Thank you, just thank you Kevin. This is a car I do enjoy, and that quite suites my noob-ness.

Im totally flat out this week and decided to run a few quick laps. Im sure with some tweaking of my tune and a bit more time spent i could have scared Animera a little more this week :sly: Time submitted with splits of:

T1: 51.851

T2: 1'38.229

Good luck to all competitors. 👍

Interesting, in the lead-up to GT5 it will be interesting to see what drivers adjust to new tracks the fastest, even if this is only 1 corner we've never done before.
If I don't have an exact tune for this event already I'll have one soon-ish. Got a lot of the day on Wednesday off, in the morning I'm getting a sports exhaust and bigger throttle body fitted to my Ute.:) That night SHOULD be basketball, but in the arvo I may have time.

Edit: Scratch that, no basketball Wednesday for me, either we have a first round bye or our team wasn't added to the list despite being nominated for competition.:odd:

Scratch that scratch, there was some sort of error, and I am indeed playing tomorrow night again. So I only have tomorrow arvo tomorrow to make a setup and make some laps.

I think Animera adjusted the fastest. If you look at the leaderboard. I wil be the slowest

Animera, no suprises there.:D

@ Pauli and a bit off-topic: nice UTE there, I like it. And I bet you're looking forward to your optimitzations a lot!? I'm hoping to fire up my project soon, maybe even next WE :) (then I have to come up with new excuses for WRS though, hmmm) Looked at your setup, too. LOL when I saw that rag lying on the floor next to it, I bet thats for drying wheel and hands? Got one lying left of my seat as well :sly:

Thanks. I am really looking forward to the upgrades, not sure what kind of power increases I can expect though.:) I keep forgetting what your car is.:dunce: Refresh my memory?:D
Edit: Oh, and that's a pair of socks on the ground, my driving socks, not a rag.:sly:

One run and I bet I still won't be able to match those splits.:D

Socks!? Man what shoe size do you have?
Car wise just check my profile to keep it short here.
And to what power to expect check this: http://www.pumaracing.co.uk, especially the section "Evaluating an Engine's Power Potential" will be of high interest to you. It's a brilliant page and a fun read, too 👍

Put together a quick tune for this weeks' car, so I guess I'll save my ghost and grab splits while I'm at it even though it's only about ten laps worth of effort.

T1: 52.052
T2: 1:38.554

Ran a non-chicane lap to see where I get on the online leaderboard, and cracked the top 40 and fastest Evo IX Tuned so far. I think the tune is good enough to get to EDKs' Amuse. :sly:

I take my hat off to everyone achieving sub 52s for T1.

First splits:

52.563
1'39.286

52.785
1'39.578

Not happy with the tune atm, I just feel for a 4WD car on R3's, it should be better.

Finally had a chance to have a first run at this, considerably less embarassing than last weeks effort!

T1 - 53.340
T2 - 1'40.731

T1 - 52.021
T2 - 1'38.726

Have run 51.7XXs T1 with 1'38.1xx T2, but binned it because I was staring at the ghost lap in the mirror. :dunce:

Still much tweaking to do with gears and suspension, car feels a little bit too pivoty at the minute.

Great fun, good times lads! 👍

First attempt at this combo.

Anybody else using R3/R2's for this one?
I didn't try R3's all around as this car was setup this way already.
Only did a little tinkering with the tuning so far.

53.342
1'40.475

T1: 0'52.640
T2: 1'39.062

Now to try and tune it. The car likes the straight bits, hates the bendy bit.

Phillip.

Slight improvement again,

53.178
1'40.886

I hate the spoon!:grumpy:

Yeah, it can go 🤬 itself.

"Fork" is censored? Interesting ...

---------------------------

More slight improvement,

53.257
1'40.541

53.071
1'40.502

T1 was not as good but I finally took the hairpin decently and I'm finally starting to zero in on the braking point for the motorcycle chicane.

Well I have literally done 1 or 2 laps with my completed tune, but I did a few, still not many though, with intermediate stages. I clearly have much to learn about the new chicane, but at least I'm not getting embarrassed. Tune will be up later once I improve my lap time.:P

T1- 51.775
T2- 1'38.382

T1- 51.526
T2- 1'37.711

Certainly not getting embarrassed now.:D Although I have to admit, when I turned the PS3 off, Animera was online working on this.:nervous: It's also been incredibly frustrating, if I could put together all my best corners/sectors that .711 would quickly become more like .3xx.:grumpy: I had a T1 involving a .421 once, and I've certainly done the bike chicane a few tenths faster.:ouch:

Edit: Oh, and I've run out of time to post my tune today.

I'm still using R3/R3... probably the reason why I've not improved by much.

New splits:

52.327
1'38.958

Huh???
Do you mean that it's possible that R2 or R1 are faster than R3?
(if so, I really am going to use R2 or R3. I misses a lot of speed :dunce: )

But is it allowed for this race?

53.338
1'41.133

any suggestions on the FFB setting? I ran it on 1 for this session.

This event is stated as a 750pp maximum, I assume we can run under that as well. Tires are not stated.

Most of what goes on with a front-engined AWD car is up front, so you typically don't need as much tire/downforce on the rear.
👍

👍

You can put R1's on the back, Go with Max power, Min Weight, Run close to Max Front DF, with Min Rear DF, and hit right at 750PP.

That was the Weight/Power/Tire/DF combination I was running in testing.

Of course, if someone likes more rear grip or DF, they can adjust power or weight to stay under 750PP.

And if someone really wants to run with less than 750, that's their prerogative, although I don't see any advantage in it. ;)

I assume we can talk about the motorcycle chicane since its part of this week's race and before T2. Any tips on tackling that little thing? I have a good run through to T1 for my Div ranking but I'm easily losing about 0.5s in the second sector and most of that has to be in that area.

Can't wait to see Paulie's tune. 👍

Moto chicane seems slipprier than the rest of the place to me. I got 4-wheelspin in third gear in there.
