Apologies for double posting, but this:

EDK
You can put R1's on the back, Go with Max power, Min Weight, Run close to Max Front DF, with Min Rear DF, and hit right at 750PP.

is incorrect.

Max power, min weight, R3/R2 tires, 19/20 aero is 750pp.
Max power, min weight, R3/R1 tires, 20/25 aero is also 750pp.

any suggestions on the FFB setting? I ran it on 1 for this session.

Nice to see you in here, Jake. :)

I've been running with my wheel FFB at 6 since the Demo. Prologue did not have the same feel, so I felt the need to bump it up.

I think it's mostly personal preference.

Sorry, that's what I get for working from memory. I must have tried both R1's and R2's. And not at the PS3 just now. :sly:

The green area’s next to the rumble are not part of the track are the rules. But can I run with 2 wheels over it?

Thought I had new splits to go with my setup tweaks ... shorted the chicane by about 5 mm. :ouch: Not the moto one either, plain old Casio.

So no new splits, but posted my tune for those who can't or are just curious. Click the "cbc" in my sig.

Yes,you can.
Two wheels in line on the green and two in line on the track is legal.

Thanks, as long as i stay with the other 2 wheels on the rumble's?

You need at least 2 wheels on or vertically in line with Tarmac and/or (Red and White) Rumbles. If in doubt, park you car at the point in question, take a pic, and post it. 👍

I assume we can talk about the motorcycle chicane since its part of this week's race and before T2. Any tips on tackling that little thing? I have a good run through to T1 for my Div ranking but I'm easily losing about 0.5s in the second sector and most of that has to be in that area.

Can't wait to see Paulie's tune. 👍

Both Sjaak and EDK have posted since, so I presume so.

Making sure I hit the first apex early feels good to me, anything else and I lose speed all down to Spoon.

I stay far to the left before braking and turning in.
I try to get an early and safe entry so I can accel from the left apex as soon as possible, actually before the apex if done right.
That gives a longer run to spoon.

Don't know if it's correct, but it feels right. :dunce:

I find if I come in too wide I have to use too much lock to get around the left apex and can't hit the throttle as early for the right apex and run too spoon. That said, I'm not happy with my tune right now, but I doubt I'll change my approach.

I can't seem to get my tuning right for this car/track combo. Any tuning tips out there?

Cheers

Gettin' a little better every time out on the track:)

My current time is on R3s at all 4 corners, and I'm (nowhere near being a fast driver like some guys) in 2nd place only to Ian by 0.050sec. I also feel I've got another 3 tenths left in the car at least on the current setup. I don't think I'll tinker with PP any further either, the power curve is bad enough as is and would only hurt exit speed from slow speed corners, something we have plenty of this week, and would require overhauling my gear ratios if I got any extra speed at the ends of straights, something that wouldn't be conducive to good acceleration either.

In other words, if there is a faster way of setting up the car, and it's really the driver putting me so high on the leaderboard at the moment, then a lot of people may not like my setup.

Now THAT is one helluva lap. Just when I think I have you firmly in sight someone shoots my scope with a paint ball. I wonder if I'll be able to pull of my desired lap.

New splits.

You are obviously not only a fast driver but also a good tuner. Should you ever feel the urge to share a tune I would be more than happy to help you out... :dopey:

I'm about to post the fastest T2 (unless somebody beats me to the punch *looks pointedly at Animera*), and my T1 was horrible-ish, but first, something I've been oweing for a couple days now, a tune for you all, here's my reasons for not posting sooner:
Part selfishness- I wanted to post a good lap before anyone else got my tune
Part customer service- In posting a good lap I have quality assurance, the car CAN and WILL go that fast
Part Time Constraints- Such is life
Part Laziness- Because I'm fat and ugly

Head over to LDP in a short while, it will be up sooner or later.

Edit: Tune is up now.

T1- 51.567
T2- 1'37.504

I had a .490 at T2 once, but threw it away at Casio 2 (The LAST corner on the track) and at one stage I thought I was looking good for a low .4xx at T2 but blew Spoon 2, all of these probably done with slightly faster T1s, because I absolutely hammered T2 this time, look at the differences in speed between Ian and I for just the 2nd sector, I've done it roughly 2 tenths faster this time.:D I have seen .420 at T1, and this current lap I have is an extremely close call exiting Degner. I checked it about 5 times and would be confident to submit this lap, but there's no excuse but to try and improve with an easier on the judges lap.

Edit 2: Would you look at that? Theoretical fastest time is .306 at T2. Oh, and again, that T1 of Ian's is simply astounding.

Edit 3: May I offer some bike chicane advice? Is that allowed? Advice from slow drivers? That chicane was truly designed for 2 wheelers if you know what I mean.;) 2 wheels is all that will fit through there quickly. Then although it seems you can get a pretty fast entry and get through unscathed, a slower entry and faster exit is definitely the way to go.

First improved splits with Paulie tune 👍

About the tune I think is amazing, great stability and handling, shift setting is perfect, obviously there's a bit of understeer but we know... I really enjoy it.
Thank you Paulie for this tune.

T1: 0'52.595
T2: 1'38.931

Poor up to T1, at long last got spoon a little better, T3 rubbish. :grumpy:

Phillip.

Edit Tried your tune Paulie nice and stable, may suit others but not me, I was over a second slower at the line with it.

Got around to puttin in a few laps today, need a solid hour though, it's hard to keep a rhythem on such a big track. Lots of places to go wrong too! First splits to get me on the board:
