Too long? Did you set it up right? The ARSE tune has shorter gears than mine, and I'll be redlining all the way from turn 1 to turn 2 just about, which is where all the power is. I didn't think there'd be much difference in straight line speed between the 2 tunes. Hmm, that means that something about the ARSE tune is better at turn 2.
Maybe the soft rebound?
I have mine to speed set to 255KM. If I set it higher I only lose speed from the line till turn 2.

But tbh, I do like your Toe settings better than arse. And mine back camber is set little higher. I did just improved mine times so I think its in the rebound settings. I will post the times later since I think I can improve just a little bit more.

Am I mistaken, or do I still have the fastest second sector, let down only by the first sector?

I don't know how time consuming updating the leaderboard is, but would be ace if we could have a new colum with sector times aswell as the splits - that would maybe call for too much work for the editors? Sorry if this have been board up before.

I must say that I like the initiative of those who started the site and doing the updates, big thanks from me :)👍 I check it out a lot.

Cheers

You mean the shock absorber settings? I tried both mine and ARSE and noticed little difference if any between the 2. Maybe it really is just driver difference, the people using ARSE just happen to have started going faster at the point in time of using it.

That's a good idea monoha, would be interesting, but if it's too much work then best to let it be.:)

Its a fast calculation, which i also do myself with the other D3 racers to compare - but could also be nice to see the overall view on who makes the best sector times.

But I totally agree to let it be, if its too much work for implementing it and the updating part of it :)

Cheers

Yeah I mean the Damper settings :P. For me one of the key points is getting the up shifts just at the right time.

Well if the power graph is telling the truth then you should hold ever gear as long as possible, which I have been doing on the straights almost to the km/hr (i.e. 1km/hr to spare in every gear).

Yup same here, but doing that in the 'banking' of the last corner for example is tricky, sometimes it will jump in fuelcut earlier than normal :(

Spend some time again on this combo today and when I first looked at the leader board, well, I frankly was blown away! Man, what great splits sofar. 👍

Reading all that hubbub about the a.r.s.e. tune made me decide to give that one a try, just for the heck of it. It feels nicer in T1, but TLD's tune seems to suit me better in the other two sectors. So I made a little combo of both (so far only changing the back camber to 0.3 i.s.o. 0.6). :)

I gained only a little in the splits, but 3/10 at the finish line.

T1: 31.766
T2: 53.646

Well I had a nightmare on Friday got my fastest time breaking the 32 and 54 barrier only to go and forget to save the dam thing in my need to check it being clean!! :grumpy:

BUT got up today and tired the ARSE tune and within half an hour dropped a load of time. I'm not sure if its completely the tune as I seem to be getting some better lines in the corners now too. Thanks to TLD tune earlier in the week thou 👍

T1 31.907
T2 53.779

Not my best last corner but I'm happy with it. Think I'll give it one last session then submit.

I've been doing that too:tup:, any variant is detrimental to the terminal speed.

New splits, still can't seem to manage the T2 sector times, but I am pleased to have improved my overall lap time.

Hi all, I thought I would run this week as I have some time and HSR is nice and easy. :)

Splits from my second session.

Dan said it looks like I stopped for a cuppa in the esses.

31.982

I'm feeling dam good just got an even quicker time :) Think I'm either getting or could even be at my limit now. A few more laps and I think I'll call it a day.

T1 31.900
T2 53.682

31.782
53.584

I'll have a last try tomorrow, but this was very close to my limit, so I don't think I'll improve this one

Hey dudes and dudetts, First session splits. :)

T1 32.158
T2 54.202

Would hope I can improve a little on this. 👍

I think I've hit my limit. Did over 50 laps and was unable to better my T2 time. I did, however, manage a much better final corner so I have a slightly better total time but a few thousands worse T2. Will do another session right now and then I will submit.

White, two sugars.👍;)

The ARSE tune does feel quite different, immediately went .1 quicker in T1, then promptly blew it, possibly stopping for a vindaloo in the esses! Got the night off, so going to have a big session on this.

Improved splits:

T1: 31.803
T2: 53.642

And a nice 0.4 off at the line from my time on Tuesday 👍

There's 0.1 left in my lap and I'll probably have to spend the whole weekend chasing it. Going to be one of those WRS, just like the Bus Stop episode with the R34 a few weeks back.

All the best
Maz

End of session, time about to be submitted.

The tunes are even, ARSE is better in T1, TLD is better in T2, they are very equal in T3. I ran 30 laps tonight (15 with each tune), about 20 of those laps were within 1 tenth of each other, including about 5 within one hundredth of each other (all being the best laps).

My limit has been reached. :)

Don't have the patience to continue chasing thousands. Submitting with

T1: 31.796
T2: 53.600

WHOA 30 more posts to process for the board ... well not now, but first thing in the morning 👍

I'll give this one a go when I get a chance 👍 I've actually never competed in WRS so I'm looking forward to doing so :) Thanks to Maz for talking me into it

New splits:

T1: 31.724
T2: 53.548

Have seen a couple 31.6xx's in T1, so I may have .05 to .1 left, but not much more.

The updated leaderboard now has 38 positions of which 10 are Division 4. I don't know if I ever saw a board this long

I will give it a last go tonight after work - perhaps more gents (sorry sammy) will be online for some practice rounds?
