A real test of patience w/ this one. I splashed around a little bit with the combo and was just flustered trying to keep my heavy foot from constantly throwing my run away. I may just use the TT to wire the combo for the online race. It will be as much a challenge as my connection not letting me down.

What is the right line in the parabolica? Is it faster to follow the rubber on the road or cut in a little more to get a straighter line and stay full throttle longer?

I am constantly trying different lines, but the one thing that did help me was to get to 4th early, I am not waiting to wind 3rd gear out. You will be able to get on the gas much earlier.

Ok, so... I did one of my best laps, but excitement betrayed me and I forgot to check if Grip Reduction was set to real... Will submitting the replay to Fetchy clear my doubts?

Well I now know that I've managed to wear out my G27. :grumpy: I've struggled all week to find any consistency or even basic car control, so last night I dug my DFGT out of the closet and had MUCH better car control, though the pedals are too different for me to improve my time. My G27 has a wide dead zone, lots of backlash, weak FFB, and the wheel is wobbly. I've also killed a G25 previous to this one, looks like playing for countless hours takes its toll. :scared:

So now I need a new wheel, I've read various posts and reviews, and I'm torn between another G27, T500rs, and the Fanatec GT3 with Elite pedals. I know there are forums about this, I've read several, but I respect Y'alls opinions on this. I'm leaning towards Fanatec, load cell brakes sound good, but T500rs has its advantages too.

I hope I can improve my time this week, my best lap happened on day one. My T1 sucks, my T2 and T3 are decent, overall an OK lap, not bad for a worn out wheel, but not near the lap time I want. :(

Yup, should do :)

The FXX is a brilliant car, just the right amount of lift off oversteer to be fun, but not killing you everytime you are off throttle. It really depends on how abrupt the weight shift happens. I like that. Needless to say, I'm having an absolute hoot! :D First splits:

T500RS is an awesome wheel with better FFB than the Fanatec but I don't personally have experience of FFB on a Fanatec so am quoting others. The pedals on the Thrustmaster are a bit so so. There may be an alternative very soon though, a T500RS coupled with the Fanatec clubsport pedals. See >here< for details .

Being more aggressive through Lesmo paid off. Unfortunately lost a major chunk of my gains in T3, for only 0.14s at the line... :grumpy:

I submitted the replay and Fetchy accepted it. So I think it's fine.
Posting the splits, while I'm at it. I'm very satisfied with what I've done.

Finally cracked the 2-oh barrier

Starting to loosen up on the reins and letin this filly run. Soft setting the corners seems to be the trick, a little tail out D-stall and she stays put so I can gradually start to lean on the edges and away we go......

Very tricky combo......

Since the hangover eased up a little towards the evening, I decided to do some ghost chasing after all.

Starting to see how I can improve my T2 now. I'll give it the last stretch tomorrow, with less shaky hands and better concentration.

Well I managed to keep the car on the track at last. Very slow splits and I don't think I can do much better unless a magic lap appears somehow
An alien oriented combo I guess...

This is a whole OTHER discussion :) I wrote my opinion on the matter here: T500 Install

Fanatec. 👍 I went from G25 to Fanatec GT3 and now to Fanatec CSW. The GT3 was a great wheel... I wore out the Alcantra I used it so much. Smooth solid FFB even on off-road tracks. From what Kevin and Tim have said, the T500 has awful reliability. People say the same about Fanatec but I've only experienced minor problems that were easily rectified and never had a problem with Fanatec Customer Service either, hence sticking with their kit now.

My DFGT wheel is starting to slip the gear teeth, does anyone know if there are parts available for them.

After the Red Bull fan cars and now this I think I will be looking for replacement parts for my DFGT soon!
