Thanks for all the replies considering my straightline braking problem with the FXX, much appreciated! I've given it a couple tries today with all the tips I've gotten, and I've come to a conclusion that it's partly me and partly the wheel that are to blame.
This is because as I mentioned before, the wheel loosens up after about 30 minutes of driving, and today I gave it some tries with the wheel being "fresh" and not touched for about 10 hours, and for the first couple laps it was much, much easier to control the car under braking. After about 20 minutes the wheel started to lose it's resistance again and I started to realize that it's much harder to control the car as the deadzone of the wheel grew larger. It's next to impossible to give it precise inputs when it has absolutely 0 resistance.
And this leads to...
Yeah, I'm afraid my wheel might be on it's last legs too, as there is a huge difference between how it feels during the first couple laps compared to what it feels like after a little while of driving, I don't think that should happen if the wheel was in mint condition. Not sure if there's anything I can do to fix it, but I might open it up as a last, desperate act. Otherwise I'm in for a break of GT6 until I can afford a new wheel.
Also thanks for your kind words! The effort I put into the S1 TT seems to have cost me a new wheel and partly a wheelstand too, but I guess it was worth it.

It's true that the car squirms under braking, but sorry it sounds to me like the motor in your wheel is dying. Electrical problems tend to get worse as temperature rises, like after 30 minutes of use. I think we can blame your wheel because after seeing your week 1 result I would argue that your driving skills are top notch.
