Blew sector 3 again so only a marginal improvement about .026 so still a lot to find. I'm not getting how to do a .3 in the first sector, I'm missing something for sure.

What DF are you runnin?

DTM
There you go. There is your answer

So what downforce gives a .3 sector 1? I tried 300/300 but it didn't really change much, however sometimes if I slide into the hairpin I get close to a .400 but its not consistent as sometimes the car insists on sliding into the grass

That's it for me this week. No more time.
Gained .5 at the line. Wish I more time. Hopefully I'll do better on next weeks.

I was not going to take part this week. Not a big fan of the track.

Probably a 50.5xx in there if I can hook up all the corners properly.

More hit and miss on t3 with lower DF, but when I get it right, it is not slower. Must be doing something wrong. Will try some of the suggested df settings at the weekend.

Put a little downforce back in.

Had my best T3 by almost half a second which as history shows, is saying absolutely nothing. As in:

This is the first event that I'm taking part in, so thought I would do a proper introduction :)
I'm Johann, or "Jo", from Cape Town (South Africa). IT Consultant by day, absolute car fanatic and GT6 racer by night :P Oh, and I'm also on the national committee for the Audi Club of South Africa - my other passion.

I've completed the GT6 non-online events and decided that this would be a nice challenge to keep the game fun... I hope to give you guys some competition down the line (as much as is possible with a DS3), but for now I'm focusing on learning how to do proper tuning from the experts here - Thanks to all the people who share their tunes, as I'm still useless at that... and without a proper tune, there is no way to post competitive times.

I'm currently on just over 21 sec in T1 and 51 in T2 (can't remember the exact splits - played last night and I'm currently at work) Hope to improve on those times over the weekend... ;)

10 more laps, same Sutuki + EDK gears tune (aero 300/300). I'm not getting turn 1, best is a mid 20.6, usually 20.7's.
But I found a quarter second in the T2 hairpin. :) Then had a T3 that was .004 slower than last night's.

OK, I guess it wasn't just 10 laps, it was 10 laps after doing almost 30 back-to-back with Kev online. :D

Wish I could have managed more than 2 sessions this week, but I doubt I'll get another go. Even though I hate Fuji, I really enjoyed flailing this car around. Thanks for the combo!
How nice of you to join me back here, with the only two 50.6's on the board. Hehe.

I can highly recommend that tune! Made my sector 3 7 tenths faster within 5 lps!

Tested all tunes now and find it hard to choose between @Sutuki and @EDK tune and it will probably end with an hybrid of these two tunes. All in all I did 38 laps got 18 with @EDK tune and improved to:

20.619
51.219

T1 and T3 are fine but I struggle on the lines to follow in T2 do I have to take the 100R nice and tidy or more widely? The left hander that follows I keep away from the curb and let the car go wide to the outer curb. Or is it better to cut it and take it more straight? Youre thoughts please so I can put up a decent T2 on the LB

Thanks in advance.

My tune is somewhere between Sutuki's and EDK's. The first one was too wild and the second one too tight. My camber is 0.6/0.4 toe 0/0.

I avoid the apex curb in the left hander after 100R. Putting the power down early is very important (with my tune I can go WOT just before the apex).
I suspect aliens will be using the right curb on entry to slide the car :)

Will try the rear camber for sure and my front is already on .6 Just before the online test I did a run with the hybrid tune from @EDK and @Sutuki and could now improve my time again with 3 tenths on the line but with again slower splits:confused: How strange is that. Here my splits from that session

Thanks for the advice @mr_lab_rat @Meister Fetz

I predict that by the end of the weekend you will need to run 50.8xx T2 just to be in the top 20! That's crazy but it's also my goal (I have seen 51.1 so there is hope).

I'm not sure if I should be happy that I called it or sad that I just dropped out :)
