Hmmmm, as things are so close at HSR I wasn't intending to post the tune, especially as a good friend has also contributed to it.

As a compromise I'll post the A.R.S.E. tune mk1. It's not the finished version but it's still capable of 53.5xx's at T2. The Mk2 version has a few small changes to serveral of the settings, but to be honest, you're far more likely to reduce your lap times by better driving than tiny changes unless you're capable of running very consistent lines lap after lap. Though you're welcome to make changes yourselves ;)

Ride Height: -40/-40
Spring Rates: 9/1
Damper: 1/1
Toe: 0.00/-0.30
Camber: 1.0/0.6

Brake Balance: 3/8
Max Turn Angle: 42

Gear Ratios:
1st: 2.809
2nd: 1.629
3rd: 1.280
4th: 1.050
5th: 0.880
6th: 0.765
Final: 4.395

Some improvement, keep bouncing it off the top rev's...frustrating as it just sounds like it wants to go a few more. Got some work to do for T2.

31.819
53.853

I have done that countless times aswell. It's even more annoying when it happens on the straight, that ruins the next lap also.

Those are some insane shock settings  will try them out tonight.

Had one that was 2/10 quicker at the line but I am not altogether certain that I am not scraping the barrier in the final turn so I won't submit that one.

Seeing everybody improving I will have to try it after a good nightrest, to wasted atm :Z.

I had one last run and improved my laptime.
Submitted with the following splits:

T1: 31.725
T2: 53.517

Second and last session

Used A.R.S.E tune, thanks for providing it, Stotty :)👍

T1 0'31.956
(seen a .905 once)
T2 0'53.912
Last sector didn't go so well, but only 0.05x worse then I can do

Submitted
Cheers

Had another session tonight, managed to gain a bit of time.

T1: 31.686
T2: 53.583

Matt.

First (clean) splits:

T1: 31.824
T2: 53.820

Big thanks to Tzayad 👍 for the driving tips last night,
and thanks also to Stotty  for sharing the A.R.S.E tune.
Maybe another .150 to .250 to come off T2, just a matter of tidying
things up in the S bend.

I can see how the ARSE tune would work, and incredible splits Nicko.👍 I'll just stick with my tune though, no offence.

Edit: Well I adopted the spring rates from the ARSE tune as I felt it made the biggest difference, but the splits you guys are posting is driver skill, and I can't match your laps. I'm submitting with my now apparently sub-par lap.:indiff:

Board Updated

Edit:

I did 4 sessions 15 laps each with no change :(

Will give it a last try tonight or tomorrow morning then will submit...
 all and good luck, pretty fast splits this week

It's funny, last night when I logged off I was the fastest in Div 2. Now I am in fifth place.

Am I mistaken, or do I still have the fastest second sector, let down only by the first sector?

Now that everyone seems to be switching to the A.R.S.E. tune I just wanted to say thanks for supplying us with a very good tune right at the start of the week. I presume you do this because you like to. But you still put (allot) of effort in it and immediately share it with the group in stead of using it just for your own profit! So thanks and many respect from this side! 👍

I wouldn't put to much effort in it (now that I'm first on luxy in Div 4 for once :P)

1st night out, loosing time in 2 and 3, can't seem to keep it tight enough through 2 or 3, I kick the tail out but then get understeer.

T1: 32.301 32.221
T2: 54.563 54.261

Just went back and made a ride height adjustment, and shaved off three tenths off my T2, woo hoo. And that was on my opening lap, after lap 1, I wasn't able to find the same groove. More time to improve.

I was looking at the T2 splits yesterday and I think I was quicker by about 0.006... from the drivers who'd said which tune they were using it looked like your tune was 0.05 to 0.1 quicker in T2, but the ARSE tune was a similar amount quicker in T1. Of course the biggest variable is the idiot behind the wheel so this may not prove anything :D

Finally nailed the first 2 sectors... not quite as good a final bend, but now within 0.04 of my 'dream time'...

T1 31.691
T2 53.385

Well Andy, I just wanna try the A.R.S.E tune it might be better than mine at the S-curve at least :sly: mine has a bit of understeer

Yes you're right, your second sector is just faster than mine, probably a lot faster now.:sly: I wish I had gotten T1 right, I'd be a bit further up the board at least. It also shows that it's not necessarily the handling of the ARSE tunes that's better, as my T2 is as fast or faster than most people's. When switching from my tune to the ARSE tune, did anyone notice an increase in straight line speed? Otherwise it's all at turn 2 where the ARSE tune is making ground on mine (and considerable ground at that), and nowhere else.

Straight line speed is the same for me. I only tryed 3laps atm xD. But I think thats is because your gear settings were a bit to long final gear. That was the first thing I changed.

Too long? Did you set it up right? The ARSE tune has shorter gears than mine, and I'll be redlining all the way from turn 1 to turn 2 just about, which is where all the power is. I didn't think there'd be much difference in straight line speed between the 2 tunes. Hmm, that means that something about the ARSE tune is better at turn 2.

Updated splits:
T1: 32.215
T2: 54.333

Not much of an improvement, but I had a good last turn and gained ,3 at the line.

Big thanks to Stotty for sharing the now ledgendary A.R.S.E tune 👍

Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but as everybody's seems to be improving their times, it's time for me to fire up the PS3 and have a go!!

There's some very impressive splits there, well done guys 👍
