sectors. Hopefully can keep the consistency in the longer session tomorrow.

I used to only use bumper too. I started using the roof cam in the TTs and it really helped me. I still use bumper for races tho, I rely on the mirror.

Finding the second corner a little tricky as always, I look for the ariel away of in the distance to judge when to put my foot down fully.

Using +2. in the first part of the second sector, I found staying in 3rd until the down hill right then into 2nd to be best way for me to take it.

It is a fun one, once you get the hang of it. I started to really enjoy this one yesterday. You start finding that rythum and it just flows

S2 is challenging. The videos posted earlier in the thread help a lot. Really pay attention to the braking points for T5. Also the lines for T3 and T4.

My best times were using 3rd thru T3 and T4. Shift to 4th down hill and stay in 4th to the hump and shift to 5th.

Only a tenth faster in splits but a better excit speed for T3 and a much,much better endtime.

Love the combo,never thought I would do a TT at Big Willow but this week changed my view completely.👍
