Loosing a huge amount of time out there. 2 tenths in T1, 3 tenths in T2, a tenth in T3, and 2 tenths coming to the line. :banghead:

Well, I have no idea how to get around this track. I can see a way to mid 46's but haven't managed it yet. I'll take one more look Saturday morning.

Glad my tune is working well for people.

And we meet again, this time in D2B :)
I don't call anything bellow 22.0 bad start. As long as I get 21.xxx I keep going. I saw my first 1'11.4 and 1'47.7 yesterday.

Yes, happy to have you i D2, well deserved...there is a lot of potential in this track, i saw a 1.11.0xx, but messed up....

My best is still 1'11.300 T2 but I got the car tuned too aggressive now so the s3 is just too tough. I'm gonna go back to 5/13/7 diff tomorrow and see if I can make it work.

I liked Bart's tweaks to Baron's tune. 👍

But turning the driving line off meant I spent the majority of the night restarting to figure out turn 1. :dunce:
A little ashamed, but the best brake marker I found was to look at the lap timer count to 1.000 and then 2.000 and then brake before it got to 3.000.
Just couldn't find a marker that stuck out.

But then I moved on to clean up the rest of the lap with a PB in T3:

1'10.783
1'46.567

I couldn't let sleeping dogs lie:

My Sector 1 and 2 were FAR and away the best I've managed by a significant amount! It's so satisfying to feel like an alien just for a few corners. I made the mistake of peeking at my T3 split and was so shocked I went a little easy on the final few corners. My submission has been accepted this time and so if I don't get to return to this combo I'm pretty satisfied 👍

I drive with the racing line on 100% of the time. I know it's unrealistic and probably lame of me but it adds to the number of markers I can use getting around the track and it also helps me to feel I'm correctly positioned all around the track. Not that I follow the line but staying either side of it and crossing over it at consistent points is helpful. I should probably lose that habit though.

If I was pure time-trialing I would use the line too, for the exact same reasons. 👍 I used it for the majority of GT's 1 through 5.
But in our online races, when you're following someone very closely into a braking zone, they are blocking you from seeing the all-important red part of the line.
So it's best to have markers on the sides. This is the first time I've had a "clock" brake marker though.

Awesome T1!

EDIT: Setting the clock to 17:55 puts the sun about the same position as it is in my avatar. But I couldn't figure out how to make the sunset all orange like it was in the Bathurst trailer that I clipped the picture from. :irked:

 Right back at'cha! I think this was the first lap where I braked early enough for the final turn in the downhill part. Still up to 0.5 to find for a perfect lap though. 👍

Such is the life of a time trialist. Always something somewhere.

You should stop copying my t1 splits. That's twice now. Get your own! :D Now i gotta go find a new one.

Have you tried turning on the turn indicator and counting after it starts flashing? Usually 1 1/2 to 2 Mississippi's will get you in the ball park.

And go straight to the 5's!!!!

Poor Baron... supplied everyone with a great tune and now hes all alone ... swimming in a sea of yellow.. heehee.. swim baron! Swim out of the pee pee water and into the blue water!

Sorry. I'm tired and it seems funny at this moment.. when i wake up i'll call myself an idiot.

Still finding some time..

Will post my tune soon, be good to see if it helps anyone else

Looks like I am struggling in t3. In t1 and 2, I am a little faster than some above me, but t3 has me over .2 slower than anyone above me, at the very minimum. Bit of practice needed I think.
Have clocked up 336 kms as of last night, and was over the moon at my LB lap, but t3 has confused me. Thought I was doing well through there. Must be losing too much speed over the hill at the very beginning, and the hairpin.
